She moved towards the bathroom, thankful that he decided he wasn't going to push himself into the locker room too. She felt her heart racing in her chest and tried to relax. But she couldn't.
About ten minutes later, she sat next to the test. Her eyes big with tears. The first one said positive. She was pregnant. The room felt like it was spinning. (So, she isn't really pregnant. It's just a false alarm. Bit she can't bring herself to take the other one just yet.) she clutched onto the counter. It wasn't true. It couldn't possibly be true?
Raegan pulled up a chair next to his. "I just wanted to see if you were okay." She mumbled softly, resting her face in her hands. She wasn't quite sure what she was going for but she was surprised at what she had found. A lost girl making one last attempt to make herself feel better. Raegan thought that it was hard to find happiness. Up until she realized she had an amazing best friend who would do anything for her.

Jack just let out an empty sigh, throwing the tennis ball across the hall so it bounced against the wall and came back to him. He wished he could have seen Gewls. He wished she was just there; even if they didn't say anything, his day would be a million times better if he just had her there with him.
He heard the door open beside him and looked up to see his partner, and he stood up with a sigh. "Finally," he murmured. "Let's go," he said impatiently to the tall girl that towered over his short height, and with one more glance to the door of the locker room, he started down the hall.
Caesar shrugged, crossing his arms as he leaned his head back. "I'm stressed," he answered honestly. "I was just on a phone call with Hope, and she's trying to go through her records to find out about that Alessa or Monroe girl or whatever name she goes by," he said with the wave of his hand. "Somehow she found out that she's here, and now she's trying to plan something to wipe either one or both of them out so they don't exchange too much information." He rubbed his face as he sat forward, leaning in closer to Raegan before he gave her a cold smile. "So yeah, I'm pretty stressed. How are you?"

Gewls walked out, feeling like this giant cloud was over her head. She was in so much of a haze she could hardly breathe. How? How did this even happen? She kept the pregnancy test in the box, located in her pocket. She had to keep it there for some reason. Effie… she needed Effie. Or Bex. Or Kieera. Someone. Anyone… she wanted a shoulder to cry on. And in about five months she was going to get kicked out. Once they noticed. Maybe she should just go to headmaster. God, she was as scuzzy as her mother and father. Her face seemed to pale the more that she thought about it. And then, just a few feet in front of her was Jack. And she didn't want him to know.
"It was probably Franky or Demitrious that let her know. Which shocks me really, Demitrious is shaping out to be a pretty decent guy since he is totally in love with Effie." Well, maybe it wasn't love. But Raegan saw the way the students interacted with each other. She wasn't blind. "I just… I don't know how I'm feeling. I have to work with that Aedan guy. When I wish they would have put us together." She mumbled. She worked easier with Caesar.

She ran a hand through her hair as if to push those distracting thoughts away so she could think about how much she utterly despised the arrogant, selfish, bitter boy standing on front of her.
Jack didn't know why, but something told him that he should look back over his shoulder one more time. And in the spy world, instincts were what kept you alive. So he did what his gut was telling him to do, and glanced over his shoulder just in time to meet Gewls's eyes, and he almost smiled until he saw the immediate panicked look in her eyes. "Gewls?" he asked, as if he was afraid it wasn't her. He stopped walking, and the girl beside him groan as he tossed her a look and started walking back towards his girlfriend. "You okay?" he asked as he was halfway down the hall.
Caesar nodded his head side to side, tossing around the thought of Demitrious or Francesca telling Hope. It was definitely possible, but Franky was obviously developing a soft spot for the little cluster of kids out of seemingly nowhere, and Rae was right. Demitri was most certainly head over heels for the crazy girl that had a target drawn on her back. "I know, babe," he said sympathetically, offering a smile as he reached out to take her hand, wrapping it in both of his. "Kind of a pain in the ass that they split us up. We always work better together." He found himself playing with her fingers, tracing the lines on her hands.

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay." Link commented, as if that would make her okay. She was severely damaged and he was pretty sure it would have been a smart idea for him to back awka and pretend like he hadn't run into her. That would have been completely and utterly brilliant. Unfortunately, he wasn't all that brilliant.
Gewls wanted to turn away and pretend like she hadn't seen him. God, she wanted nothing more than to stay far away from the beautiful blue eyed boy. "I'm fine." She blinked. Holding herself together around him before she could escape and find someone to talk too. She had to get it out of her system. She had to let someone know and she sure as hell wasn't going to tell him. He didn't need to know. And when she got kicked out of th wchool, she would never have to see him again. He would never know of the child. That was the goal anyways. "See you later." She mumbled.
Raegan felt chills run down her legs when he took her hands. Something about this time when he touched her. There was just a slight jolt of electricity. "I know. It's stupid. By whatever the case•… at least I'm allowed to still come and talk to you about stuff." She would go insane if he wasn't around. That was just the way she was.

