Effie smirked as she shook her head, grabbing one of his pillows from behind her head and throwing it at him. "That could change," she teased with a shrug before quickly changing the subject. She didn't want to make things... awkward. Sure, she was totally okay with sleeping with him. But it would mean more to him, and she knew he didn't deserve a girl as fucked up as she was. "I think I remember a bit of what happened," she said, her voice softer as she looked up at him. She felt too anxious for some reason to be sitting still for long. "I was talking with that new teacher or whatever, and I just got this strange flashback..." She shook her head. It seemed like a dream now, but a few minutes ago it was totally real. "Lincoln, I've got absolutely mad. Even more so than when I left."
"Where'd Zander end up?" Bex finally asked with a furrowed brow as she glanced down the hallway towards the chemistry classroom that looked like it was still smoking, and Ace laughed shortly.
"You would ask that," he said as he grabbed their balloon and stood up, walking over to the other side of the hallway to extend his hand towards her and help her up. "I think he's still in class," he admitted as they headed towards the classroom they were currently supposed to be in.
Bex stood on her toes to peer through the window, whispering, "How do you think we should break him out?" she asked, glancing over her shoulder to Ace who was already pouring something into the balloon. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Something that will hopefully get his attention," he muttered, tying off the balloon once more once he put the beaker back in his pocket. He held it steady and gestured for Bex to open the door, and she did so quietly, just as Ace quickly shook the balloon and rolled it across the floor into the classroom. Almost immediately after the door shut, they both heard a loud pop followed by a few girly screams and all of the students rushing out of the classroom, and they just waited for their friend.

Zander was honestly shocked for about two point five seconds until he realized this was the work of the crazy Ace. He didn't know bed was with him but he was sure glad to be freed of his lame prison. This class he was in was less informative than it was suppose to be and he much rather be in something that didn't half bore him to death. He walked out of the classroom; in the mists of the chaos and gave Ace a big smile. "Thanks man, now you gotta a life getting in trouble from our teachers."

Ace smiled like an idiot at Zander, his hands in his pockets. "I'm not worried," he said as he started walking with the flow of students heading out of the classroom. They couldn't be caught at the scene of the crime, after all.
Bex grabbed Zan's hand and started pulling him along, falling into step beside Ace while she walked. "What exactly did you use to make that go off?" she asked, looking up at the cocky kid beside her.
Ace shrugged. "I don't know exactly," he said convincingly and Bex laughed. Whatever the concoction was, it worked without actually hurting anyone. Well, except the professor's ego. He'd probably be super pissed. "What did we miss, Zander? Anything important?" He looked over at his roommate, and Bex blinked her big blue eyes up at him with a smile.

"I'm not going to lie, that was pretty cool my friend. I wonder if Kieera knows you're this daring." Zander had mellowed out a ton about Ace and Kieera since Bex started dating him. It was a good thing and he felt like Ace could take care of her now. If there was ever going to be anything serious about their relationship. "We were learning the same stuff we've been learning since high school started. Nothing that really involves out career choice. Just same old… boring stuff." He even sounded bored as he spoke. Which is why ace had come at a perfect time to bail him out.

She stood up and started wandering around the room, quickly finding a pack of cigarettes carelessly sitting on Link's bedside table. She lit it hesitantly, worried it might throw her into another flashback, but she took a relieved sigh when she just inhaled lung cancer and not another memory. She started poking through his things, looking through his drawers to see if he had hidden anything interesting that she needed to know about. Effie didn't care much about the obvious smell of cigarette smoke that would hang in the air later, and it's not like Link did. She could smell it from halfway down the hall.
Ace just shrugged at his comment about Kieera. He'd wondered if Kieera knew anything about him, but then he realized she probably knew him better than anyone else. They'd spent too many drunken nights together locked up in her dorm.
"So now that we've busted you out of class, what do you purpose we do?" Bex asked, looking up at the tall boy at her side. She was dying for some entertainment, mainly because this day had been too exciting and their teachers were expecting to behave quietly in class all day when one of the most kickass students at the school reappeared after being presumably dead for two months.

Zander had no idea what they should do for the rest of clastime. "We could get the whole gang together? And maybe just ditch out on the rest of the day of school?" He offered. They could go to the lake and hang out. The girls in wswimming suits and the guys too in swimming suits. Not that the guys sounded attractive to him. It was purely the thought of Bex in a two piece. Her body was so damn perfect.

