Kieera cleared her throat, looking at her 'boyfriend' once again. She couldn't believe she was looking to him for advice. He would probably just take advantage of her and that would be that. He usually did, and clearly she didn't mind that.
Gewls resurfaced. "And when you see him make sure that he doesn't smell. He needs to take more showers now that Effie is back."

"She's crazy," Jack said quietly as he shook his head. He'd have to get used to having that energy around, this constantly moving force that seemed to wreck havoc on everything she touched, but everyone around her almost seemed to enjoy the trouble she caused as long as it wasn't too drastic. "Do we even know anything about her besides the fact she's crazy?" he asked their group, his eyes falling on Gewls as she resurfaced again. He almost forgot that he'd started a conversation when he got lost in those gorgeous eyes until Bex gave him an answer.
"I know plenty about her," Bex said with a defensive frown, and Ace waved her off.
"You don't count. You've known her the longest," he said with a snicker before looking back at Kieera with a light nod and smile. He didn't want her to have to feel obligated to ask for permission, but he did like that she sought her approval like she desired his approval and respect as if she didn't already have that.

Gewls bit on her lip. Hmm, link didn't smell like ass. And that in itself was a bonus. She waved to her boyfriend who looked awfully lonely. Well, he wasn't alone. But she wished that he was. He'll, she wished that they were both locked up in her room once again. But how bad would it be if someone walked in on them?
Zander couldn't help but agree wih Jack. He had only known Effie this year and thought she was this little terror but without her, Bex wouldn't have come along and he loved his Bex. So there you had it, good things always happened from crazy people. Plus, Bex had schizophrenia and he obviously loved it.
(Sorry I lost my mojo with detail!)

"She's secretive," Bex said simply with a shrug; that was a given, really. But it almost ran deeper than that, like she kept everything so bottled up that no one could ever describe her to a stranger.
Ace just sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. He was getting rather tired of the fact that Effie seemed to be all they ever talked about. He cared about her as a friend of course, but she always seemed to be their main focus. "What's up with Link? I thought he'd be glued by Effie's side since she's back and I haven't seen him all day," he asked curiously, and Bex couldn't give an answer because Ace had a point.
(Nah it's okay! I understand :))

Zander nodded in agreement to what Bex had said, looking right at Ace. "Oh, so you know how you two decided to ditch classes today? Well, I found out-before I was broken out of class- that they are splitting up the students body into teams that will be going against each other. And winners get to to on the the next mission outside of school. Of course it will be more selective.…" they weren't suppose to get warnings of this. But tomorrow everyone would be split up and given different people to work with. Which he wasn't super nervous about.

Bex frowned at the thought of another mission. Effie had just returned, after disappearing on a failed mission, she might add, and now they were already planning something else? She couldn't imagine what it would be to be willing to risk the safety of their student body. What if Effie still wasn't safe? What if she'd escaped her captors, and they hadn't actually set her free, and she couldn't remember that, so she was still in danger? What if it wasn't about Effie anymore? What if the entire school was at risk for whoever was out there? The more she thought about it, the angrier she got at the idea of having to leave the safety of the school with adults who knew what they were doing, not just teenagers who were still in training.
"Do you know what it's about?" Jack asked Zander with a raised brow, imagining the possibilities of where they might send them next. He hoped it was somewhere out of state, maybe even out of the country. He hadn't traveled nearly as much as he wanted to, so he would take whatever opportunity he could.
(My posts might be a little more rare up until next Thursday. I've got lots of studying to do for my math final so I don't have to pay for this course :/ ugh college)

Kieera shook her head. "I honestly couldn't tell you. Gewls and Bex are more… up that ally." she knew that those two were in love just by watching them. She didn't feel that way about Ace. She wasn't sure what she felt about Ace at this point. They had just decided to be in an exclusive relationship. "But, I'd assume it's like breathing or something. Like, you can't live without that one person. And every time you see them your heart leaps out of your chest. You only want to be with them no matter what they do. That person is your best friend and your soulmate. The one person who understands you more than you understand yourself." She tilted her head. "That's what I feel like true love would be."
"It's going to be on campus. That's what they are thinking though… I'm not quite sure at what exactly is going to happen but whatever the case, I'm not too stressed about it." Zander glanced at Bex, who just so happened to be wearing this look of terror. And as her boyfriend, it was his sole job to make sure she wasn't stressing about that stuf. "It will be okay."

