Whitnee (Sorry I crashed on ya!)

Demitrious gave her this smile. "I'm glad you're sharing with me then." He said, leaning against the wall. He was so glad she was sharing even if he wasnt planning on getting drunk he was planning on getting closer to her so she needed to be drunk.
Kieera followed him in. "It's okay, we were just making out before class." She thought it was a good excuse. But mayb it wouldn't be smart spreading that kind of rumor since they weren't doing anything like that. Though she felt like it would be a fun thing. "But good for you, for drinking away. Do you feel any better?"

"I don't think I really wanna know." Gewls admitted, stopping abruptly in the hallway. "It might be smarter to take one file at a time." She said, just in case someone wanted to look at their files. She would take care of it. And se would figure everything out with the help of Jack because he was a brilliant guy.

Zander glanced at Bex and sighed. "I think I don't like that nurse. Though things were going nowhere with Franky. She was hurting. And complaining." He muttered to himself, shaking his head as though he couldn't comprehend the situation.

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (Nah it's cool! How's babysitting?)

Effie giggled, and Ace gave a look of shock and worry. In the past few days that he'd known her, he'd never heard that kind of innocent sound from her. "Never better. Is he a good kisser then?" She looked at Kieera, gesturing towards Ace who was still caught up in the moment and trying to figure it out. He looked over at Demitri, wondering what was going on between both of them, and thinking about how suspicious it was that he was getting her drunk this early. But then again, nobody made Effie do anything, so maybe he was just a partner in crime.

Jack gave a shrug, his arms crossed over his chest as he smiled back at her, stopping just a foot in front of her. "Sounds good to me." Part of him still felt hesitant though, as if he was afraid to read in the files or what the files might say about him.

Bex shook her head and smiled up at him. "He's not that bad. Effie and him are best friends." She laughed lightly as she looked at him. "What do you mean, things were going nowhere?" she asked curiously.

message 453: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (It's long. But he's such a cute kid when he gives me this cheesy grin. My siblings are just crazy about him.)

"Ace is a wonderful kisser." Kieera said with smile. If she could get better a lying than that would be much better. She did however think, that in her drinker state, and him being her first kiss (well not first kiss. She would just prefer that to be her first, rather than the guy who was actually her first). He was pretty darn amazing and one day they would kiss again. She Would make it happen.

Gewls nodded, taking this deep breath. "And… before you see my file, just know that not everything in there is true. I did do some pretty stupid things… and I hung out with some stupid people but that doesn mean I am stupid." Maybe it did though.

Zander looked at her closely. He wished for just one second that he hadnt been such an idiot. If he would hav been nicer and not into the whole… sex part of a relationship, he would have wanted to be with her because she seemed nice. "I just… don't want to see her hurt because she likes to fight with Effie."

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (Awww that's cute :)) I love little kids)

"Good," Effie said with a smile, offering out the bottle towards her. "What do you say? Get a little buzz before class?" Effie's eyes wandered back over to Demitri, cocking her head to the side as she thought long and hard, trying to figure the boy out. Now more than ever she wanted to hack into the files and figure out just who this kid was and what he was hiding; they all had secrets after all.
Ace bit his lip nervously as he waited for Kieera to answer Effie; he was concerned that she'd say yes. Getting drunk was against school rules, of course, but getting drunk before class was just asking to get kicked out and have your memory erased. He was wondering if she would take that risk.

Jack just shrugged again, smiling slightly. "I know you're not stupid. You're brilliant. Besides, we all have secrets." He slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her close as he kept his eyes forward and walked. "There's something I've been meaning to bring up, and now seems like the perfect time anyway." His voice was steady as he tried to convince himself he wasn't nervous to talk to her about it, but the way he avoided her eyes definitely cancelled out however perfect his tone was.

Bex shrugged once more. "She's tough. I wouldn't worry about her too much." She couldn't even force a smile at that point; in all honesty, she didn't want to talk about him and Franky anymore. She wasn't about to admit it, not even to herself, but she felt jealous. If only someone cared about her like he did. "Excited for this weekend? This whole ball thing is going to be amazing." She grinned then, from ear to ear, and practically bounced on her feet.

message 455: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Me too! It's been hard though. I could hardly imagine being a single mom like my friend is. And I have people who are helping me.)

Demitri almost wanted the girls to get drunk so that he could analyze them. It would be hilarious too. The Harvey girls were wild. He knew this purely because of a girl that had transefered.
Kieera shook her head. "I think… you shouldn't go to class Effie. Headmistress already…" she didn't finish what she was going to say but she knew drinking would be a once and a while type of thing for her. She didn't want to get kicked out. This was all she had when it came to school though she loved her art. "I'm not going too… even if I do feel different when I do." She promised Ace after seeing te look on his face.

