Adriana | 3733 comments Hope you feel better Rachmi! Don't worry about it.

I was able to read my BR read today. I'm on to read The Elite hopefully by the end of today.

message 102: by [deleted user] (new)

I have one hook done and once my niece leaves I'm just reading all night.

message 103: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Great! I'm 100% sure I guessed the title right :D

message 104: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Apparently we are on to quotes. This will be interesting.

message 105: by [deleted user] (new)

Great job on guessing.

message 106: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Thanks (:

message 107: by [deleted user] (new)

I have to write my review for The Goddess Inheritance (Goddess Test, #3) by Aimee Carter and I have a read-a-thon starting for another group tonight at 9pm and I plan on reading late into the night.

message 108: by [deleted user] (new)

I've guessed some of the words in the quote but I can't tell what the others are, here's my guess:

The regret of [Word] is Freedom, the regret of freedom is [Word]

message 109: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments It can't be regret since r has already been confirmed and the first letter in the second word isn't r.

message 110: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments The word freedom will help solve the quote!

message 111: by [deleted user] (new)

It's not regret. It's secret

the secret of happiness is freedom, the secret of freedom is courage

message 112: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Oh my goodness!!! I just figured that out like five seconds ago! I was just about to have that as my guess. Great job Lindsey!

message 113: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha. The quotes are a little harder. But with a little help from google it works out.

message 114: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I was looking for words that ended in ret and then goodreads did the rest. Totally agree the quotes are so much harder than the book guesses :P

message 115: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I think I got the next quote: "“Luke used to give me butterflies. Noah spawned mutant pterodactyls.” - kind of want to read Pushing the Limits now.

message 116: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I'm back! :D Those quotes sound way harder than title. And this is our third quote, right? Good job for you guys!

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes. It's our 3rd. They are harder but once you have a couple words it can be worked out.

message 118: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Glad to know it. So far there is not much to guess, I think?

message 119: by [deleted user] (new)

Nope. I'm going to read for a bit. It's 1:15am. I don't know how much reading I will get in during the day. I have my niece over until tomorrow night. And she just wants to watch movies and color. But once she leaves I'm getting a large coffee and reading.

message 120: by [deleted user] (last edited Aug 11, 2015 01:54AM) (new)

Hey! Well done on getting the next quote :) Makes me want to read the book it came from, anyone know which one?

message 121: by Adriana (last edited Aug 12, 2015 11:44AM) (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I don't, Lindsey most likely does.

The next quote is small so I think it should be easier to identify.

I'm going to read the last BR I have scheduled. Maybe I can try scheduling some more but who knows.

message 122: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Whoa, you guys are so good with this game! I didn't realize that we're already in set #9 while I haven't even guessed one single quote. I tried with set #8 yesterday, but the only words I can figure out was 'no matter' but even it wasn't enough because I didn't have any idea what the whole quote was. And now Adriana guessed set #9 with only one letter, I think? Good jobs Adriana!

message 123: by Adriana (last edited Aug 15, 2015 06:12AM) (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments It was two letters and thank you. It's okay if you haven't had luck guessing. Just read a bunch and the answer will become clear!

message 124: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Hey guys, since I don't have any luck to guess the quotes, the only thing I can do is reading the books :D And let you use the letters from my guess to guess the quotes.

So I still have two letters on hold, feel free to use it whenever you think it helps for guessing the quotes.

message 125: by [deleted user] (new)

Great job!!

message 126: by [deleted user] (new)

Damn Adriana! You're really good with these quotes! You too Lindsey!

And Rachmi, don't worry, you're not the only one who hasn't guessed a single quote XD

message 127: by [deleted user] (new)

The trick for quotes is figuring out one or two main words than working on others than heading over to good old Google.

message 128: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments @Lilith, you haven't guessed it too? I'm so glad I'm not the only one! lol

message 129: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments @Lindsey, I've tried that trick with that 'No matter' quote but there are soooooo many 'no matter' quotes they gave me headache. After searched more than ten quotes I gave up and trust you guys will do it much better than I did :D

message 130: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Rachmi wrote: "Hey guys, since I don't have any luck to guess the quotes, the only thing I can do is reading the books :D And let you use the letters from my guess to guess the quotes.

I asked for the E (:

message 131: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Thank you, Lilith! Lindsey is amazing at the quotes (:

I do the same thing, Lindsey. I look for the number of letter words and look at a bunch of words that can coincide with the letters that are revealed.

message 132: by Adriana (last edited Aug 16, 2015 02:49PM) (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I'm trying to finish reading Siege and Storm with Lillith, but it's kind of boring. I'm trying to read other books in between though. How's everyone else?

message 133: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I've finished 4 books and yes, still haven't written my reviews yet. And now I remember that I have one buddy read started on the 12th which I completelly forgot. I don't know whether my partner shows up or not, haven't checked the thread yet.

message 134: by Adriana (last edited Aug 16, 2015 03:09PM) (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments As long as you write a couple of sentences on your reviews they count. I try to come back later to write my complete thoughts on the book. What buddy read is it?

message 135: by [deleted user] (new)

I have a buddy read going on. Reading one of the group books too but going to start a different book and pick those up when I get home.

message 136: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments @Adriana, it's Wings by Elizabeth Richards buddy read. If my partner didn't show up either. After Wings I'm going to read one of group buddy reads as I don't have any schedule for another buddy reads this week.

message 137: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I just posted 5 reviews and have 6 letters to be used. Feel free to use it anytime :)

And Adriana, You're so good with this guess title game!

message 138: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I seriously am wondering, how you do it, Adriana?! :D How you guess the quotes right with only a few letters? I know we can always search on Google once we get to figure out one or two words, but I've tried it and I still cannot figure it out.

