Thomas Du Plessis (tjdp) | 3 comments There has been a LOT of rubbish written and said about Amazon's Pay Per Page for Kindle Unlimited recently.

It is overwhelmingly a great idea from Amazon that will help authors and readers alike.

Here are what some authors think. http://bit.ly/amazonppp

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) If it's from Amazon, it earns my automatic distrust. I don't much care what any 'initial buzz' says, either...how many times have we seen early-hoopla proven false?

Plus the fact that I am adamantly against e-readers in general. They're a disaster for culture and literacy both. Half of all these downloads are never even read. The downloads that are read are fantasy series or trashy erotic franchises.

Ricardo (ricardofayet) | 2 comments Of course, it's early to tell. But I think I agree with Ben Galley in that subscription services usually devaluate the products — in this case, the books — and that's not a good thing for authors in general if consumers are moving that way.