Once they reached his dorm, Effie gave a steady, loud pound on the door. She didn't want to give it away that it was her again because she had a feeling that he wouldn't even open the door if he heard her voice, though the knock kind of gave it away.
Bex looked up at Zander, breathing a sigh of relief when she heard it was just on campus. That meant they weren't in any really danger; it was just a simple test in the safe boundaries behind the grey stone walls. "I wonder what they're having us do this time." She recalled their last mission at the school where they all paired up and had to go on a scavenger hunt. Effie won, Franky got a broken nose, and that was where everything seemed to take off for their little group.
(Aww Whit why is your heart breaking?)

Kieera looked at Effie, but realized she wasn't going to say much after that, and sighed. "It's Kieera!" She didn't mention Effie, but she was going to in a minute in hopes that he would finally come out and about.
"Yeah, I don't I so. I don't even think they are sure as to what we are going to do." He said, letting to of Bex so that he could swim around. He watched Gewls and Ace for a moment, then looked up at Jack. This would get better when link arrived.

Franky was still wandering around the halls after the incident with Link and Effie, too ashamed and wallowing around in self pity to want to go back to class, and with the day coming to an end she decided it really wasn't worth it. She found herself back at Demitri's dorm, making a face at the chemical smell that made the whole hallway smell funny before she knocked lightly on the door. "Demitri?" she called in quietly, briefly wondering why she was even her. When had she gotten so close to him that her subconscious decided for her that he was the best person to talk to in this situation?
(Is it okay if I pause them till Effie, Kieera and Link get back?)

Just kidding! That's totally fine! :) )
Link raised his eyebrow as he stood to his feet, straightening out the black t-shirt he was wearing. Okay? Why was Kieera of all people in the world, here at his dorm? Sure he didn't understand, but he made his way over to the door and opened it. Only to find Kieera and Effie. He rolled his eyes. "Was this some deploy of something?" His voice was harsh, which is what surprised Kieera.
"We just… wanted to see if you were coming to the pond or not?" She asked carefully. She didn't want to piss him off if he was in a bad mood, which appeared to be the case.
Demitri had tried to get the smell out of his room, but unfortunately. It wasn't happening and he was furious about it. So he decided to devise a plan to get back asshole Ace and his side kick, douche bag Zander. He heard the soft knock on his door. "Come on in, the doors unlocked." He didn't know who it was, but he didn't care. He could kill whomever it was.
(Hope it's alright that I'm adding these too…)
Raegan tapped on Caesars door softly. She wondered if he was as busy as she had been all day and hearing about the balloon bombs, she had to do crowd control and clear things out. She was just worried abot Caesar though. For no apparent reason, except he was the only one left that she cared about. If anything happened to him, she would seriously did a little.

