"Awkward threesome?" Effie suggested with a half smile, and Bex would have been tempted to hit her if it hadn't been for earlier.
Instead, an awkward snort-laugh escaped her lips and she pointed a threatening finger at Effie. "Please don't put thoughts like that into my head. I don't want to close my eyes and just have the image of our three friends..." She shuddered as she reached the door to their dorm, and Effie looked back at Kieera with a smile.
"Oh, please," she said to Bex with a smirk. "Because you haven't had a-" She stopped short once she stepped into the dorm, quickly realizing that, technically, she didn't live here anymore. Franky did. Her stuff was gone, probably in the basement or something, and someone was going to have to get kicked out. Effie definitely wasn't going to let it be her.
Franky, who was getting ready to head to her next class, startled when she heard the door open, but let out a light sigh. "I'm leaving, don't worry," she explained quickly, feeling the need to considering Effie's death glare. "And, Effie, if you want we can meet with Headmistress to see when we can switch the room arrangements around again-"
Effie sneered before she could even finish her sentence. "Since when have you ever cared about the rules, Franky?" she asked sarcastically, letting out a long sigh. All the fighting was starting to take a toll on her, and she was wondering if it would just be a better option to give it up and stick to being a snarky bitch then put so much energy into hating her.
Ace shook his head quickly, snapping out of whatever daydream he was lost in as he watched Kieera walk away and looked over at Zander. "Um," he stuttered, brow furrowing as he tried to remember what he had asked. He looked down at the yellow balloon in his hands before he realized he needed to get rid of this. "Any idea where I can throw this that'll make for a fun story?" he asked, holding up the balloon ever so carefully. He didn't want it going off in his hands.
"Link," Jack groaned as he spun to look at their friend with a frown. "We haven't seen you since Effie left, and now that she's back, you still want to disappear?" The whole situation made little sense to him; he almost expected him to be magically cured, that Effie's presence would bring him back from the dead. But it looked like it almost made it worse. Effie was severely underweight and covered in battle scars, and Link was moping around like a silent, very pissed off zombie. He simply couldn't figure it out. Maybe he finally got over her and he didn't feel the same about her? Who knew.

She moved around the crowd of women, making beeline to her dresser so that she could pull out her bikini. Which was funny, because she wouldn't have owned one prior to this year. But she felt sexy enough to actually wear it. "We need to hurry up and get out to the guys."
"Wish I could help but I seriously have no clue where you could toss that." Zander leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest as he started blankly at the wall. He had to think about a good spot because he liked watching things blow up and it was super funny. "Demitrious room." He said completely and utterly serious. He still couldn't be super friendly with they guy. Even if he was sleeping with Effie rather than Franky. Whatever. He just hated that he was using Effie and Effie was too vulnerable to the fact of the Russian. She was almost blind when it came to link.
Gewls put her hand on Jack's shoulder. "Whatever Link." She said with a note of annoyance. What a coward. He wouldn't even do anything to help out. Like he was seriously going to be a jackass and Effie had just walked through the door not even a day ago. It didn't make any sense in her head why he was upset but he ad a great reason why. At least he made it point to say that he had a logical reason.
(I'm sorry it's all short and stuff. Yours have been amazing. It's just hard on my phone.)

