Fisher works, if it's being used as "a person who fishes" - meaning of "fish" must be intact. Any word from the name of a fish on the list will work, so, yes for The Glass Castle.

Yes, the word appears to come from "fish":
"The meaning of 'there's something fishy' is something of doubtful character or of some shady deal where the motives are suspected. The term 'fishy' is thought to have arisen from the notion "as slippery as a fish" or as an allusion to meat with a "fishy" taste, an indication that the meat is bad. A simpler explanation is that old fish (not good to eat) smells fishy with bad odour caused by a chemical named trimethylamine which is released when fish begins to break down."

Sorry Sandy - I was thinking of the cover option since there is a lady fishing with a net on the cover. But, DUH - if you have the word in the title, you don't need the cover option. I guess I need more caffeine - the brain cells are not working well this morning!

No, sorry, the words must match exactly, except for variants of the word "fish."

I hoping because "Starfish" works, the word "Dragonfish" would as well.I'm thinking of using Polly and the Pirates, Volume 2: Mystery of the Dragonfish

And I just found Dragonfish on the list, so never mind! I seriously didn't think it was the name of a real fish!
I haven't read this yet, or even picked it up at the library, but I'm hoping this would work:
by Keven HenkesIt has the "childrens" genre on mainpage; 217 pages; per Amazon.com it is rated for grades 3-7 (ages 8-12)

since it's a 5 point task, you can use short childrens books. From what I read in the reviews, etc., it does not fit within the "early elementary school" exclusion, so you can use this.

Sorry for the delay - I fell into the trap of expecting the read "new" indication.
No, this won't work. As the task states, the words must match exactly. Since "frog" as a word does not appear in the list, this book won't work.

If the name of the fish contains more than one word, only one of the words must appear in the title/subtitle, but the words must match exactly.
Variations of the word "fish" may be used so long as they preserve the meaning of the word - for instance, "fishing," or "fished" would work. "Selfish" would not work.
REQUIRED: if the cover option is chosen, include the cover in your post.
REQUIRED: If the title option is chosen, state the name of the fish that you are using.