Gewls felt her heart skip in her chest. "What exactly do you want to tell me?" She asked , managing to keep te cracking out of her voice. She had this fear things would go sour but she wasnt going to let it make things different. The way he spoke was like he trusted her and she didn't want to be afraid of this trust. She liked him all too much to let anything chase her away b

"Yeah… I figure… we could go to the ball together as a date." Zander didn't even know how she'd answer to that but he had planned on asking her when Franky wasn't all over him. He pushed his hand through his hair tryin to figure everything of in his head. The girl was going to ask him about Bex and te mission. What would he even say? He went with Kieera. That would make him feel slightly better but the only problem was he… kind of wanted Ace to keep her. So he could get to know Bex.

message 456: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (I couldn't imagine it either. I mean, I'd love to be a mom someday, but managing it by myself... I'd end up pulling all my hair out)

Effie shook her head, standing up quickly and easily, as if she wasn't intoxicated at all. "The last thing I need is to get busted for ditching because I'm drunk," she said as she screwed the cap back on the bottle and walking into the bathroom, tucking it into her favorite hiding place: behind a loose tile in the shower. She grabbed a new shirt, one that didn't have blood stains on it, and threw on her leather jacket. "Besides, I've got self defense today and I'm a better fighter when I'm drunk." She winked at Kieera, pretending to throw her punches before throwing her arm around her shoulders and heading towards the door with her.
Ace didn't say anything to Kieera; he just nodded and ran his hand through his hair as he looked to the floor, deciding it would be best not to stare at Effie while she redressed, though he'd already witnessed that show last night. He pushed himself off the doorway, glancing at Demitri as he waited for him to leave the girls' dorm first. They didn't need anybody snooping around; Effie would probably break all his fingers.

Jack licked his lips as he eyed the ground, ironically watching where his feet landed on the carpeted hallway. "Ever heard of osteosarcoma?" he asked slowly before finally mustering the courage to look her in the eye. "Do you know what it is?" He didn't want her to worry that it was something to do with her; it was nothing she could change, but he still felt scared to tell her. He didn't want to scare her off.

Bex resisted the urge to grin from ear to ear, but she couldn't stop her cheeks from turning cherry red. "Only if you ask me in a really adorable and/or impressive manner," she reasoned, biting her bottom lip as she practically hopped up the stairs towards her classroom. "Since we don't have homecoming, this will have to make up for it. Balloons, flowers, candles, all that jazz," she explained, picturing it in her head. "And then I'll consider it."

message 457: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (She's a real mentor in my life. I'm so proud of her and all she's accomplished. Her baby is so freaking cute too! But anyways, I agree )

Demitri pushed himself off of the wall, making his way ou of the dorm room. He didn't need to snoop. Just by looking around their room, he could already tell that Kieera was a shy girl, who only opened up when she was stressed, drunk, or comfortable. She was an artist and when Ace looked at her she turned red. Effie liked to drink, she didn't want to open up to anyone because she obviously had trust issues, and her favorite pass time was probably sitting by her window smoking, then throwing cigarettes out the window at people. Bex was a girly girl, who suffered from a mental provoke but nobody seemed to rally notice because she took medication to help. She was girly and even if it had been two seconds of talking to her; she was into Zander real hard. And last but not least, Gewls, was slightly obsessed with being perfect, she had a lot of computer stuff so she was a tech, and… she had a tattoo in her hip. He noticed it when she was standing by the breakfast bar, the way she twisted helped him out. He was observant. And he knew a lot already. Not even getting all the guys too. Thy each had their own things. He knew how to press Link's buttons, he knew that Jack was a little protective and he knew that Ace was all over the idea of getting Kieera drunk after school.
Kieera out an arm around Effie's waist. "You don't think it's a stupid idea goin to class. I mean… I trust you and all to do your thing but Effie, we lead in two days." She was worried and she needed Effie to be there with her.

Gewls forced him to stop walking. Even if they were late to class she wanted to hear this. "I have read a couple things, like it's a home tumor, happens in boys more than girls… little things but, yes." Where was this going exactly? She tilted her head, taking his face in her hands, almost to make him look up at her. Instead of shy away. He couldn't just shy away. This was too important.