Ace grinned from ear to ear. Considering the rarity of the sunny day in September in the Rockies, he was 100% willing to go swimming in the lake. He was sure everyone else was dying of boredom too anyways. "I'm gonna need more balloons then," he said seriously, and Bex laughed. Of course that's how he was going to get them all out of class. She could hear the Headmaster's announcement at dinner now. It has come to my attention that a student or group of students are using balloons as shrapnel-free explosives in class. We want to assure everyone these devices are completely harmless, but the perpetrators will not receive extra credit for these... bombs.
"How about we stay away from more... explosives?" Bex suggested, and Ace pouted. "Class is about to get out soon anyways. We'll just wait them out."

Not going to get over liking you."
Zander nodded, unfortunately Bex was right. It didn't meant that it wouldn't have been fun using some weird bomb Ace had made to break everyone out. But whatever. He pulled Bex to him, kissing her quickly. "That's no fun at all and look. Ace is sad you won't let him." He pointed to the pouty boy.

Bex looked at Ace who, at this point, was starting to make whiny puppy dog noises, before she rolled her eyes. "Fine," she muttered and Ace's pout turned into an excited grin in the blink of an eye. "But if you get caught, we don't know each other." He laughed shortly before running off back to the chemistry labs, and Bex just shook her head and looked up at Zander. "He's like a middle schooler," she muttered with a laugh. "He's crazy."

Zander stopped in front of Bex. "You're telling me. And my sister keeps hooking up with that." He crossed his arms over his chest. "So we have to break out. Jack, Gewls and Kieera than we go after. Link. Oh and let's not forget that Effie is around so she definitely is on the list too."

"Found her," Bex grumbled to Zander the minute she smelt the smoke. She spun around quickly, and there she was, walking down the hall with a cigarette between her lips without a care in the world. "Are you trying to get expelled?" Bex practically shouted as she stomped over to her, immediately pulling the wretched thing out of her mouth. "What the hell, Effie?" She frowned at her best friend, trying to figure out what was going on. She just got her life back and now it looked like she was trying to throw it away.
Effie just groaned as she looked at Bex with a pout. "But Ms. Allaway," she whined, knowing it would bug her to be treated like the teacher.
"How was your meeting with the shrink?" Bex asked quickly just to change the subject as she tossed the cigarette out the nearest window.
Effie flashed a smile. "Peachy. Lovely. Glorious. Did you guys drink all my booze while I was gone?" she asked with a now serious face, and the tall blonde just sighed and pinched her eyes shut.

"You two did not," she said to Jack and Gewls as they were walking down the hall, a devious smile on her face when Jack's cheeks turned pink.
"What are you talking about?" he said in the lamest attempt to hide it, but he wasn't even bothering really. She knew, Bex knew, Zander knew. It wasn't that hard to figure out.
"Next time, fix the sex hair before you face daylight again," Bex commented to Jack who immediately ran a hand through his hair, and Bex gave Gewls a wink and a chuckle.
"You're telling me everything later," Effie told her, and Bex nodded in agreement.
"Have you two seen Ace and Kieera yet?" Bex asked, glancing over their shoulders as if the two had been with them.

Zander cut in. "Ace is breaking everyone out of classes with his amazing talent for the sciences." The kid really did have a gift of mayhem. And he could rock it. He looked between everyone before turning slightly in the direction Effie had come from. There was a freshly cleaned Link, stranding in the mist of it all and he could hardly believe his eyes.

"You were too busy shagging to be in class," Effie said, going for the more obvious approach instead of Bex's "let's avoid the point as long as possible" approach.
Bex hit her best friend on the shoulder playfully, but things went from joking to serious in the blink of an eye, when Effie's smile quickly faded and she had to grip her best friend's shoulder in an attempt not to fall over. Her breath caught, and in an instant she wasn't in the school anymore again. She was somewhere else, far away, in the same damp basement from the previous memory. Only this time she was fighting someone who was obviously too strong for her, but also seemed to know every move she was trained to use on him.
"Effie!" Bex quickly shouted, reaching for the small girl when she heard the panicked wheezes escaping her throat, and she looked up at Zander. "Go get the nurse," she said quickly.
"No!" Effie said once she managed to snap back, blinking a few times before she realized she was clutching Bex with every muscle in her tiny hands and pulling away just as quickly. "I'm fine. Don't you dare go get that damn nurse," she said to Zander, throwing him an icy glare.
Jack just stared awkwardly at Effie, trying to figure out what the hell was going on. He glanced over at Gewls, wondering if he should feel guilty for regretting leaving that dorm room. They could have just locked themselves in there for the rest of the day... Instead, they were here, watching this girl have a mini seizure or something.