Effie raised the bottle up, too close to his face before letting out a drunken giggle. "I've got booze. Group's not whole without you, Lincoln. Unless you're busy with something again," she said slowly, standing on her toes to peer over his shoulder, trying to see if Franky had "found" her way back into his bed. She wasn't quite sure why she hadn't told Kieera yet; she felt like she was willing to, but maybe there was something subconscious stopping her from relaying that information to her. "I mean, it's pretty nasty, but it's all I've got. Somebody must have broken into my stash while I was dead for two months." She flashed another smile, as if the words didn't hurt her.
Franky let herself in, and before the door was completely closed, she started ranting and pacing. "Oh my God, Demitrious, I'm the most horrible person to ever walk the earth and I haven't figure it out until now; I mean, I can't believe how much of a pretentious asshole I got away with being, and - oh my God, I don't even know how to build up to this." She stopped speaking in run-on sentences with a huff, landing herself right in front of Demitri with her hands on her hips. She didn't have the courage to look him in the eyes as she quickly rushed out, "I ran into Lincoln, things escalated rather quickly, didn't get the chance to tell him I was pregnant, ended up in his bed, and Effie walked in on us seconds away from being totally naked." She chewed on her lip, hesitantly meeting his eyes like he might explode when she did.
"C'mon in, babe," Caesar called from his desk in the art room. His feet were still rested up on his desk, his file folder still in his lap. He'd recognize her knock anywhere; he'd spent so much time around her, and with an eidetic memory, he couldn't really forget anything. Especially when it came to Rae. "Just watch your step. HAZMAT still hasn't come to clean up Ace's little... experiment." He laughed lightly; he remembered the days of high school, being just like Ace. Causing trouble at a spy school was a million times more fulfilling than at a normal school.

Link stared at the bottle in her hand. He sure hadn't gotten into her stash, but if he did, he was positive that things would have been different. He would have been drunk everyday, and he would have gone to class too. It sucked that he couldn't even function properly whole Effie was gone, but even now, things has been rather difficult when it came to the circumstances they were all in. "Okay, I'll come." He said quickly. A chance to get drunk now, sounded amazing.
Kieera gave him a small smile. "We've missed you Lincoln."
Demitrious was surprised at the urgency in her voice and the way she was moving back and forth, had him rather nervous. He didn't know what she was even talking about until the very end. Why was Effie over there? Why did it matter? Why did Demitri feel angry towards link? Hadn't Demitri slept with Effie? It shouldn't have mattered. "What's going on? Are you okay?" Just so happened to be the questions he asked as he stood up to his feet, completely worried.
Raegan pushed herself into the room, playing with the hem of her shirt rather nervously. "That kid is a little shit." She mumbled, sitting on the edge of his desk. Her best friend was certainly a shit of his own time but she was so happy to see him alive and well, doing things he normally did in his spare time. When ragean wasn't freaking out about him? Sometimes things happened and she wasn't as heartless as she made herself out to be. She did want to be scary though.

"I'm fine," Franky said, shaking her head at his question. Physically, she was okay. Mentally, she felt like she was about to snap. "I mean, you should have seen the way that girl looked at me, Demitri!" she practically shouted. "She looked like she wanted to pounce me and break every bone in my body and then just walked away. Effie's never done that!" She shook her head once more, continuing to pace. "I've never felt so bad about upsetting her in my entire life. I mean, I didn't know she even felt something towards Lincoln, which he is pathetically oblivious to, and now I just ruined whatever they could have had and -" She stopped again, putting her hands in her hair. She couldn't get her mind to stop racing. "I can't believe myself. I'm actually caring about this little twat that's broken my nose at least twice." She looked up at him with a dry smirk. "I've gone absolutely mad."
Caesar smiled as he watched her walk over. Just because there wasn't anything romantic going on between them didn't mean he couldn't admire how absolutely stunning she was, which he did frequently. "Yeah, but so am I. And you love me," he said with a boyish grin and gave her a wink before looking back down at his papers. "How'd the session go with Miss Elizabeth?" he asked in a very regal, mock-British voice before smirking. He had a feeling that Rae and her were either going to be the best of friends or horrible enemies, and he was rather excited to see how it turned out.