Zander smiled a little, watching her jump up the stairs to her class. She was a real charmer. "Alright, I better plan this out." He said with a serious look on his face. He was going to ask her out amazingly. He felt nervous about it though. It was Bex and what would happen if she told Franky. Franky would be so pissed of.

message 458: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (Aww that's awesome! :D)

Whatever was up with the guy, Ace didn't like it. He couldn't put his finger on it, and he didn't like not having a reason behind it, but something in his gut told him he couldn't be trusted; yet Effie was already falling into whatever web he was weaving. Maybe she wasn't as smart as she thought she was.
Effie just rolled her eyes, sauntering down the hall with a swing in her hips thanks to the extra confidence boost. "The number of times I've attended class sober is an extensively shorter list than when I go drunk," she admitted. If anything, she was more comfortable intoxicated, which obviously came with it's own set of issues. "So Demitri's smoking hot," she said, not even bothering to keep her voice down. She could tell he was arrogant enough about his looks; hearing it from her wouldn't do anything but boost his ego, as if she cared. She grinned over at Kieera. "Think he's already taken? Maybe Franky's already slept with him."

Jack rubbed the back of his neck, forcing himself to look her in the eyes and remain as calm and relaxed as he could. The last thing he needed was an anxiety attack right now. He nodded at what she said. "Yeah, that's it. Long story short, it's like a bone cancer or something." He shrugged; even he still couldn't wrap his head around it. "I was diagnosed with it when I was a freshman. They caught it early enough that all they had to do was amputate my leg." He lifted up the right leg of his pants, exposing the prosthetic. He looked up at her, waiting for her reaction. "I've been cancer-free since, but..." He shrugged nervously again. "Just thought you deserved to know."

Bex pursed her lips together just to hide her smile as she stopped at the top of the stairs. "I've got class, and you do too. Franks will be fine, so don't worry about her." She lifted a fist and landed a soft, joking punch on his bicep that she knew wouldn't even make him flinch. "I expect something totally amazing," she said loudly as she made her way down the hall, away from him and towards her forensics class. Once she was far enough away, she realized what she was getting herself into. She was trying to distance herself, let whatever was supposed to happen between him and Franky happen, but instead she was going to be his date to the ball.

message 459: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee Demitri could sense the tension in Ace. Ace was obviously smarter than he was expecting. He felt this smile grow on his face when he finally made note of Effie speaking about him. "I think that you are smoking hot too." He cut in. Of course he was goin to tell her that. She was beautiful. He thought she was super beautiful. "And no, I haven't slept with cranky Franky."
Kieera sighed deeply, she felt like Demitri was a jerk. Even if she did think he was cute.

Gewls felt her throat tighten up. Freshman year must have been a shitty year for everyone. Her blue eyes stayed on his though, only to flicker to his fake leg. "So… what you're telling me is…" she knew the word she wanted to say but she felt like dragging it out for some dramatic effect. "Your different and that's alright. I like it." If anything made her feel like she had chosen the rich guy. He was perfect for her.

Zander gave her a big smile. "You'll be shocked. I promise." He felt himself say just as Link appeared besides them.
"I hate te new guy. I absolutely hate him!" He was so angry.

message 460: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Effie merely gave him a doubtful look and sneered. "Yeah, okay," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Nice try." She'd learned to never accept compliments after things went sour with her last boyfriend. She wasn't much into relationships. They were messy and heartbreaking and she'd much rather have sex without any strings attached. Effie stopped outside of her languages classroom - ironically enough, they were reviewing Russian this week - and pulled away from Kieera. "I'll see you all in CoveOps." She gave them a quick smile before disappearing into her classroom.

Jack smiled softly and shrugged, moving to wrap his arm around her again and start walking towards their class. "When Ace found out, he started calling me Gus," he told her with a laugh. "Thought he was totally original." He shook his head, stopping outside of his classroom slowly. "I just wanted you to know, before we dug into each other's files."

message 467: by Whitnee (last edited Mar 12, 2014 05:27PM) (new)

Whitnee The weekend seemed to come faster than any of the students were prepared for. Kieera sat next to her suitcase located on her bed. She waited for her roommates to patiently gather everything together. She felt so nervous that she could possibly cry but how could she go out and see her friends with bloodshot eyes.

The guys remained in their dorm room. Lincoln awaiting to go. And he was happy that Demitri wasn't going. Even though Demitri and Effie were getting close. It pissed him off n

(It sucks! I'm sorry!)

message 468: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (No no it's okay! It doesn't suck :) I understand you're busy)

Bex was throwing things all over the room, still trying to finish packing as she muttered under her breath. Her and Zander were officially going on a date, and a date to a ball. This was a huge deal for her, something she never took lightly.
Effie, meanwhile, laid on the floor, right in the middle of where Bex's tunnel vision in an attempt to get her to slow down. "Chelle, it's just the weekend. All you need is a pair of shorts and some high heels." She honestly couldn't care less about this mission; the only thing she was dreading was the whole gown part.
"It could last way longer!" Bex reasoned, throwing another pair of shoes into her bag. "We have no idea how long this is going to take! I have to be prepared for anything."

