A man lives in the penthouse(Top floor)of an apartment building. Every morning, he takes the elevator down to the first floor, then exits the building and goes to work. When he comes back in the evening, he walks up the stairs all the way to his penthouse. Unless it's raining, that is. If it's raining, the man takes the elevator up to the penthouse. But only if it's raining.
Can you explain the man's strange behavior?