Lincoln on the other hand, looked-no-stared hard at the ground as he walked, trying not to lay any attention to the other woman. Effie wasn't someone he wanted anymore. At least, he was telling himself that as he over his thoughts elsewhere. "Well, we are partying?" He asked to which Kieera responded with a nod.
Demitri couldn't help th smile on his face. "Trust me, you were already mad, this, just helped it out a little bit more." He rolled his eyes though. Lincoln. Link pissed him off and if Effie ever fell into Demitrious's lap again, which she was bound too, he wouldn't let her to. "Don't worry about it. Nothing is going to happen between the two of them. She doesn't like him that way."
"I will always love you." Rae replied, feeling a smile grow on her lips. She really would. No matter what he could ever do, she would always love him to death. "Well, she had a flashback." She started, smoothing out her skirt, her eyes wondering to her black shoes. "I'm curious about what is going on in her brain. Stuff like this usually doeant amaze me. And I… Caesar, i feel so bad and I don't know why." She gave him this sad look.

Franky stared at him for a few seconds, totally bewildered before she said, "You're a bloody idiot, Demitrious." She laughed shortly, running her hands through her strawberry blonde curls. "She's in love with him," she stated rather matter-of-fact-ly. "God, you boys are all the same," she muttered as she sat down on his bed, placing her hands in her lap. She needed to stop moving; she was annoying herself. "She's also got some deep, buried emotions for you, I'm sure, but we won't go there right now." She waved her hand off. There wasn't a lot she was extremely good at; she was, however, an expert on other girls. Even a girl as secretive and bottled up as Effie, she knew a few things about, which she normally would have used as blackmail if she didn't feel so wretchedly guilty.
"That's called guilt, my love," Caesar stated as he pushed himself to his feet, walking across the art room to the bookshelf. His fingers grazed over the dusty spines of the books that hadn't been touched in ages while he spoke. "It's all part of our job. Don't dwell on it too much or it'll tear you apart." He flashed her a signature smile before his fingers landed on the book he wanted and he moved to sit back down in his desk. "She tell you what she saw in her flashback?" he asked quietly. That's what the agency was after, of course. None of them had any clue as to what her mind withheld, but whatever it was, it was worth risking an already unstable girl's sanity over, which he was highly opposed to, even if it had been someone as mentally strong as one of her other friends, like Rebecca or Lennox.

"What does that mean, Effie?" Kieera asked curiously, her dark eyes gliding over the boy next to her. What did Franky have anything to do with anything?
Demitrious rolled his eyes at her. She seemed to always be insulting him. But he didn't mind. He liked the way she talk to him sometimes. "I'm not an idiot. She doesn't love Lincoln. Why would she? Besides, she has been gone for a while and you should… divert Link away from her." He said, even though he was having split emotions. He cared abot what happened to Franky and he cared about what happened to Effie. Oh the problems of having a heart. This is what his father had tried to stop.
Raegan shifted slightly on his desk. what was he even doing? "We were smoking together." She ran a hand through her hair. So, sometimes she did stupid things. Like broke school rules, but she was a teacher. "And she just… agony crossed her face, Caesar, I didn't even think I could pull her out of those memories." She was usually pretty tough, but for some reason she felt like she couldn't have surivive. She wanted him to hug her or kiss her forehead and be reassuring. He was oh so good at being reassuring.

Franky rolled her eyes. "She may not love him, but she feels something for him. As cold and bitter and mean and secretive as she is, I know she has some sort of what's left of a heart that hasn't been ripped out of her chest by the people we work for." She reached over and grabbed one of his pillowed resting it under her chin as she pondered what he said. She raised a freckled brow up at him as she asked, "Is there some elaborate plan you've just thought of that involves putting a wedge between her and Link and me being said wedge?"
Caesar quickly recognized the shift in her tone, and without a second glance at her worried expression he dropped his glasses on his desk and wrapped his arms around her in a slow but tight hug. He rubbed her hair gently, resting his chin on the top of her head. "It's a horrible thing they did to her, but she made it out alive," he whispered, focusing on pleasant thoughts that would keep her pushing through this obvious guilt that seemed to be overwhelming her. "And now she needs you to be her rock. Don't focus on the memories the CIA needs from her; try to help her through this process of remembering everything that happened to her." He'd seen the torture victims of the agency they worked for - most of them just dead bodies - and he knew that whatever Effie went through wasn't just physical; they twisted her mind until it snapped and then glued it together before sending her on her way. "Don't blame yourself for this, my love. It's all part of our job."

