Kieera felt a sigh of relief bubble up in her throat. She was so grateful to find this sweet guy who liked her enough to accept her. Well, everyone in the car seemed to want her around. So maybe it was good that she opened up.
Zander took a breath. "I can't… I have this addiction to… well…" how was he even going to tell them how he struggled with something like porn. If anything, they would laugh at his problem. He knew that deep down… havif sex between every class and what not- wasnt logical. But it sure made for a good time.

Bex cupped her head in her hand and offered him a light smile. "Believe me, absolutely nothing you say will scare me away. Half the stuff this girl's addicted to I didn't even know existed," she said, jutting her thumb towards Effie who shot her a very cold glare and raised her fist as a threat.
"I'm not addicted to anything," she defended.
Bex just nodded, deciding not to argue it, before turning back to Zander.
"Dude, whatever it is, you can't scare us away that easily," Jack assured him, patting Zan's shoulder.

Kieera gave her brother an encouraging look. "It's okay Zan." They never really talked like siblings anymore. But she wanted to help him out.
"I'm addicted to porn." Zander finally said, putting his face in his hands. "I know it's stupid but at the same time it's not. There's a while group at school who get together a make videos and stuff… but that's… I've seen a lot." And done a lot. he thought, glancing up at Bex after he let everything out. She was probably going to think he was lame as ever. He learned over tryin to ask her to the dance that he did like her. But Franky was… they were something.

"That's it?" Effie jumped in, eyeing him through the reflection of the review mirror. Bex turned to her and frowned, wondering if she should stop her from talking. But Effie had this weird sense of humor that oddly enough ended up helping people more often than not. It worked with Kieera plenty of times. "I thought you were going to say you were addicted to MDMA or something and we could have partied together."
Bex rolled her eyes at Effie before looking back at Zan. "Does it help if I tell you that I don't think it's weird or abnormal?" She raised a brow and offered a smile. "And it's not stupid. You're not stupid." Again, she didn't really feel all that shocked. She had a sneaking suspicion that Zan liked sex just a bit more than the average teenage boy.

Zander rolled his eyes. "What if I told you that I did once upon a time. The girls I've had sex with are into some pretty weird shit." He moved closer towards the window, feeling more uncomfortable than not. He ran his fingers through his hair as if it fixed everything, but by no means did it actually fix anything that was going on.
Gewls cleared her throat, glancig at the two boys next to her. "I think it's okay. Sex is fun." She mumbled. Okay, so maybe she'd only tried it once. When she lost her virginity to her first boyfriend. "I mean… it helps relieve stress and stuff."
"I'm just going to come out and say this… let's change the subject, like now?" Lincoln felt like this was too awkward to even breath.

Effie was not about to let the subject drop, but Bex cut her off before she had a chance to question Zander some more. "Fine. Okay, then who's next for a secret or story?"
"You," Jack reminded, remembering that Ace had picked her originally before she pawned it off on Kieera.
"I don't have any fun stories." Bex swallowed hard. It wasn't even close to the truth, but she was terrified to tell anyone about them. Though they all promised to stick together, she felt like her stories could drive them all away from her.
Ace nudged the back of her seat with his knee. "C'mon, Bex. It's like when we played truth or dare. No one's getting out of this. We're in too deep." He grinned, as if what he said made it any less awkward. It didn't, but he liked to think it did.
She licked her lips and glanced at Effie, which shot her another glare. "If one of your stories involves something about me, I'm ditching your ass at the next gas station."
Bex rolled her eyes again before sighing and she started talking. "Well, I do have a pretty major secret," she admitted hesitantly, fidgeting with her hands. "I was diagnosed with schizophrenia when I was about ten, which is super rare because when you have schizophrenia your supposed to have your psychotic break when you're, like, twenty, but I started hearing voices when I was eight." She looked at everyone around her, swallowing loudly again. "The school doesn't know. They wouldn't have let me in if they did, but... now you guys know." She forced a laugh as she tucked her hair behind her ear. She'd never told anyone about it before, and here she was telling six others, excluding Effie who'd been there for her when it started.

