Adding new editions

I/we am/are about to publish a new edition of this book. This would be a new publisher, new ISBN, slightly different cover, and the "author" will be a tad different, as the book is an epistolary novel, credited to Sophia Nachalo and Yarostan Vochek, but actually written by Fredy Perlman. The original version doesn't have Perlman's name on it, but the new version will add "as told by Fredy Perlman" to the cover. So, what's the protocol for adding a new edition like this?

PS, I could swear I had librarian status, but don't seem to have librarian powers.

Not sure what you are asking. A new edition would be added and combined with the existing edition.

Hmm, ok, well I guess to start, the new isbn for this new edition is 9780939306053, and the new publisher is Left Bank Books. Not sure how author should get listed. As stated before, it's an epistolary novel credited to Sophia Nachalo and Yarostan Vochek, but written by Fredy Perlman, we have it listed as "as told by Fredy Perlman, if anyone wants to add this info. I'll have the new cover done pretty soon.

As far as librarian powers go, everyone is able to add books and can edit those that they've added for a short time (not sure how long - it's been a while since I wasn't a librarian!), but that doesn't constitute actual "librarian powers".

I notice that all authors are actually listed on the other editions, with Fredy Perlman listed last.

Oh, I guess also add that the new edition is 722 pages, and paperback. As well, the two Black and Red editions have the same cover, so the cover from the 2002 edition can be added to the 1976 edition.

Hi, I've been trying to add the Chinese edition of my original work "Land and the Ruling Class in Hong Kong" on my Author Page, but have failed.

I need help in adding the Chinese edition.

Another question is: can all the three editions (i.e. original + 2nd Edition + Chinese edition) be combined?

Done. To show on your author page, the primary author name has to be idenntical with the author of the other works. You had the name in both English and Chinese in the single author name. I fixed this.

Since this is the same work as the original edition, I combined them. They will still not show separately on your author page since it is a single "work".

It gets confusing when a thread linked to a specific book or author is also used for other books. I am closing this thread. Start new ones for other books.