Kieera went silent. Effie was crying again… and now Link was… what was even happening.
Demitrious licked his lips, slowly nodding his head. He didn't have a plan just yet. But he was thinking that Franky could help him a ton. He liked her though, and he didn't want to push her away. Franky couldn't get hurt. If he could keep her safe than it would be much better. "You just stay on Lincoln's good side. Alright? Make sure they aren't getting reacquainted." He gave her a mischvious smile.
Raegan leaned into her best friend, squeezing him tightly. She never wanted to let to. He was the best comforter she knew. Even when it came to her fiancé. Her dead fiancé. "When did I turn into such a boob?" She whispered into his shoulder. They had to be more nonchalant about their interactions with each other when it came to the school and the students and even the bad guys. The CIA had sent them in as partners and what not. But Raegan needed to remember to be a hard rock so that way things didn't fall through.

Effie shook her head, sniffling as she ran her free hand through her messy hair. She was sure she looked absolutely dreadful. "No, I don't think you get it, Lincoln! It would be wrong to have me catch you sleeping with someone one the day I return for being presumably dead for two months. It was over the fucking line for me to catch you in bed with the future mother of my best friend's boyfriend's child!" That sentence had her reeling, but she wasn't about to stop. She was on a roll. "I'm sorry I suck at this whole emotions thing; I get that I'm a wretched human being who has no purpose on this goddamn planet, but what I'm really sorry for is thinking that, for a split second, my existence might actually mean something to you." She shook her head again, wiping her tear stained cheeks. "I've never been so upset to be so wrong in my life, Lincoln!" She finally turned her eyes to Kieera as she swallowed hard, realizing she'd almost forgotten her friend was there. "What's wrong with me?" she muttered to her, new hot tears spilling down her face as she clutched what was left of her rib cage.
Franky rested her head in the palm of her hand, looking at her Russian partner in crime with very suspicious green eyes. "I can't tell what this is about," she finally admitted aloud, deciding she'd rather speak her mind than keep whatever it was she was feeling all bottled up. "Do you still have feelings for Effie? Or is this about something else?" She couldn't quite pinpoint what exactly was going on with him. She knew he at least used to have a thing about Effie, but the topic of her was quickly dropped after he spent a few weeks wallowing in guilt about being the one who helped kidnap her the day after he slept with her. Yet something in his eyes sparked curiosity in her that she couldn't figure out. She was also still feeling terribly guilty herself; Effie deserved a break, after all. They'd put her through so much torture over the past two months and to be messing with Link like this... it just didn't sit right in her stomach, despite how much she really didn't like that pushy, short-tempered girl.
"Oh, you've always been that way," Caesar teased with a light laugh as he gave her one more squeeze before he pulled away, planting a light kiss on the top of her head before he sat back down in his chair. "You'll figure out a way to handle all of this, babe. You always do." He gave her a wink and a half-smile. He wasn't worried that she wouldn't get the job done; her work ethic had never been a concern. He was worried that she wouldn't make it out of this alive ridden with so much guilt and other emotions that were tacked on in fine print when they signed up for the job.
(Also I am in love with Caesar's and Raegan's relationship)