Zander crossed his arms as he listened, wishing he could disappear but it seemed as though there was still some time before they would make it. "Bex… you're…" he couldn't find the right words to say to her.
But Kieera did. "I knew there was this reason I liked you." The girl was pretty nice. She had an amazing personality. And honestly, Kieera couldn't see her like that. She thought that Bex was completely normal.
Gewls just waved her hand. "You're fabulous Bex." She leaned back against th seat, taking Jack's hand once again so that she could feel comfortable about being in the car. She hated ridin in cars. It made everything seem te times worse.

"I'm crazy, yeah," Bex told Zander with a light laugh. "Like, clinically crazy. But oh well." She smiled at Kieera and Bex, feeling her cheeks turn red. That had gone a lot better than she originally thought; they seemed to take that a lot better than she had anticipated. "Someone else should go now," she insisted, wanting the attention off of her for right now. "Link. You've been awfully quiet."
Jack smiled at Gewls, kissing her cheek quickly before pulling away. "You okay?" he asked hesitantly. She looked nervous, like something was bothering her.

Link heard his name and immediately looked up. "Who all has gone? Why don't we let Effie take it?" He wasnt exactly see what he was going to say. Maybe talk about his family. He was very… angry. He was an angry person. He rubbed his jaw while he tried to think. And yet nothing was coming to mind. He was almost positive that Effie had at least one more than him. "I dare Effie to go." He said with this smile on his face as if he would win this war or something.
Zander nodded. "It's cool. There is nothing wrong with being crazy." He gave her this smile that reassured anything. He wasnt normal either. He liked to haw sex and she was nuts. They would do some crazy shit together. Well, everyone would because again, he had to remind himself that he was in fact with Franky.
Gewls nodded. "Yeah, I am fine. Everything is wonderful." She squeezed his hand. "How about you?"

Effie and Bex exchanged a look, and Bex smiled. "You never turn down a dare, do you Duchess?" she said with a chuckle and Effie let out a long sigh.
She shook her head while she eyed the road. "I'll only go if you go," she said to Link. "You share one story or secret, and then I'll do the same. Deal?" She definitely didn't want to go first, and she needed time to think of something she could share that wasn't major. No matter how much she trusted these guys, she wasn't going to expose her entire life story to them. Or to anyone, for that matter.
Jack gave Gewls a quick nod and a big grin. "Peachy," he told her. His attention drifted back to the conversation in the car, trying to figure out why Effie was avoiding the question. Then again, she was a very secretive girl.

Link leaned forward, against the back of the middle section seats. "I was born on April fools. So one year, when I was turning eleven, my parents decided to pull a prank on me and tell me I was adopted. Needless to say I spent the next week locked up in my room, even after they had told me it was a joke, trying figure out if it was true or not." He didn't even know what to think when his mother sat him down with a serious look on her face and said 'you're not really my son.' "I cried at first but realized DNA testing could help me out." It wasnt much of a secret. But it was a story of his past.
"I wish that was the case for my mother." Gewls said sourly. She hadn meat to be so mean, but her mother was… awful. She let go of jack's hand to pull her hair Ito a nice bun. "Sorry, Effie, you're going after me. When I was six, my father married my step mother, and finally told me that she wasnt my real mom. About five years later he told me that my mother was a bad guy who was locked up in prison. Though, I knew all along he was a spy, and my step mom was. They trained me. But, anyhow, he said on our bad days that I was a mistake that my mother threw on him. One, he did hook up with her and two, it took two people to have a baby."

Effie gladly listened to Link tell his story, and very silently allowed Gewls to tell hers.
"You guys had messed up childhoods," Bex commented with a light laugh.
Effie blew a puff of smoke out the window before turning to Bex. "Please, your parents wanted to lock you up in an asylum when they found out you were talking to things that weren't there," Effie said sarcastically, and Bex laughed again.
"We're all pretty messed up, huh?" Bex added with a soft sigh.
Ace smiled proudly. "Except me. My childhood was painfully average. Well, for a spy kid."
"So," Bex said, smiling at her best friend. "What's your secret, Duchess?"
"I was born on Halloween," Effie said and rolled her eyes, hoping that would satisfy them.

