Oh, believe me I have tried so many times since kindergarten until now. I guess I'm just not the friend material. I'm too honest and that hurts a lot of people and I'm kind of abrasive. People don't like that and I've tried to hide my rude side but my rude side is my real side and no one can possibly hide their real selves. Well, it's not like I want friends at school anyways. I'll just keep my GoodReads friends :)

Wow. Intense friendship discussion going on. Heck, I'll jump in!I only have, like two really close friends. I barely have any really good friends, I just have a bunch of people with whom I'm simply friends with. People don't like me because I'm too naive and innocent. They think that I'm too much of a 'goody two shoes' or whatever. I just brush away their comments that I dislike and go on. I'm not going to change for them; they should just accept me for who I am. The same applies for you, Avalon! People think I'm too energetic at times, then too quite at others, because I sometimes have mood swings. (I actually do take mood medicine... That probably has something to do with it... But idk...) People shouldn't be so judgmental, I hate judging others! If I do judge people, I always feel really bad about it. So they shouldn't judge you, but you can't let it bother you. I know that's really hard, I have to remind myself of that every day, no joke. Their comments only matter if you let them.
Yeah I don't let it bother me but sometimes I feel alone. I'm not going to change for people. I'm not going to stop being myself just because people don't like my real self. Who cares if I'm too honest for them? One day I'll meet someone who's going to be honest right back at me. Thanks so much. You guys are so right. But I'm also at fault. I shouldn't be too honest because sometimes it hurts people but I feel that if I'm not honest with them then I'm being a liar and I hate lies. Oh gosh, this is so mushy, I hate mushy stuff xD But really, thanks so much Kait and Jules (I like the nickname Kait gave you; can I call you that?)
I feel alone often too. Last year was horrible for me. I have divorced parents, and it can be really hard for me, sometimes, to be friends with guys. Especially if I think they might like me. Last year was just chaotic and stressful for me. Way too stressful. And, yes, of course you can call me Jules!!! That's what my family sometimes calls me <3

Aww I'm so sorry Jules :( I know what you're going through. My parents divorced four years ago and I have gotten a new stepdad and my stepdad is really strict and tough on me and my relationship with my real dad is rocky. But just try to keep it together for the sake of your family. They must be feeling the same exact thing you are feeling. Hold it in together for them. I had to hold it in for my brother and sisters even though I'm younger and I knew they were being strong for me. You may think you're alone, but your family is there for you when you need them and I'll always be here if you need me :)
You too Kait :( I'm sorry I don't know what to say about your friends since I have no experience on that but I would say that friends who don't like you are not friends at all. If someone didn't like a caring person like you, then something is wrong with them in the head.
I'm sorry about your guy trouble, both of you guys. I know how that feels too. That's part of the reason why I don't have many girl friends. My advice is probably going to be bad but if it helps, stay away from boys in general. I've gone through a lot in elementary school that I had developed a fear of boys (please don't laugh at my phobia) and I'm kind of over it right now but I still get a bit scared. If I were you, I'd stay away from them. The only thoughts they have on their minds are disgusting and boys are slimy freaks (except for some boys on GoodReads and in real life that I know who are really nice).

Wow Ava, that's great!!! I totally almost have a fear of boys too! I have a whole lot more trouble trusting them, and I'm always afraid that they would betray me...

Yeah, we can't help it if we're honest and rude right Layla? Sheesh, society takes us honest people for granted. XD In the future when society is divided into five factions, we'll be the leaders of the honest faction. We need a name for it. Hmm, how about...oh, I know! Candor! In the copy I brought, they had a test at the end of the book. I took it and I was tied between Dauntless and Candor but I chose Candor because, even though I'm reckless and kinda brave like a Dauntless, but I'm more of the Candor type. Maybe I got the Dauntless bravery because I'm honest. I'm not afraid to say what I think.
Really? My favorite was Amity, but I would love Erudite if they were all like Cara.

I got an ear piercing when I was like two years old xD I have three piercings in each ear only because my mom loves jewelry and she loves buying earring for me to try on xD When I get older I want to get lots of tattoos :D My mom says I can dye my hair whenever I want because I'm tired of blond hair. I wanna get dark hair to go with my green eyes. I'll make my hair black on top and then forms to green or blue on the bottom. But I also want to keep my blond hair because I kinda like it :( I'm so indecisive. Any ideas?

Ok, my sister was blonde and dyed it dark. She likes it both ways, but I think she's gonna dye it slowly back...Just know it's hard to go back blonde once dark. ;) My sister also dyed the bottom of her hair blue-green when she was blonde, and it turned ugly gray. :P With dark hair, Idk...My sis also dyed her hair a light brown with the blonde, which was pretty, but she didn't like being in between. Her poor hair. XD

Well I don't have a problem but I don't really like it, not because I think they're "bad words" which is quite stupid, in my opinion. How can mere words be considered "bad"? So a different name for female dog is now bad? Kinda stupid. I only don't like cussing because my dad and my twin sisters are extreme cussers and it gets kinda annoying when they cuss. I don't mind when GoodReads users cuss, because I just block it out. So, no Kait, you're cussing won't bother me. Wow, took me that long just to say that xD
Isn't it funny how people use asterisks? It's like "oh if I put a star on this letter it isn't a cuss anymore!" Which is sooo stupid because it's still a cuss either way..

Wow you're so luuuucky! I absolutely LOVE dark hair :)
Words may not be "bad" in your opinion, but it's mostly the context in which they're used in are clearly meant to mean something bad or whatever. And putting the star things doesn't not make it a swear, but at least it helps censor it out. Even you do use ** that doesn't make it okay to do it all the time.
Plus, there have to be some rules and boundaries. I know swearing makes some people feel uncomfortable and there are some younger people on Goodreads, so it's just better not to do it. Some groups allow it and that's fine, it just depends on the rules

Cussing doesn't equal bad in my opinion. There's a lot of reasons why people cuss. When I was in the dark, depressive part of my life I would cuss a lot and it kind of helped to vent anger. But it's true that there are younger GoodReads users and I'm not sure they'll like the fact that other users are cussing. LOL when I was six I heard my twin sisters cussing at my brother and I ran around the house screaming cuss words and my mom freaked out xDD Lesson I learned: my siblings are bad examples.
