What exactly should there be in a writer's journal?

I'm thinking of making one but don't really know what it should contain :)

I know for me personally, I keep a few different journals. I keep one like a diary about what happened in the day, what my thoughts are about my writing, etc. I have another one that I write down all the good writing tips/exersices that I think will help me grow as a writer. And the last one, I keep to jot down any ideas I have about my current projects that I dont have time to get to right away.

I personally think that if you want a to keep a writers journal, then what it contains is really up to you. Figure out what you want out of keeping a journal and go from there.