Link let out a laugh. "That's very shocking Effie." He mumbled.
"For reals though, Effie, tell us something…" Kieera found herself saying. She honestly wanted to know more. And she knew everyone else in the car wanted an idea of who Effie was. Obviously everyone was trusting each other with their secrets. Not even secrets but stories of their personal life.
"I for one would like to know a little more about the girl who literally handed Franky her ass." Zander felt this smile curl on the edge of his lips. He just wanted to know how Effie became so kick ass. Franky, even if he was her boy toy or whatever, still deserved to get beat up for even thinking she could take on Effie with blind siding her.
"It'll be a good story. Just one, and then we'll hack your file to find out more or maybe have secret meetings with miss Bex to find out how crazy you really are." Link said.
"There is a legit reason you two are friends after all, isn't there?" Gewls asked.

Effie wanted to be defensive, keep her secrets to herself, but she couldn't help but smile at what they all had said. So she bit the bullet and let out a quiet sigh before starting. "My parents went missing when I was about thirteen," she said quietly, holding her cigarette between her teeth. "Went on a mission and missed a check-in. They've been off the grid since, so we just assume they're dead." Her voice got softer and softer as she spoke; the majority of the decisions she made to share her secrets bit her back in the ass. "That's how Bex and I became friends. Our parents worked together, and after they disappeared I got into a lot of trouble at school and..." She stopped and shook her head, snickering.
Bex joined in with a proud smile. "I bet her that she wasn't smart enough to get into Harvey. She ended up getting her acceptance letter before me."
Effie's attitude shifted back to what she was normally like and made a face at Bex. "You make it sound like you're my wife."

Kieera felt her heard clench. She didn't know what that was like. It must have been awful. "You and Bex are so funny together. Might as well be married."
Link licked his lips. "How much longer till we are there?" He asked, not that he was ready to get ou of the car or anything. They were clearly having a bonding time.
"Wait, I wanna hear a Jack story." Gewls said with a smile. Even though she already knew more about him than anyone else. She was still interested in knowing more about the man she was in a relationship with.

Effie checked the clock in the car. "About an hour," she answered Link quietly, thankful that they weren't talking about her now.
"What else is there to tell?" Jack said to Gewls with a laugh. "I'm missing a leg. It doesn't get any more interesting than that. There's no other story to tell." He gave a shrug, though he tried thinking of something.
Ace pretended to be mortified as he spun around to face his best friend since freshman year. "You're missing a leg?! What the hell? How did I not know about this?"
Jack laughed and flicked the back of his head. "Smartass," he mumbled.

Link nodded, looking at the back of her head, but she seemed pretty focused on the road ahead. Wasnt that great. He felt kinda like a sick after everything that had happened. Well, he still wanted to he an ass about Demitri. But at this point the guy wasnt around so he could hang out with the beautiful Effie. He finally sunk back into his seat, laughing at Ace and Jack. Both funny guys really.
Gewls smacked his arm. "Jack, are you freaking kidding me. There is clearly something other than that. But I guess it's between us." She rested her head on his shoulder. "I'll read your file later." She whispered in his ear, laughing softly.
Kieera couldn't help but smile. "You two." She sighed, lookin out the window. It seemed like the road stretched off. "Can you imagine what tomorrow night is going to be like?" She asked. "I know Anya is pretty damn excited."

Jack just shrugged. "Believe me, growing up as a muggle was not interesting. The best thing that's in that file probably involves a swirly incident in the eighth grade," he assured with another laugh.
"Is the duchess by chance an alcoholic? That'd make my night easier," Effie sneered quietly as she glanced at Bex.
Bex gave her a look. "You're not drinking, Effie." When she rolled her eyes again, Bex grabbed her hand. "I mean it. You're not going to put this whole mission at risk for a couple of shots."
Effie just shook her head; she was already coming up with a plan. "So you four lovebirds," she said, looking towards Ace and Kieera, and Jack and Gewls. "You didn't happen to ask them to be your dates, have you?" At the sight of Ace's paling face, she gawked. "Smooth. Zander isn't even dating Bex and he already asked her."