Effie suddenly shook her head as she consciously realized what was going on. They were all going to get into bikinis and try to go swim with all of their friends, and she was suddenly very not okay with that. "I can't go," she said quickly, looking over at Bex with wide eyes.
"What?" Bex asked quickly, brow furrowing in confusion.
Effie shook her head again just as Franky silently excused herself from the room, deciding she would rather sit in class than get the awkward silent treatment from all of them and headed towards her class. "Bex, please don't make me get into a bikini," she pleaded, and for the first time since she woke up she felt tears well up in her eyes. "Please. I don't want to see what these people have done to me. I don't think I could handle that." She glanced over at Kieera, feeling suddenly self conscious for breaking down in front of them. She felt her hands start to shake with the familiar feeling of an anxiety attack.
Bex suddenly felt totally heartbroken. Effie never cried; she could count on her fingers the amount of time she'd seen the girl in tears, and this made seven. "Effie, darling, what's gotten into you?" She missed her best friend; the girl that showed up in the dining hall wasn't Effie. Effie was probably still locked in a cellar somewhere, but this girl that came back... She was different. And she didn't like it.
Ace flashed a quick smile. "You're brilliant," he said excitedly before he started towards the stairs. Demitri still wasn't his favorite person; the same could be said for everyone else except Effie. They apparently got along a little too well. Still, that wasn't going to stop him from throwing a flour-filled exploding balloon into his room. So once they reached the door, Ace looked back at Zander. "Get ready to run," he whispered, just in case he might actually be in there. He counted down from three in his head, and once he reached one, he simultaneously shook the balloon up and opened the door, rolling it across the floor and closing the door back up before he started running back down the hall.
Jack felt Gewls's hand on his shoulder and considered that his cue to let the guy do his own thing. So he simply sighed but let him walk away, letting him go do... whatever it was he wanted to go do. Jack headed towards one of the computers, sitting down at it. "I have no idea what I'm doing, Princess," he said, terrified to even touch the keyboard as if he was scared that would leave finger prints to help the school track down who hacked into a student file. "This is your area of expertise." He patted the chair beside him, moving to let her take the lead.

It was… weird. But Kieera completely understood where she was coming from. She set down the swimming suit and carefully made her way over to Effie. She wouldn't want to see what someone did to her body if she had forgotten. "It sounds stupid, but we don't have to wear bikinis. And this is coming from me… I have self inflicted scars all over my body that I am completely embarrassed about. Because that girl isn't me anymore. She was sad and lonely." Wow, she went and made everything about her when this other girl was crying because she had disappeared for a little while. She went back over to her dresser, grabbing her classic one piece.
Demitri strolled down the hallway, watching as Ace and Zander came running towards him. "What are you two kids up too?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. He should have been in class but he felt so sick at that moment he needed to go. He was also getting a phone call from someone else about what had happened to Effie. Because he has contacted his bosses and wanted to have answered. They would probably kill him for it. But hey, he liked her and she didn't deserve to be hurt.
Gewls rolled her eyes as she fell down next to him. "So we are looking up Raegan's files to see if she has posted anything online about Effie and their consultations. Like earlier this year when I had to go talk to someone about my mom they sent it through and email and that's how I was able to find that they had altered what I had said about her." She was so glad to know that her teacher had been fired soon after that. It made her feel like she could have potentially been apart of it.

Bex glanced back at Kieera, trying to figure out how to handle her own best friend, the girl that was like a sister to her. Effie had her own self harm scars that came after her parents had died, which she'd never been afraid to show to anyone. And now she realized that Effie was covered neck to toe in layers. Long sleeve shirt, sweater, skirt, black tights and boots. She hadn't realized there was any purpose to the ensemble until now.
Ace let out a quick breath as he stopped dead in his tracks in front of Demitri. "Going to get the girls," he covered up quickly, knowing Zander was probably going to beat him up for telling him this, but he couldn't think of any good lies that would keep Demitri out of his room at least until they were long gone. "We were actually going out to the pond. You coming?" He remained as casual as he could, pretending it was just a normal day where balloon bombs weren't going off in people's dorms.
Jack just nodded slowly, absorbing what he said and keeping his mouth shut. There wasn't much he could contribute; his knowledge of anything electronic went as far as there Computer and Cell Phone Hacking 101 class that was a requirement their sophomore year. He kicked his feet up on the desk beside her, leaning back in his chair with his hands behind his head.