P.s. Me too. I was thinking about them this morning. I want something romantic but at the same time, I don't. And it's hard. I want them to be madly in love with each other! Then another part of me doesn't want something like that to happen because they already do love each other. And I'm not exactly sure how… ya know?)
Link cleared his throat, wishing to add onto what she was saying. And when she finally mentioned that it was in fact Franky, and that Franky was pregnant. How was he suppose to know? She thought that maybe he could read minds of something and it seemed to set him off. He rolled his eyes at her, despite the crying. Which did have major effect on what was happening. He gave her this serious look when he replied. "I didn't know she was pregnant, and I don't even know why anything even happened with her. I honestly can't figure out why it's hurting you so much. I know I didn't have a freak out like this when you were out fucking Demitrious. But I don't know if you remember that, because you were so fucking screwed up on your precious alcohol and drugs! I wasn't blind Effie. I'm not blind. I could we exactly how much you wanted him to touch you and you never looked at me that way!"
Kieera felt her eyes widen. Oh my god. They were fighting. Right in front of her like legit couples do. And they weren't going at it softly. They see going at if with fire and rage and passion behind it. "It's okay Effie…" she tried in attempt to soothe her. She didn't feel like she was doing a good job.
"I won't lie to you Franky, i do have feelings for her. But even more so, I want to keep them as far apart as possible. So that way he won't take away the memory block that was out on her. It's there for a reason. You and link start dating. Despite the baby bump you'll grow. He's sweet because he has siblings so he will want to help with the baby. Pretend to be Effie's friend and feel remorse for everything." Demitrious was a Genius. He felt like one anyways. And after he could watch link cry. He would sit and laugh.
"You give some shitty advice." Raegan said as she watched him to back to sitting down. But she didn't move much off of his desk after that. Why was this guy her best friend in the world? Well, despite his advice, he was a brilliant man and she loved that she got to spend time with him. He had also been close to Riley. The fiancé she lost not too long ago. They used to do everything together. Caesar was just all around a good guy. She wouldn't have given special time to just anyone. "Well, thank you anyways, I love your face."

I was thinking about that too! I'm not sure if I want to ruin what they have or see if they could be something greater and ahh! I love writing with you; this is so much fun)
"Are you even listening to a single word I'm saying, Lincoln?!" Effie shouted viciously, her voice practically seething with venom. She wouldn't be surprised if one of the teachers came running out to punish them, but that wasn't a concern, and it never had been for her. She didn't fee punishments; nobody ever punished the orphan, which she exploited fearlessly. "I'm standing here, drunk off my ass, pouring my heart out to you and you're lecturing me about sleeping with Demitri?" She realized that he might not actually care what she thought anymore; two months ago she should have opened herself up and examined what she really felt instead of covering it up with meaningless sex. But now it was like he wanted to make her feel guilty for everything she'd done. She looked back at Kieera once more, her eyes silently begging the girl to give her an escape. She couldn't do this anymore. She felt like she might pass out with the amount of rage and sadness welling up inside her, and she wasn't quite sure what else she could say to get inside Link's thick skull.
Franky frowned slightly as she looked at the ground before she nodded. Everything he said was right, after all. Link had a natural nurturing instinct since he grew up with so many family members, and he would probably be a better shoulder to cry on than Zander since he was currently busy with Bex. "You're right," she said with a sigh, pushing herself to her feet. "Just say something that will make me stop feeling guilty for stabbing Effie in the back like this," she pleaded. Effie would have gladly literally stabbed her in the back two months ago and made it look like the perfect accident, but right now she had no idea who this Effie was anymore, and she couldn't get rid of the hundred pound weight sinking in her stomach.
"What are you talking about? I give wonderful advice," Caesar said with another laugh, reaching in the drawer beside him to grab two things out of it: a pack of her favorite brand of cigarettes, and his favorite type of candy bar. "I love you too, darling," he said back with a smile as he handed her the pack of smokes. It was a wretched habit that he wished he could break for her, but he also knew the amount of stress she always put upon her shoulders, and trying to get her to quit smoking would be like writing a suicide note. She was totally capable of snapping his neck, and she totally would if she were forced to quit smoking at a time like this.