"That's not fun at all…" Gewls voice trailed off at the sound of Bex and Effie arguing and then when Effie turned the attention into them. She felt like her heart stopped. It didn't matter… she just assume that they would at some point dance together in the nigh. But it wasnt really about dates it was a mission to uncover some major stuff.
Kieera got defensive. "Ace and I aren't 'love birds'. We aren't even a couple. It doesn't matter." She muttered, moving even closer to the window. "What about Lincoln. Why hasn't he asked you out?" She pushed.
"She likes Demitri." Link sulked in the back, his bad mood coming back. He didn't want to feel this way but it was there.
Zander scoffed. "That's because Bex and I are going in as a couple. If you read the information…" he didn't really read the information until this very day. He had no idea.

Jack gave another shrug and smiled. "Life as a muggle is rough," he said.
Effie glared at what Link said. "You really shouldn't make assumptions," she murmured with a frown before glancing at Kieera, and before she could say anything, Bex was interrupting.
"C'mon, let's not start fighting now," Bex insisted as she looked at everyone with a frown. "We're going to be spending all weekend together. We can't start the fights now."
Ace just gave an awkward look towards Kieera, feeling like the atmosphere just got painfully awkward at what Effie had said.

Gewls gave him a nod. "I wasnt a muggle." She didn't have the life as a normal kid. But she wanted to hear more of his stories. She was raised in this world and he had only now began learning of it. Well, as long as he had been in high school. This kid… was awesome. "I like your muggle ways by the way."
Kieera didn't glance at him once even though she felt like she needed too. She felt so guilty. Even if they weren't a 'thing'. They did kiss and they did make out… and he did hold her hand. "No one is fighting." She mumbled.
"I don't need to make assumptions to see exactly what the hell is going on." Link said with a look.

"Oh really? You think you know what's going on?" Effie challenged, spinning in her seat when she came to a stop at another red light to look him in the eye. "You honestly think you know who I am and what I feel?" Her voice was practically up to a shout, and her face was turning red. Bex reached over to grab her arm.
"Effie! Seriously, knock it off!" she insisted, pulling on her best friend.
Jack nearly jumped at the sound of Effie shouting; he definitely didn't see the conversation escalating to the point where people needed to be yelling at each other.
Ace just licked his lips and glanced down at their intertwined hands, wondering if she wanted him to pull away, but he wasn't about to. He didn't want to.

"I don't Effie. But I analyze. I can see you laugh differently with him and your face… your eyes, they brighten." Link felt his throat tighten. Why was he even acting like this? It wasn't fair. He took a breath, letting it out and forcing to let everything go. "Fine, you win Effie. I'm letting it go. It doesn't matter what you think or feel."
Zander turned around in his seat. "Link…" it felt like at this rate, everyone was going to be snapping at each other.
Kieera finally let go of his hands, if she had the option she would curl up into a ball. But she didn't. The space was too small. "Why aren't we there yet?" She said under her breath.
Gewls shifted uncomfortably in her seat. "I'm starting to feel car sick. Can we pull over?"

Effie sped the car over into a rather conveniently located gas station, coming to a stop with a halt. She took the keys out of the car before turning around in her seat again to glare at Link. "You know, I don't get it, Link," she said loudly, her tone angry and sarcastic. "First you're acting like a jealous twat, and now you don't care what I think or feel. Will you land on something and stop trying to make my head spin?" She practically kicked the door open to get out, not at all surprised to see a matching SUV pulling into the gas pump directly behind them. She gave a mock smile to their tails that were following them from the school before walking into the station.
"That's it, I'm driving," Bex announced, moving over into the driver's seat with a loud groan. She looked over at Link and added, "I'm sorry about her," she said, feeling the need to explain herself, though there really was no explaining.
Jack got out first to get out of the way of Gewls in case she was actually going to get sick, only after Ace got out to let them out. They all needed the air; the car was getting way too stuffy.

