Gwen ran towards her classroom, her bare feet slapping soundless at the smooth floor. First day of school and here she is--15 minutes late! As always. So much for being a werewolf, Gwen, she mentally scolded herself.
"I'm so sorry I'm late!" she blurted as she got to the classroom door.

Katya looked at Jigiri.
"Calm down, it's fine, we're about to do partner work for Science, want to be partners?" she asked.
Ms.Asagi smiled, "Everyone, grab a partner, you will be answering the questions on the board in your notebooks." she said, motioning to the whiteboard.

Octavia looked around for a partner. Zander moaned softly. He hated partners because they always asked him about his life and who he was...and to be honest, he didn't know most of the answers himself.
Nikita shrugged, he didn't really care. Usually he'd always simply not have a partner, he didn't like working with others because others are annoying.
Octavia turned around and looked at Zander. "Hi! Wanna be partners?" She asked. Zander looked up at her with his bright ice blue eyes silently. Octavia frowned softly. "You...you may say no if you'd like..." she said.
Nikita looked at the rest of the students, he sighed. He noticed the boy and Octavia talking...well Octavia was talking and the boy was staring...More or less. He shook his head, "Simply say yes." he muttered, annoyed.
Zander sighed. "Fine," he muttered. Octavia smiled. "Cool! This'll be fun!"
Gwen tiptoed to the back of the class, then sat down with a sigh of relief. Good thing Ms. Asagi didn't seem to be mad about her being late. She opened her notebook then looked around for a partner.

She hated having to sit quietly in class. Her desire to want to fight showed, as she constantly fidgeted around.

Victoria sat silently in the desk in the back corner, doing the work and occasionally glancing up at the other students. She heard whispers from the students' minds, but she tried to ignore them.
Andrew look around, everyone had partners, he sighed. I don't even know anybody here, I hope this class ends soon.
Soon Octavia and Zander were done. Octavia took the paper. "I'll take it up for us," she said with a smile. Zander nodded his head. "Okay," he said. Octavia jumped out of the seat and took the paper up. She went to Ms. Asagi. "Is there a spot where you want me to put this or do I just hand it to you?" She asked.
Ms.Asagi smiled, "Just give to me, thank you." she said and took the papers. She put them in a box and put it next to her bag.
Octavia went to her seat. She noticed that Zander had gone back to his drawing so she went back to her drawings too.
"Hi, Katya. I'm Gwen," she said with a smile.
Gwen scribbled down Jigiri's answers, then stopped halfway through it. She can sense Jigiri fidgeting around her seat, like she has so much pent up energy just waiting to burst.
"I think you'd like the self-defense class. There's not much sitting around happening there, you won't be bored," she told Jigiri, grinning.

Octavia frowned. "I have no idea what my next class is..." she said. She thought for a second.
Gwen rolled her eyes, her wolf's ears picking up whispers around her. "Check your schedule, people...next class is with Fa--Mr. Collins for self-defense! He's at the gym." She informed the class. Oh, she's so excited! She took her new friends' hands, dragging them out of the room.

She hadn't laughed in so long, it felt weird, but it also felt good. How nice it was to spend time around people just like herself and to make new friends. She was starting to feel at home.