Zander was just about to go when Effie gave him the death glare. It was bad. And he didn't really feel like he could move. "Are you okay?" He asked quietly even though the answer was quite obvious.
Link was by her side in an instant. He didn't touch her though, in fact what they had discussed earlier made it seem like he couldn't really move more than five inches closer to her. He didn't want too. That was the entire problem. It wasn't like any of them could help either. They had to just watch because it was her memories slowly coming back to haunt her.
(So, idea; Gewls mom is working with Effie's from prison. Which is silly because she should be locked up in a high protected place but she's not.)

"I'm fine," Effie repeated sternly, pushing herself away from the group. Her shoulder suddenly ached like there was a lingering pain from a torn muscle or healing broken bone. She reached up and cradled it, wondering if it had been broken at some point. Whatever she remembered, it was painful enough to stick to her memory like glue. "It's something I just have to get used to, I guess." She looked at everyone around her with a frown, wishing she knew what to say to make this situation a little less awkward.
"You sure you're okay, Eff?" Bex asked, a worried look plastered on her face. She felt terribly guilty, like this was her fault. She realized that they were going to have to be a lot more careful to their precious Effie if they didn't want her slipping into a seizure every ten minutes.
Effie simply rolled her eyes. "I'm fine," she said slowly, as if Bex was hard of hearing. "Let's just go help Ace bust Kieera out of class."
Jack glanced over at Gewls once more but kept his mouth shut. He didn't want to get in that girl's way. "What class is she in?" he asked.
"Art," Effie answered quickly, surprised with herself that she remembered that. "I think. Unless you guys all changed schedules while I was gone or something."
Jack gestured down the hall, though in no real particular direction considering he routinely forgot they even had an art department. "Lead the way."

It felt like this awkard silence seemed to stretch on, even as Zander started walking. He knew where the art room was. This happened to be Kieera's favorite class of the day. She loved art more than anything and he was pretty sure at this point the only reason Kieera was even in spy school still was because of her friends. She should have gone onto something different but she didn't seem to want to leave.
Link followed behind, it seemed like he shouldn't have left his room because now he made himself feel like things were awkward. But what he was really out to do was scout for someone else to pine over. He couldn't believe though that Effie was struggling this bad. Anything could set her off and if it did… who would be able to help her out? No one. They didn't understand and they most certainly wouldn't.
Gewls chewed on her lip, reaching for Jack's hand, even if he didn't wan too. She was still on cloud nine with him. Well, without him. She didn't know where he was. But she definitely still felt like she was in heaven or something and she never thought she could feel like this. Even after watching one of her best friends have a hard time.

Jack nodded, though he wasn't really sure if he was allowed to jump in on the conversation. He did anyway, squeezing Gewls's hand tightly when he felt her fingers lace between his. "Do you think she's been diagnosed?" he whispered back, almost afraid the girl could hear them.
Effie could hear every single word they were saying - trained senses and all that jazz. And it didn't make her feel any better. None of this was. She felt weak and vulnerable; for the first time in her life she felt like she couldn't defend herself, and now she felt utterly worthless. "Are you blowing things up, Ace?" she asked once they reached the art hall, quickly spotting the boy with dark hair holding a yellow balloon. She didn't want to acknowledge anyone else. In fact, she had this twisting feeling in her gut like she didn't want to exist. But that was another matter for another time.
"Shh!" he hissed as he stood outside the door, already ready to plant the next explosive when the door opened, and there stood the art teacher that every girl had been drooling over since he showed up.
Caesar leaned against the doorway, an arrogant smile on his lips as he put his hands in his pockets. "You know, you could just ask nicely for her," he told them, knowing exactly what they were up to. His eyes landed on Effie, who looked even worse than when he saw her last. "You look like you're about to puke," he noted with a frown.
Effie let out a short laugh, leaning herself against the wall. "If I do, I'll be sure to do it on your lover's desk." She flashed a quick grin and Caesar rolled his eyes. Of course there were endless rumors floating around about him and Raegan, and they were hard to deny, considering how much time they spent together. "Kieera, your friends want to kidnap you," he called into the classroom. "And considering your dedication to this class, I don't really think it would be fair to not let you have some fun."