Ps. I am so sorry! I know I should be posting. Promise me you'll be on all night?$

She shut the door behind her trying to think of where she could go to change or something. Like it mattered now though. She didn't feel happy anymore. But it wasn't about her. It was about Effie. And how to fix it. If any of them could.
Demitri shook his head. "Actually not today. Though the offer is super thoughtful. I have to make sure that Franky gets into the nurse later." They wouldn't understand he was her partner and he was in charge of makin sure she turned out okay.
Zander rolled his eyes. "You have fun with that."
"Have you forgotten you're the sole reason she is even going to the doctor anyhow. Keep your penis in your pants." Demitri snapped. Zander pissed him off and he wasn't going to stick around for Franky or Bex. He was a douchebag.
"I could say the same exact thing too. Stay away from Franky and Effie." Whoa? Did he just say that? Stay away from Franky?
"Should we just wait? Or…. Do you wanna try again tonight. I don't want them to leave without us," Gewls would rather just wait until later unless they got busy but she would be up all night. She couldn't help but love computers. They made her so dang happy. When she could work her magic and find out crazy information. She was definitely nosey and on normal high school this could have been a problem. Her step mome had trained her amazingly though. Everything was just falling into place and she just loved her job. "I mean… we can do a lot tonight. Find out info. Hide away on a room.… what if…" she suddenly got this idea. It seemed so random.

Ten minutes later, Bex finally emerged from their room alone and in a cover up over her swimsuit. She felt guilty and anxious to leave Effie alone - last time she was this bad, she ended up in the hospital for an entirely different reason - but she had confidence in her friend, and she didn't want to abandon her others. "Sorry about that," Bex murmured to Kieera after she shut the door behind her, forcing an apologetic smile across her stiff lips. "She's always had an anxiety problem." She waved it off, like it was no big deal. It was, of course, but she didn't want to worry about it, and she didn't want Kieera to worry about it. "She said she'll meet us down later, but I doubt she'll be swimming with us." She hung onto that promise, that Effie would be fine in a few minutes once she collected her thoughts and picked up her pieces and taped them back together enough so she could start reconnecting with the people that hadn't seen her for two months.
Ace gave Zander a shocked look before quickly turning to Demitri. He couldn't believe both of them seemed so quick to defend Franky. Effie, he could understand. Effie was a mutual friend and soft spot among all of them. But Franky? She seemed to be the one girl they could all agree on disliking at the least. He grabbed Zan's arm firmly. "C'mon man, the girls are waiting," he said quietly and quickly, really not wanting to break up a fight between them. They were both bigger and stronger than he was; Ace was fast. He could run. Both of them looked like they started lifting weights before they hit puberty.
"What if what?" Jack said excitedly, hating that she just left the sentence like that. He hated cliff hangers. He pondered the options she had given him originally; curfew stated they weren't allowed to be in each other's dorms after midnight, but like any of them ever obeyed any of the rules anyway. So he was totally okay with crashing in her dorm for the night while they dug into the files on Effie and Raegan and whatever else they were hiding. It was their best friend and teacher; they deserved to know. Plus, it would give him some space away from Lincoln since he was currently holding a grudge against him for ditching them for God know's what.

Kieera shook her head. It was really none of her business what had just happened. She needed to keep her mouth shut and push onward through the awkward tension that seemed to leak through her bedroom door. Their dorm room. "She just needs a while. I can only imagine what she's going through…" the worst part was seeing her cry. Kieera didn't think she would be capable of shedding tears. She didn't even remember if Effie has ever cried in front of her but she did today and that's how Kieera knew that what those people did to her was a lot more deeper than skin. They really screwed her up.
Zander blinked quickly before he looked over at Ace. "I didn't mean to say Franky… she is carrying my baby and I don't want anything to happen to that child," he was quick to defend himself. That was for sure the truth. He couldn't have feelings for her ever again. It just wasn't… there anymore.
Demitri scoffed. "Just get out of here and stay away from my room Ace, I don't like that chemical smell." He needed to remember he was an assassin and he didn't take peoples crap. He would kill.
"We should do something dangerous. We should play truth or dare with Effie." Gewls didn't know why she had this sudden urge to just he on the wild side and more so take her boyfriend so they could have a good time together. She wanted to just he with him and she wondered if there would ever come a time where he would want to get some space. She could only think of being super clingy sometimes and having him dislike it.