"Oh, I'm lovely," Effie said, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she gave him a bitter smile. "I mean, my life is crumbling to pieces in my hands and I'm going literally insane because I haven't slept in three days, and I'm pretty sure all of my friends hate spending time with me because they can all tell I want to kill myself, but other than that, my life is brilliant right now." The panicked looking smile never faded as she spoke, and she glued her feet to the floor to see just how well - or badly - he'd take what she said.
Jack frowned, reaching out to grab her hand before she could run off. "Hey, whoa," he said, giving a light yet nervous chuckle as he spun her around to face him. He didn't want her running off; he could tell something was wrong, and he had that inner desire to fix it, whatever it was. "Something's obviously bothering you, babe. What's up?" he insisted, raising a brow as his grip somewhat tightened on her hand. He couldn't have her going anywhere quite yet.
"I'm always here for you. You know that," Caesar said with a flashy half smile as he looked at her. "What kind of stuff do you want to talk about? I've got all afternoon until our teams come back," he told her, glancing at the watch on his wrist before he leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head. He watched her intently with eager eyes, taking in all of her rather bluntly like he always did. It was no secret that was stunning, and Caesar wasn't going to deny himself the little pleasures of admiring her.

Effie had definitely fallen into the deeper end of the pool, the question now seemed to be… who would save her from drowning? Because at this point it didn't look like anyone was going to save her and link couldn't decide if he was strong enough. Lots of stupid crap had gone on between them and they had faught hard enough with each other. He didn't want to butt heads. He just wanted to be friends again.
Gewls tried to yank her hand away from his, but his grip seemed mighty right compared to the usual soft guy. "Let go Jack." She mumbled. Like she was going to tell him she was pregnant? That was insane. And she wasn't going to go let him know what was happening. "You have a job you need to do. And I have one myself. We can talk after this mission is over." Maybe? Maybe they would talk. She might not though because she didn't want to be near him anymore. She would probably break up with him in the next couple months anyways. He wouldn't stick around.
"What do you want To talk about caesar?" Raegan had to ask. It seemed like something might have been going on in his kind. But she wasn't quite surw of her instincts we eight. But she wanted to be. "I actually… usually… I don't know… lately…" she decided she was going to be honest with him about her feelings. He was her best friend and if there was anything she was sure about, it was that she loved him more than anything in the world. A whole lot more than she loved Riley. Which was saying a lot.

When he didn't say anything in return, Effie just scoffed bitterly and gave a fake thumbs up. "Great talking to you. We should do this again. It was lovely." She spun around again, gripping the skin of her rib cage so tight she thought it might bleed, and started down the stairs towards the foyer. She had no idea where she was going or what she was going to do, but she just felt the need to walk around quickly like she had a purpose, somewhere to be, when she actually felt like she was getting lost in the school she'd called home for almost three years.
Jack's frown only grew deeper as he looked down at her, and he decided he was going to refuse to let go until she either told him what was going on or physically hurt him, because right now his heart was hammering in his chest, pounding inside his ears so loudly he could hardly hear himself speak. "Don't push me away, Gewls. I know there's something bothering you. Just say it," he pleaded, his blue eyes locking on to her's. The only thing that ran through his mind was the fear that she was breaking up with him, that she was having a mild panic attack because she wasn't ready to do it yet, and all he wanted was to be assured that everything was okay. The look in her eyes, however, told him everything was fucked. And he didn't know how to fix it.
Caesar smiled softly at her stuttering, slightly panicked as to why she was so anxious all of a sudden to talk to him, but he reached over to pat her knee. "C'mon, spit it out, baby girl," he told her quietly, keeping his hand on her leg as he looked up at her with emerald green eyes. "I want to talk about whatever you want to talk about, so go ahead and talk. I'm all ears." He gave a shrug and flashed another smile, hoping it'd ease her up enough to hear what she had to say.

Gewls looked away from him. She didn't want to tell him first! And he just didn't seem to get that. "We're over Jack." She mumbled, tears building in her eyes. She loved him a lot. But she would rather end things then let him know that she was carrying his child. And it might have been stupid, but at this point she didn't know what she was doing. "I don't love and I don't want to be around you anymore. You are irrating and you don't respect my boundaries." She finally yanked her wrist out of his hand, rubbing her skin gently to get blood circulating. "I just can't do this little thing anymore." She motioned between them, befor blinking back her tears. Holy shit. It was like she was tearing out both of their hearts and stomping on them like an angry person. "Now go do your job and leave me the hell alone."
"Lately…" Raegan felt nervous. Her palms were sweaty and her arms kind of shaky. This was a major anxiety attack. "I've been feeling more and more attracted to you Caesar. You know how we love each other, well this feels like I'm falling in love with you." She didn't know how to explain it much more than the way she was. She wasn't just saying she loved him like a friend anymore. It was becoming this 'I need you always' type of thing. She used to be able to go a certain amount of days without talking to him all the time. But working with him, and speaking all the time made her realize how much she needed him. She depended on him and it changed her personality from being independent.

Still, she had one final thing to say. "And if you really missed the old Effie, you would be doing a lot more to get her back than sleeping with the school slut."
Jack's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, witnessing, let alone actually experiencing it on a first hand basis. He wasn't expecting this at all, let alone so soon after they literally just proclaimed their love for each other. He took a stop back from her, his face pale and his whole body feeling numb. "Did I do something wrong?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper as he stared at her face in shock, waiting impatiently for an answer.
Caesar listened to her with a calm expression and an open heart, though his heart rate had certainly just jumped through the roof. When he was sure she was finished speaking, his lips tugged into a hesitant half smile. "Funny you should say that," he whispered, but before the sentence even left his lips, he was cupping her face in his hand and pulling her close, meeting her halfway to press his lips to hers. His kiss was gentle, not forcing anything on to her that she wasn't ready for, but it took him a good few seconds before he finally willed himself to pull away. "Because I've been spending weeks trying to tell you that," he finished, keeping his face close to hers while he spoke.
