Finished Daughters of the Grail...loved it of course...I was really wishing Raoul and Bridget would end up together since most of the story was on them, Claire and Simon.

My book club read it and loved it. I have Rasputin's Daughter, is it any good?

Now I'm reading The Time of Singing by Elizabeth Chadwick and I love it!

It will be published in September in the US by Sourcebooks under the title For the King's Favor

Anyway, as I said, it is beautifully written & it will haunt you when you are done. I loved it!

I haven't read Rasputin's Daughter but I would like to.

I read Rasputin's Daughter & enjoyed it. I also read THE ROMANOV BRIDE. Both were very good; but I still favor THE KITCHEN BOY

Thanks Rosalie!

Your description encouraged me to buy the book, Thanks!!

I will. have you read Year of Wonders?

I've got We Two on my shelf to be read--let me know what you think about it!

I will. have you read Year of Wonders?"
I've read Year of Wonders--I'd be interested to hear what you thought about it, if you've read it.

It looks good--let us know what you think of it!"
*smacks head*
I had replied about progress on this book at another group and forgot Tina :)
I liked Anna a lot and am now well into book #2 Fleur. There's a lot of day-to-day details that some readers might not care for, and while the Kirovs are highly connected you aren't taken into the royal court itself, you only see it in the *sidelines*. I have a review up on GR for Anna.

I loved it. The descriptions of the characters and the setting made you feel as if you were right there with them. I thought it was an interesting moral dilemma for them to have to choose whether to stay and stop the spread or leave. It really showed you who had character and who was selfish.
The main character was a great example of a strong woman. I really enjoyed her relationship with the minister's wife. He was something else all together.
What did you think?

A small village in Northern England that chooses to stay secluded, knowing they have a huge risk of dying, so they do not spread the plague any farther north or elsewhere. Very good characters.
I'd add it to my list!

That's okay, I caught your update on the other site :) Thanks for remembering me though! I'm glad you liked it!

I really liked the whole series. After joining this group last year, I've read all the SKP books I could get ahold of. Started out just to see if they were as good as everyone said & gotta admit...She is pretty wonderful!

The Queen's Daughter
I enjoyed it, and read the whole book in a day.

Reading the Lady in the Tower now, with the group. I can't decide how much I like it...

Pleasure Palace is good for a fluffy read. Still slogging through Weir's Captive Queen.

Which Anne?

Ok, I figured that was the one, but then I thought you could just really like Anne of Cleves! :)
We are currently reading The Lady in the Tower by Alison Weir as a group read. It's about Anne's fall and has been pretty good so far. I believe it's a fairly recent book.

I read that book last week and loved it! It really is interesting especially when dealing with Katherine & Mary. I also liked that she had a bit of a new take on Jane, it wasn't the same old, same old...

I have finished PG's The Red Queen and EC's For the King's Favor in the last week.

I'm usually not all that fond of NF, but I enjoyed that as well.
Robin, looking forward to your thoughts on the Campion book. I do so love the books from Vine because I don't have to follow the publisher's rule of when to post a review :)