Bex shook her head. "Not a day goes by that I don't wish she didn't bottle everything up like that," she grumbled with a frown as she started walking. Effie would join them later; she had to remember that. She was relying on that. "Does she seem... different to you?" Bex asked hesitantly as she paced down the stairs. "I mean, more than just the physical stuff and the memory thing. Something's off with her. It doesn't feel like Effie came back." She cursed whoever did this to her friend; they took much more than her memory. They took her peace of mind and comfort and safety and self-assurance that she could handle herself in any situation. And without that... she simply wasn't Effie.
Ace nodded quickly in understanding, realizing that his thoughts had gone in a completely different direction. He was protecting Franky per say; he was protecting his kid. That was totally understandable, and definitely not something he could blame him for.
"Uh, right," Ace said to Demitri slowly and hesitantly. He didn't really see the point in trying to cover it up anymore. It was more than obvious. "Well, we'll just be down by the pond, and if you need anything..." He started backing away slowly. "Well, those chemicals are completely harmless. So I wouldn't worry about anything." He flashed a quick, cocky grin before he practically sprinted down the stairs, taking them three at a time until he reached the foyer and waited for impatiently Zander.
"Right now?" Jack asked with a raised brow, though he didn't oppose. Truth or dare was always fun, and now that Effie was back and they could play it with her, it would be even better. "Or do you mean later tonight? Because I'm down for whatever." He gave her a smile before he moved closer, wrapping his arm around her waist and leaning in to press his lips to her neck. He quickly recalled their little adventure earlier, and he'd never felt more in sync with another person in his life. He loved her dearly.

"I agree completely." Kieera wasn't as close as they were but she knew the other girl held everything in until it literally busted out of the bottle. It would have been nicer had things never happened the way they had. And Bex was even more right. Effie wasn't back. Even though everyone thought she was, she was lost. "I don't understand why anyone would do this… it doesnt make sense to me I'm my head…" she didn't understand the meaning and everything. She felt completely terrified of this stupid job and the place and how things had gone south.
Zander followed after of course not as quickly because he was allowed to take his sweet time and he would do so in a manner that said he was a rotten soul. He reached the bottom of the stairs and looked Ace over. "I need to see Bex. I feel like we need to talk about stuff." He just wanted to get outside and do their thing. It was just being cramped up in then teeny space. Well the school wasn't teeny. He just felt trapped.
"Not at this moment no. Later tonight." Gewls titled her head, accepting his warm lips on her soft flesh. She felt chills wash over her and she didn't mind them one bit. She loved when he kissed her. And when he made her feel like she was a… princess. She curled her fingers in his hair, not even knowing exactly when they had reaching his beautiful little head. "Oh man, I love you." She mumbled.

Bex shook her head though she agreed. "If there's one question I want answered out of all of this, it's why Effie? What has she done? What did she know? Why did they need her?" She shook her head once more, landing at the bottom of the stairwell just in time to hear Ace say, "Well there she is," and point to her. She looked at him first before looking an Zander, eyeing the long hand Ace was pointing at her with.
"Well I do go to school here," Bex said sarcastically as if Ace had forgotten that fact.
He rolled his eyes and looked away from his roommate. "Lover Boy here needs to talk to you." He gestured Bex over to Zander before he started making his way to the doors towards the opposite end of the school where the pond was. "You comin', gorgeous?" he called to Kieera with a cocky grin, walking backwards as he looked at her.
Jack chuckled slightly against her skin, making a trail of light yet long kisses up from the base of her neck to behind her ear. "I love you too, Cinderella," he whispered against her skin, his hands tightening around her waist ever so slightly before he pulled away. He looked at her with excited, wild eyes and a smile to match. "You ready to go meet up with everyone else?" he asked quietly.