Can it be because English is not my first language? for example with set #15, for second word, I can only think of "seerer" instead of "seemed". I even looked at Google for quote with seerer in it. Now when I saw that it's "seemed", I feel so stupid :D

message 139: by [deleted user] (new)

English is my first and only language and some of those are hard for me. Great job Adriana.

I should have a few reviews up by tomorrow morning. I have been working on my schedule for school which starts on the 22nd. Had to get my classes all worked out and sign up for some tests and put in my application for sub teaching and sub aides for the school district. Now I can spend time reading.

message 140: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Haha, so it doesn't have anything to do with my English, then? or maybe not that big of part :D

It looks like you're going to be super busy this semester, Lindsey! I kinda miss my time when I was in the university.

message 141: by Adriana (last edited Aug 20, 2015 08:43PM) (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments @Rachmi - You are so much better than me with reading/reviewing books. I'm in a bit of a reading slump, but I'll try to read a BR read very soon.

I'm pretty sure Lindsey does the same thing. She's pretty awesome at guessing quotes too. I don't think it's because English isn't your first language. I just look up words that have a certain number of letters in the quote and figure out what the word could be. Then I type the word/words on Goodreads quotes and go looking. It usually has like less than 100 likes so I look for those. Like with the quote now. Set #16. There aren't many three letter words ending in o so I looked it up and it is most likely the word who so I've been looking. It's better if it's more clear, but I get lucky. Thank you (:

Sorry you didn't like Wings :(

@Lindsey - I start class this Monday. Are you a teacher or education major?

message 142: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments Aw thanks Adriana, though I never think that way :)

Sorry you're in reading slump now. Ugh I don't like when I'm in reading slump. Try to read light or funny book, it usually works well for me, to get that reading slump out.

I think I have to read a bit harder next time then. I just got easily frustrated when I cannot find words that fit with the quote, lol.

Have you read Wings? It was just a disappointed for me, too bad as I have high expectation that it'll be better than previous books.

message 143: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments You should!

I think I'll read a light read. I just kind of don't know with this BR read. I'll try to continue on though I might stop if I don't like it.

It annoys me too when I can't figure it out right away. All that searching...

No, I haven't read that trilogy. I just saw your review of it and saw that you didn't enjoy it. I agree that it's nice to at least finish a series. I'm so bad with series. I start one and then that's it. I'm trying to finish some this year.

message 144: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm taking 4 classes online. Two for school and two to prep for my last part of the exam for teaching in October.

I also nanny for two families. Total of 4 kids under 4. Two 3 year olds, a 2 year old and a newborn.

@Adriana the semester for me starts the 22nd but classes really don't start until Monday. Yes. I'm going in for teaching. I have my degree in child development and one special education early childhood credential. I have to take the CSET to get into the next credentials for special education.

I always try to finish a series but usually read some in the series and than go back.

message 145: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments I'm taking 2 online classes and three on campus. I'm going for elementary education myself.

Wow! You must be busy all the time.

message 146: by Adriana (new)

Adriana | 3733 comments Does everyone know that this is the last quote?

Abbie: "There will be a cut off point where the game completely finishes. We will put a warning on here and the team review threads that teams have so many days to get their reviews in and guess their quote.

After that, the game completely finishes, so we can get final scores up. :) "

message 147: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm lucky to have my classes online this semester. The next one I will have 2 online and 4 on camps with student teaching.

Yes. School keeps me busy and than I have the kids I watch when the moms need me. Could be once a week or more. Depends on their work schedules.

message 148: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I can finally guess the quote! yay! And then Sarah lock our thread as it's our last quote. I feel like she's waiting for me to guess it, lol

@Adriana, I kind of have love-hate feeling about series. I love it when it's good but then I won't know whether it's good or not if I don't read it, which will lead me to hate it when it's bad, hahaha.

@Lindsey, you're awesome! I just cannot imagine how busy you will be what with all that classes, study and not to mention being a nanny.

message 149: by [deleted user] (new)

Being a nanny and reading helps a lot with np how busy I am with school. Usually I don't have a social life during school. But I enjoy being busy cause I know once I'm done with my school it will pay off. I will have 3 credentials and a masters in elementary teaching with a concentration in special education. I will enter at the top level for teaching.

message 150: by Rachmi (new)

Rachmi | 4882 comments I don't understand your educational system :P and what does mean with top level teaching? Here in Indonesia if you want to become a teacher you at least have to have a master degree, it's for elementary until senior high school teaching. But if you want to teach in university to have to have higher degree. But you can get concentration degree for example for special education just like you have since when you study for master degree. Hope you understand what I mean :)