Maybe they should try it all out after the mission? I think they would be a cute couple. Or we can add new characters to be their like… bf or gf. It's always fun adding new characters.
And I love writing with you. Makes things fun.)
"Well excuse me Effie, I'm sorry I confused your 'spilling your heart out to me' with the fact that you're yelling at me because I almost slept with Franky!" Link was on the edge and at any moment he was about to jump off and make another mistake. By telling her even more cruel things. But because Kieera was there, and because he didn't really feel like breaking an already broken girl ten times more than what he had already done. He stopped himself. He took a step back from the situation and gave her a once over, without actually stepping away from her. "I'm done fighting. It was in the past and I refuse to live there anymore." He knew it was a bad idea to leave his room with these two girls.
He turned to Kieera and gave her this look. "I'm not coming. And you can tell the group what happened or you can lie. But I can't hang out with you guys right now. I can't be around her right now." He pointed to Effie, before taking off in the opposite route they were going.
Kieera couldn't even blink. She just stepped forward and hugged Effie. This was the hardest part of whatever was going on. Link had been a bandage for Effie and now, he was acting like this and even more so… sleeping. With Franky! She didn't want to say anything to anyone. This was purely between her and Effie. It was their little secret and she would be damned if she left anyone else find out what had happened right here. She felt horrible and sad about it because obviously, Effie did like Lincoln in some way, but he was too stupid and blind to even figure that out on his own. "He isn't worth tears honey. You have plenty of people who love you and you really don't need someone who isn't even going to stick around for you." Great words of advice. Too had she sucked at advice.
Demitrious stood up as well; giving the pregnant girl a one over. "It's a mission Franky, and Effie won't get hurt. We just need to get in and make sure nothing happens between those two. Link will turn Effie against us and she knows too many of our secrets. You know I'm right. So you need to help protect us. And then our bosses will be pleased with your actions." He knew that deep down this was all about him and making sure Link didn't get to Effie. This wasn't for the mission. This was for him so he could destroy someone in the process. He gave Franky a smile, his dark eyes meeting hers. He only nodded his head after that. "/so now… we split up:"
Raegan looked down at the pack of smokes, before taking them from him. "I have a whole pack in my desk, but thank you." It always seemed to surprise her when he appeared with some of her favorite cigarettes. And even if he hated it so badly, he always bought her some. He just took care of her and it meant the world to her. "Sometimes I could totally kiss you." She wiggled her eyebrows at him like a weirdo. Nobody would ever understand their relationship. She wasn't even sure if she understood it. "So, what are your plans for dinner tonight? Because I'm thinking I wanna take you out."

Effie didn't hesitate to wrap her arms around Kieera, willingly accepting the hug she so desperately needed. She could feel her whole, tiny body shaking deep within her bones as she tried to control the sobs. She couldn't figure out what the hell was wrong with her, why she was acting like this right now. And whatever the reason, she wanted it to stop. She wanted to be the old Effie that everyone loved, not this emotional rollercoaster. "I'm sorry," she finally said to Kieera, pulling away slightly to rub her eyes with the long, already tear-stained sleeves of her sweater. "I'm sorry I put you in the middle of that. I didn't mean to." She was mostly sorry that she was currently witnessing this wreck of emotions that was happening, but she couldn't really control it right now. She wasn't quite sure if she believed what she said, that there were plenty of people loved her. It sure as hell didn't feel that way.
Franky nodded once more, tucking the loose strands of her hair behind her ears with a sigh. She was glad she'd come to talk to him; though she was still slightly concerned about the mental state of Effie, she trusted Demitri to at least make the situation a little better until she got over this guilt. "Alright," she said finally with a nod before kissing him briefly on his cheek. "I'll see you around," she said as she picked up her purse and head to the door. "Oh, and thank you," she said as she stopped, flashing a quick smile before she opened the door and headed out. She was grateful that he was willing to help her so much since nobody else was, especially at a time like this.
Caesar let out a loud laugh before he said, "You can't afford me!" He winked at her again before shaking his head and laughing. "As long as you're taking me out to dinner, my schedule is cleared." He glanced at the cigarettes in her hand. He always seemed to just pick up a pack for her whenever he went out to buy his beloved candy, just in case. He was in the habit of caring for her, which he honestly loved being that for her. She deserved it.
