The first part of the deck.

Mel stepped onto the deck, the wind whipping through her hair. Henrik had told she was free to look around, but she felt like she was doing something wrong. The ship was glamorous. "Henrik?" she called out. Was he on board?
Henrik turned around. He had been near the mast, hammering a few nails in to make it more steady. He saw Mel, and smiled."Right here!" he called, hammering in the final nail. "How do you like it?"
"It's amazing," Mel said with a smile. And that it was. She took a few steps closer to Henrik and bent down to see what he was working on. "Need any help?"
Henrik straightened up, putting down the hammer. "No, thank you. I think I'm done here, anyway." He looked around the deck, checking for any leaks or holes, but everything looked great. "Thank you, by the way. She may be empty right now, but with a good crew, we'll have her back in her former glory in no time!"
Mel nodded. "Has anyone else mentioned joining?" she asked hopeful. It was really lonely just her and Henrik.
Henrik frowned. "There's one other person, I think. We're going to meet later in the Faithful Bride."
Marlene walked across the deck, amazed. This was the biggest ship she had ever seen!
Henrik followed her, somewhat uncertain of her opinion. He hoped she liked the ship. He walked over to Mel, hoping to introduce the two. "Marlene," he called. "This is Mel, the first mate. Mel, this is Marlene. She will work in our crew as a hunter and tracker."
"Greetings, Mel." Marlene nodded to the first mate and continued examining the ship with her eyes.