Zander followed Ace's gaze to the staircase, his heart beating faster and faster in his chest when he saw the lovely Bex. She made him super happy so he wasn't going to stress. And the fact that she didn't dump his butt for knocking up a girl-by accident- only proved to him that she was in fact the real deal. He could trust her and love her with no worries or stresses in his life.
Kieera on the other hand, said, rather quickly, "I don't understand why." She had to get it out before she was distracted by the guys. Because it wasn't hard when they were around. At least when Ace was. Though it was hard to take her mind of the way Effie's face turned red from crying. "Obviously I am coming." She answered Ace, walking slightly faster to catch up with him. "How are you?"
"Oh that's awful." Gewls hated that he pulled away but they had other plans as despite how she was feeling, she knew their friends would be waiting on them. "Wanna attempt going to my room to change?" She asked. Her bathing suit was waiting patiently in her room for her. And she was super excited to wear it one more time. "Or we can go to yours. But we can also just go our separate ways and meet up with them?"

As soon as Effie was positive that Bex and Kieera were gone, she quickly raced out of her room and bee-lined it straight to Link's dorm, hoping her ruined make-up didn't make her look too pathetic. She stopped once she reached his door, pounding a quick and angry fist on the wood. "Lincoln, I'm sorry I'm a selfish asshole, but I really need to talk to someone," she called through the door, sniffling. She didn't do it on purpose, but hopefully it was helping the cause. "You, Lincoln. I need to talk to you."
Franky froze beneath Link's touch, suddenly feeling horribly guilty and disgusted with herself for allowing things to get this far. She lay on the bed just below him, her shirt off and her skirt halfway down her legs. She looked up at Link with worried, panicked eyes, like they were just about to be caught by the Headmistress.
When she didn't hear an answer, Effie couldn't take it anymore. She turned the nob and let herself in. "Lincoln, please. I don't know who else to go to-" She stopped mid-sentence when she witnessed what she just walked in on. Angry boiled in her blood like someone just lit a fire beneath her, yet the only thing she could get out of her cracked lips was a simple, "Oh."
Bex skipped over to Zander's side, slipping her arm through his like she had two months ago at a certain ball that was absolutely lovely until things went to shit. She lifted herself onto her toes, planting a kiss on his cheek before smiling. "What's up buttercup?" Seeing him easily distracted her from the whole Effie situation and lifted her mood as high as the sky. She'd seen him not ten minutes ago but being by his side again just felt right. "What's on your mind?"
"Well, I just threw that extra balloon into Demitri's room, so I'd say I'm pretty good," Ace told Kieera as he wrapped her arms around her neck, bringing her in for a close, tight hug as he rested his chin on top of her head. He laughed slightly before looking down at her, admiring her gorgeous face. So much had changed from when he first met her; she almost seemed like an entirely different person, yet not. He knew the Kieera that was here with him was there three months ago, buried beneath a shy, insecure girl who was terrified to speak to strangers. Whoever she was, then or now, he liked her. A lot.
Jack sighed lightly as he picked up her hands, squeezing them tightly in his. "I am all yours," he assured her as he looked her in the eyes. She had such beautiful, bright eyes that light up in comparison to her chocolate hair. "Whatever you want, I'll be right behind you. So you decide." He was bad at making decisions anyway, so he was glad that Gewls generally made the decisions in their relationship
Zander seemed to just keep to himself right next to Ace as the girls walked on off. He glanced at Ace. "So, what's up?" He asked curiously. He didn't much care what was going on body if you get you want to test question just make things awkward.he was th type to make things worse than what they really needed to be.
Link glanced between Gewls and Jack. "Hmmm, I don't know. Gewls can to at it. But we need to hurry. I got places to go, people to see and things to do." He was on a mission that didn't much involve hanging out with them and he didn't care if they got offended. It wasn't them.
Gewls raised he eyebrow. "You have to stay!" She was going to fight him on it and she expected Jack to take her side.
