Jason nodded slightly and smiled at her before turning back to look at the books, he found a few that he'd liked as a child. Hell he's even met some of the authors of these books, maybe even snacked on a few of them. Unfortunately the book he was looking for wasn't here. He sighed softly and shook his head slightly, "Don't see it" he said and sighed again before turning slightly and looking at her.
"There's this thing called chivalry that most men don't have." But I sure do, Landon added a bit cockily in his head. "Don't sweat it. Anyway. What are you working on? Need any help?" He gestured to her table again, though he couldn't sit down across from her without an invitation. It wasn't the whole, 'vampires need to be invited' thing, it was that he didn't want to be rude and impose if she didn't want his assistance.

"Damn, I'm sorry." Temperance pursed her lips, tilting her head at him as she thought. "Well... You could come back in tomorrow night, if you like. That, as I said, is when I'm getting in a few more older books." She couldn't remember the exact names of them or she would save him the trouble of having to come back. She did feel bad, though, as she hopped back off of the stool and turned her head to the books with a soft, pleased sigh. "Is there anything here you're interested in?"

Jason shook his head slightly "No not really" he said and sighed softly before giving her hand one last look. He still felt the urge to drink her blood, but he had it more under control now. "Thank you anyway" he said after a moment and smiled before starting to go back upstairs. "What time do you close?" he asked. He like to come at night again but wasn't sure if he'd be able to if she closed earlier on Sundays.

The woman's skull throbbed and she brought her uninjured hand to her forehead for a second in confusion, suddenly not able to remember what she had been asking the strange man about. She sighed silently and nodded at the bookcase. "That's solid information to go on," she teased before backing up and lifting herself to sit on the workbench. "Well, you can go ahead and pick through them if you like. They won't turn to dust. Wait! Except that one." She then pointed to the top shelf at an older-looking book before winking with a smile to show she was teasing.