"We ready to go?" Jack asked as he stood by the doorway, a duffle bag hanging over his shoulder. It was early, early enough for Ace to still be half asleep as he sat on his bed, despite how anxious they all were. It was their first real mission, something the agencies would look at for reference in the future, so everything had to be done right.
"Let's just go," Ace said with a loud yawn, leaving the dorm and shuffling down the hall towards the lobby.

message 469: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (It's almost time to take the kid home. And then I will be doing some hair but I am going to post in between.)

Gewls threw a couple more shirts into her bag, before she finally gave everyone a big smile. "I am so ready for this! And I get to ride with Jack." She was so excited she could hardly contain herself though she could see that jieera wasn't at all ready to go. She felt bad for her beig so stressed out.

Lincoln followed them out feeling super irritable whole Zander recollected on what had happened when he asked out Bex. It had been an entire week of trying toget her with different moves. But finally, he landed her as a date and Franky… was unhappy.

message 470: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (I have to get dinner here soon, so I might not reply right away)

"Alright, I think we're good," Bex said finally as she observed her over-stuffed suitcase before zipping it up.
Effie groaned loudly before standing up. "Finally," she said quietly, grabbing her suitcase and heading towards the door. She looked at Kieera. "C'mon. I packed what's left of the vodka. It's like liquid courage." She gave her a wink and a smile, holding her hand out for the small, nervous girl.

"How did Franky take the news?" Ace asked, yawning once more once they reached the foyer. He dropped his bag with a loud thud, glancing around in search of the Headmistress and Headmaster, but they were probably going to pull some wizard-like crap and show up just as the girls did.
Jack looked at Zander, waiting for an answer. They had yet to hear the story, and they were waiting to hear about the drama.

message 471: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Okay :/ I'll survive. :) well, I'll try.)

Kieera finally pulled herself off of her bed, grabbing her suitcase. "I'm not sure how that's going to go. But okay." She would drink if it came down to it. She guessed that she was a funny drunk or something because since that one night Effie had pushed it. She was though… very out of her shell when she was doing crazy things like drinking. Just ask Ace. He knew all about it.
Gewls gave them another big bright smile. "I am so… you know?" She couldn't help but feel like the world was just great.

Zander set his bags down. "Let's just say I'm not getting any anytime soon." He didn't care though. Franky wasn't in shape to be doing that stuff anyways. She was freaking pissed as hell and she said she was going to say goodbye but he hadnt really talked to her since.
"Demitri is an asshole." link mumbled. Though they were focusing on Zander he was mad.

message 472: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (I'm back, sorry it took so long. Decided I needed ice cream with my pasta :D)

Effie started out the door first, her shorts super short and her heels super tall as she headed down the hall, Bex linking her arm through hers. "Yes, I know," Bex said to Gewls with a light laugh. "I totally get it."
Starting down the stairs, Effie sneered. "I don't." She didn't understand the excitement at all. Then again, she wasn't ever excited by much.

"At least not from Franky," Jack muttered, spinning when he heard footsteps down the stairs. His jaw nearly dropped; it was like Effie and Bex had given their middle finger to the school rules now that they were going off campus, because whatever they were wearing... It definitely wasn't regulation.
Ace just looked over at Link with a raised brow. "What did he do this time?"

message 473: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Haha it's fine. I hope dinner was fabulous!)

Of course Kieera wasn't dressed like a hoe, well neither was Bex or Effie. They were just dressed like thy were going to party. Kieera wore a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Though, outside of school, she would wear longer sleeved shirts and long pants to cover up her scars from the years of cutting. One of her secrets and even know, she made sure she had a jacket on to hide her marks.
Gewls waved happily at everyone. "Jack!" She felt like she was becoming very weird about being with him. Especially when she had talked with one of the junior girls just yesterday. She said that when she watched Gewls with Jack she thought that she was too clingy.

Zander nodded. It was true but that wasnt a bad thing. Maybe not having any sex was a good thing.
"He looked at Effie like he could devour her." Link crossed his arms over his chest. Anger was consuming him and all he wanted was to kick some ass.

message 474: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (It was Noodles & Company so it was super good :D)

Bex and Effie reached the bottom of the stairs, and let go of each other just as Effie rested her arm on Link's shoulder, immediately cutting into their conversation. "You look at me like that all the time you don't see me complaining," Effie said with a grin at Link, and beside her Bex giggled.
Ace chuckled lightly before his eyes landed on Kieera, smiling at the sight of her. She was just in a t-shirt and jeans, but she still looked adorable and somehow completely stunning. "Hey there kiddo," he said with a chuckle.
Jack smiled widely at Gewls, immediately perking up when he saw her. He opened his arms, stepping towards her to pulled her in for a tight hug. "How're you?" he asked as he kissed the top of her head.

message 475: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Yummy! I'm sorry it's taking forever. I just finished colorin my mothers hair and my eight year old sisters. Gave her a shadow box with my extra color.)