Link felt himself fly forward, but managed to catch himself. "What do you want me to do Effie? Some people don't like to play little shitty games?" He said, following. Jack and Gewls out of the back seat. He was starting to feel the anger boil right back up. Why was she even fighti him on this anyways?
Gewls practically ran inside to the restroom. She needed to just take a deep breath and be away from everyone for a second. It got to her that her team was fightin. How would they survive?
Zander got out of the back, and went around to sit in the passenger seat, right next to Bex. "I lied about something." He said quietly to her. Now was the time for him to be honest. "I want to get to know you better Bex."
Kieera followed after Gewls. "Do you think I made a mistake?" She asked.
"For what?"
"I just… Ace and I aren't together." Kieera said with a sigh.
"We know this. But it doesn't change that the only dance we'll ever to to in high school is comig up tomorrow and he didn't…" Gewls started to explain but Kieera cut her off.
"You said last night it was just a mission and that's why you didn't care that jack didn ask you." She pointed out to the other girl.

Effie just rolled her eyes, walking up to the counter. She asked for a pack of her favorite type of smokes and pulled out a fake I.D. she made back during her sophomore year that she managed to convince the school she didn't have on her. "Shitty little games?" she asked as she spun on Link, her vision red as she looked at him. "You think this is a game?"
Bex looked up at him, trying to convince herself her heart really wasn't beating that fast at the thought of him sitting literally right next to her, his side against hers. "What did you lie to me about?" she asked calmly, looking into his eyes.
"I need a soda," Jack said to Ace, who nodded in agreement, and they followed each other into the store, just in time to hear Effie shouting back at Link - again.

Link crossed his arms over his chest, watching her reaction towards him and her he still continued on even though his heart was telling him not too. "Are you kidding me? I feel like it's always a game or a joke. Feelings aren't something to be messed with." He said seriously. Shaking his head at her with the pack of cigarettes.
Kieera and Gewls both came out minutes later, Gewls grabbing a pack of gum to cover up her ratchet breath. She made her way towards Jack anyways, eyeing Ace the entire time she went. Kieera just needed to bulk up and ask.

Effie handed the cashier some cash and grabbed the pack of cigarettes before stepping closer to Link. "Feelings? You think I'm messing with your feelings?" She wanted nothing to do with feelings and emotions and relationships. She bottled everything she felt up into a Molotov cocktail to throw at her enemies. "I'm not messing with anybody's feelings. Why is Demitri such a big deal to you?"
Jack grabbed a bottle of Coke when Gewls appeared and turned around to look at her. "Want one?" he asked, gesturing to the sodas while Ace grabbed himself an energy drink and a bag of Swedish fish, smiling at Kieera. "If you ever want to buy me candy, your go-to choice is going to be these," he said with a chuckle as he raised the bag towards her.

Zander got real still and silent when he realized Link was there. So their conversation was immediately over. But at some point in the weekend he would find her and talk to her once again. It was important to him to get it all out.
Gewls reached into the fridge and grabbed a bottle of aqua. She wasnt much of a soda drinker. It gave her headaches. And having server motion sickness wasnt awesome either. "I'll stick with the old fashion choice of water." She said, giving Jack a smile.
Kieera nodded. "I'll keep that in mind." She could hear link yelling and turned just in time to see him storm out of the gas station.

Bex nearly jumped straight out of her seat when she heard Link lunge back into the car and start shouting. She let out a soft sigh as she looked at Zander, realizing she'd have to wait to hear what he was going to say, before spinning around in the seat to lean her head over the headrest and look at Link. "She's so what, Link?" she asked, her voice quietly gentle to match her gaze. "She's a screwed up girl with a cluttered past who's afraid of more than she's willing to admit. But once you get past thing, she's someone you don't to lose. Don't be that guy that doesn't think she isn't worth that," she said slowly and quietly; she wasn't oblivious. None of them were. They all knew Link had a thing for Effie, and it was only a matter of time before Effie either fell head first into what she was feeling or bottled it all up again and tried to drown what her heart was telling her.
"Carbonation helps ease an upset stomach," Jack informed her with a serious look before smiling. "A plain soda, like ginger ale or 7-Up or something won't upset it but will help with the nausea."
Ace listened to what Jack was saying after he watched Effie storm out of the gas station only seconds after Link had disappeared. "What? Are you a doctor now or something?"
Jack grinned at his friend. "Roller coasters make me sick, but I love them. I usually end up drinking my weight in ginger ale after every ride just to make sure I don't throw up."
Ace gave a slow nod before looking back at Kieera. "What about you? What's your favorite candy?" he asked with a smile.
(Oooh yay! I'm an android person, but smartphones are always fun :))

