[ 1 ] Please don't be an asshat. Don't stir up drama outside of roleplays. Make your grandmother proud by minding your manners and having common courtsey to all.

[ 2 ] Be original. At no cost is plagarism ever acceptable; if you want to incorporate someone else's template, design, etc. into your own, for heaven's sake, ask. Also, please keep in mind that we expect all creations to be original; recycling, in this case, is not looked upon favorably.

[ 3 ] Wait until your character has been approved before jumping into roleplays. Again, common courtesy, y'all.

[ 4 ] Cursing is allowed, but keep it classy. Also, cursing at other people is forbidden.

[ 5 ] Be reasonable. We have not applied any limitations when it comes to character making or collaborations, but please do not make any more face or character claims than you can handle and get involved in thirty-some collaborations when you will follow through with only five. You know your limits. Don't go overboard.

[ 6 ] Be appropriate. Keep the gore and sex to a minimum. As much as we all love romance, this does not give you the go-ahead to create Fifty Shades of Grey: Selection Edition. Keep this PG-13 and if you really want to pull out all the NSFW vibes you have, take it to a 1+1 group or PM.

[ 7 ] No Mary Sues, Gary Stus, overpowered characters, and powerplaying allowed. This should be self-explanatory. We want realistic characters who are flawed and full of weakness as well as strength. It's no fun roleplaying with someone who's perfect, and it's definitely no fun to control another character's actions for your own benefit. The beauty of roleplay lies in the fact that it is improvised story-telling and plot-making. Drop the need for "perfection" and your selfish, egotistical mindset; take note that this is a dickhead-free zone (people-wise; we are more than welcome to dickheaded characters).

[ 8 ] Respect the mods. If we ask you to refrain from doing something, revise a character or a post, etc. please be respectful and do what we ask of you. If you have any questions or complaints, come to this thread for help.

[ 9 ] This is a semi-advanced roleplay. While there is no minimum requirement for sentences or lines, we expect that the roleplayers here use proper spelling, grammar, and a healthy amount of description. All rp posts should be written in third person and past tense. Godmodding/taking control of other people's characters is completely forbidden as well.

[ 1 ] The contestant cannot leave the palace on her own accord—she can only be dismissed by the prince himself.

[ 2 ] There is no timeline for the Selection—it can last from days to years.

[ 3 ] The contestant cannot arrange her times with the prince. If in a large social setting, this rule does not apply.

[ 4 ] The contestant cannot fight or sabotage other participants. If the contestant is found laying her hands on another contestant, causing her stress, stealing from her, or doing anything that might diminish her personal relationship with the prince, the prince will decide whether to dismiss her or not.

[ 5 ] The contestant can only have a romantic relationship with the prince. If the contestant is caught in a relationship with someone else, it is considered treason and punishable by death.

[ 6 ] If the contestant is found breaking any of Illéa's written laws, her punishment will be tied to that offense.

[ 7 ] The contestant cannot eat food or wear any clothes not provided to her by the palace.

[ 8 ] The contestant must be courteous to photographers, and allow them to see her lifestyle with the prince.

[ 9 ] For each week the contestant stays at the palace, her family will be compensated.

[ 10 ] If the contestant is no longer in the Selection, she will have an aide to help her adjust to her new life after the Selection. Her aide will help the contestant find new housing and employment.

[ 11 ] If the contestant makes it to the top ten, she is considered an Elite, and will be required to learn about particular inner workings of the life and obligations she would have as a princess. Until then, the contestant is not permitted to seek out such information.

[ 12 ] The contestant's caste number is automatically raised to a Three, unless she was already a Three prior to being Selected. Her family's caste remains the same. If the contestant was already a Two prior to the Selection, her and her family's status will remain the same.

[ 13 ] If the contestant wins the Selection, she and her family will become Ones and members of the royal family. The contestant will also marry the prince and become the crowned princess of Illéa, taking on all the rights and responsibilities of the title.

[ 14 ] The contestant must be a virgin.

[ 15 ] If the prince invites the contestant to do something with him, she cannot refuse—regardless if it's dinner, outings, kissing, and even more than kissing.
*** These rules can be and always are broken, but if the royalty discovers any of the Selected has purposefully broken one of the rules, they will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. If you're gonna break some laws, have the decency to be discreet.