"I think we should just sit things out." Link muttered over to the couple. Even though he didn't want to just sit around and watch the game he played but unfortunately. He was going too.
Gewls shook her head at him. "I am going to go find out later tonight. I've been doing research since she disappear. Did you know at least five Harvey students have been abducted when they were students and only two of them actually escaped alive. Remains were found at a later date of the other three and Effie just happens to be one of the survivors. Plus, our school has a lot of education when it comes to the bad guys. We have a lot of resources." She felt like she couldn't shut up. "But I'll look up stuff on her tonight. Maybe even find Rae-" she cut herself off when she saw Caesar. Every girl did drool over him.
Kieera gathered her things together, giving he friends a all malicious looks. They shouldn't have been breaking her out. Especially because it was her favorite class, but whatever. She have her teacher a smile. "Thank you: I'll see you tomorrow." She said quietly, moving out into the other seven students.

Ace snorted and rolled his eyes before pointing at himself. "Chemistry nerd," he said with a cocky grin.
Caesar couldn't help but laugh just before he shook his head and closed the classroom door, going back to his students.
"There's our lovely Kieera," Bex said enthusiastically. "Ace and I got bored so we decided to break everyone else out of class and now we're planning on putting on our bikinis and enjoying these last few warm days before fall hits and going for a swim in the pond. Maybe some alocholic beverages will be involved."
"Hopefully," Effie muttered quietly, and Bex decided to ignore the comment.
Jack noted the look she gave Caesar but quickly brushed it off. He didn't want to take in personally considering that literally every girl - okay, maybe not the ones like Effie - were generally stunned speechless around him. Besides, the 20-something-year-old teacher wasn't a threat. He looked back at his girlfriend, wondering if it was a good idea to be looking stuff up about Effie behind her back. Finding information out about that girl without her knowing it could be deadly. Still, he wanted to know. He wanted to do his spy thing and help. And considering that Link didn't want to participate, he considered this to be the perfect time. "Link, Gewls and I have something we need to do really quick," he said to the rest of them, glancing at the two of them. "We just have to head to the computer lab for a few. We'll meet you out by the pond?"
Bex didn't even think twice about it before she nodded and flashed a smile. "Hurry up. You don't want the sun setting on us; then the water will get really cold."
Jack returned the smile before he spun around, gently pulling Gewls along and eyeing Link to follow.
Ace looked down at the balloon in his hands with a frown, and Effie chuckled. "You don't know what to do with that, do you?"
"Not a clue," he said before sighing and looking at Kieera. "And here I was thinking I could get away with my romantic, James Bond-esque gesture by detonating a balloon bomb to break you out of class, and Mr. Perfect has to come along and ruin it." He sighed dramatically and shook his head.

Kieera rolled her eyes. "He isn't Mr. Perfect and you my friend, don't need to breaks out of class. But thank you." She gave them all a smile, but her eyes seemed to land right on Bex just when she realized that they would have the opportunity to to sit in the sun. She could work on being tan. And maybe, just maybe she would finally admit to Ace that she wished they were more than just a hook up. She honestly wanted to just be more than kissing buddies.
Link blinked but followed anyways, he didn't want to be around Effie at this time anyways since they had been in a fight. Maybe that's what it was? "so, what's going on?" He asked, following closely behind Gewls who turned and smiled.
"We are going to have some fun." She replied.

Bex looked over at Effie before hesitantly grabbing her hand. Any kind of physical contact was going to terrify her from here on out. "You coming, love?" She flashed a smile in the hopes that her best friend would join them on the mini adventure will ditching class.
Effie returned the smile before saying, "As long as I get some if this booze you're talking about."
Bex rolled her eyes before reaching over to grab Kieera's hand to start dragging both of them to the stairs to their dorm. She needed a break from constant classes with everyone always wondering when or if Effie would return. Effie was back, and know they could all go back to partying and whatnot.
Jack walked into the computer lab first once he checked that no one else was in the room. "So who wants to hack them first?" he asked, turning back to Link and Gewls. He felt excited and anxious, worried that they might br caught by a teacher - or worse: Effie. But he was also thrilled to be doing something reckless again. It'd been too long.
Zander thought the day had been petty interesting. Seeings how Ace had done that. It was on purpose of course. The guy was a mad scientist. He leaned back against his chair and looked out at the classroom. It didn't seem to make the day to faster anyhow. He hadn't gone to class right away when headmaster had found him sitting outside he had asked him to go th chemistry and Zander was quite glad he had made it just in time.
(Sorry it sucks.)