Heels grabbed a bottle of ginger ale too. "I'm trusting you on this honey." She said quietly, going up to the counter moments later to check out. She felt completely drained from throwing yo which was funny because she rarely even did that. She went back outside to see what was going on whole Kieera turned to look up at Ace.
"I like Reese's peanut butter cups. I love chocolate and peanut bitter." She mumbled. Dark eyes leaving his only to fall on the ground.

Bex chewed on her lip as she glanced at Zander before looking back at Link. "No offense, Link, but why do you have your heart set on the fact that Effie likes Demitri? He brought her alcohol; she'd flirt with anyone who did that." It wasn't really fair, for him or Effie, that he was so convinced she liked Demitri. Of course, Bex had no idea who Effie liked. The only thing she was ever sure of was who she didn't like.
Jack gave her a reassuring smile before buying his own soda and eagerly popping it open and taking a long drink. He'd been dying for an ice cold soda.
Ace smiled lightly before grabbing a pack of the peanut butter cups, paying for them at the counter and handing them to her before she could object. He still felt bad about what Effie had said, not asking her to the dance. He had no idea if that's what she wanted or not, but it sure as hell seemed like it based on the way Effie implied it. A small pack of candy wasn't going to solve it, but it was a start.

Link gave her this look, which had Zander ready to defend her. "She just… I… why are you questioning me on thief is it because she's your best friend and incapable of realizing that the Russian douchebag his here to rip your friend away from you and others who care about her deeply. It's a bunch of shit and I don't want you defending him." It seemed like asshole lived inside the stupid guy. Link was just pushing on with it instead of trying to whoo her even if she didn't have these feelings for him that he definitely had for her. Life was shitty. He hadn't been treated awsomely and all he wanted was Demitrious to leave her alone. It wasn't too much to ask.
Kiera looked down at the candy. "Oh thanks." She said, taking it from him, a small smile appearing on her face. She leaned up on ther tippy ties and missed his cheek.

Effie gave a light shrug and a reassuring smile, mentally noticing her hesitation before giving her full answer. She'd noticed that Gewls had only started feeling sick when they started fighting, which was a good hour and a half into the drive, but she wasn't going to question her and put her under the spot light. "I'd tell you to take a nap, but I can already see the city from here, so it might not be worth it." She flashed another smile before turning and heading back towards the car.
"I'm not defending him, Link. I'm defending Effie," Bex said, almost defensively, but managed to keep her tone low. "She's been through a lot of shit and the percentage of the time that she isn't high and/or drunk is almost nonexistent compared to the rest of her life. For example, I know she was just on the phone with some connection she has in Denver about some drug deal. She's a messed up girl, Lincoln, and if you're not ready to handle what she throws out, then you better stay out of range." She let out another quick sigh before spinning around in her seat again, fiddling with the levers and nobs so she fit behind the wheel. "And if it makes you feel any better, we can all start keeping tabs on Demitri. I know I don't trust him either." She just hoped Effie was as careful around him.
"Don't mention it," Ace murmured as he ducked his head to the ground, running a hand through his messy hair in an attempt to cover up the blush that was rising in his cheeks. She was always so cute; it made him feel like a little kid back in elementary school who got butterflies around his crush. "So I'm assuming you girls still have to go dress shopping before tomorrow night?" he asked as he headed towards the car.

You can it's perfectly awesome! :) )