Link gave her this look. "I don't stare a you like that." He snapped. Well, maybe be did but so what? He wasn't Demitri. He wasnt a hot Russian guy who gave Effie alcohol. He was just Lincoln. The boy who didn't know how to impress a girl without sounding like an asshole.
Zander gave Bex a little wave. She looked amazing today. He couldn't help but feel like she was something new. It was way different then looking at Franky who tried to hard to look sexy. "You're beautiful."
Kieera sighed a little bit. "Hey, Ace, how are you this morning?" She asked, setting her suitcase on the ground next to her feet. Of course, she zipped up her jacket, finally forcing a smile on her face.
Gewls wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm good. I just… you know, everything is crazy."

message 476: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (Oooooh sounds fun :))) you actually just remind me I need to touch up my roots so it'll match my dance wig. Gah I don't know if I can do it successfully on my own. Crazy idea: now that we have another pair of a girl and a boy, what if we added Franky and Demitri to the trip too? Or should we just keep them at the school?)

Effie just smiled her signature smile. "Yes you do. Can't figure out why, but you do." She moved, pulling her arm off of him just in time to see their headmistress and headmaster heading down the stairs towards them.
Bex blushed and gave him another punch in the shoulder. "Careful. Your girlfriend might find out about you complimenting me." She smiled but let out a quiet sigh, knowing perfectly well that Franky was furious with both of them. She'd tried to reassure her that they were just friends, that there was nothing going on between them, but even Bex didn't know that. Was he taking her to the ball as a friend? Did he want something more? Even further: did he want something more than just sex?
Ace gave her a questioning look, eyes doubtful as he examined the way she zipped up her hoodie and forced a smile. "You're still nervous about this whole thing, aren't you?"
"You shouldn't be nervous, Kieera," Headmistress Morgan cut in, giving the girl a polite smile as she patted her shoulder gently and turned to the rest of the kids. She counted all eight mentally before speaking. "I hope you have everything packed; we won't be bringing anything for you, you can't come back, and whatever you need you will have to buy."
Headmaster inserted himself in then. "Don't think you won't be unsupervised. We will have tails on you at all times. All the rules set in place in Harvey will still be active out in the field. All the rules," he emphasized, looking directly at Effie for a second.
"But," Morgan added, "As serious as this mission is, it is a privilege for all of you to go, and we expect you to have some fun with it. Just... nothing illegal." Again, her eyes landed on Effie, who let out a loud groan of annoyance.

message 477: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (I'm glad I did. :) haha, I was actually thinking about that earlier. Yes, we should have Franky and Demitri show up. But just later though. It'll be a surprise that ruins othe surprises :) )

Link didn't want to believe what she was saying so he shook his head and moved towards the wall. He refused to smile and e a happy guy when he knew that she was still friends with Demitri. That's right, he was going to be a jack ass just because he could. "Oh fun." He realized the headmistress and master were around. Made it easier for everyone to leave.
"I'm not nervous." Kieera replied, shoving her hands into her pockets. She felt so tired because she had stayed up all night just thinking about eerything and how the school was granting her an opportunity. She gave out a sigh and listened carefully to all instructions given to them.
Zander chewed on his lip, waiting for them to get keys or something so they could go.

message 478: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (I love the way you think :D)

The headmistress looked at all their faces, knowing they were all eager to get out of the house - apart from Kieera of course; she looked like she was turning green - and let out a light sigh before saying, "The ball is in Denver, so it's about a two hour drive, and because of budget cuts we only have one car instead of two." She pulled out a pair of keys, tossing them to Bex who caught them swiftly and smiled excitedly. "Like I said, you will have a tail that will be following your every move, and if you so much as gesture down the wrong road, you will be brought back to the school and given at least a month's worth of detention," she threatened, and Jack could feel it in his gut that they were serious.
"But have fun!" Headmaster said enthusiastically, and as if they could tell that was their cue, Bex and Effie grabbed their bags and bolted out the front door of the school, straight to the black SUV. By the time they'd reached the doors to it, Effie had nearly broken Bex's hand was was sitting in the driver's seat.
"You're going to pay for that," Bex threatened lightly, but she was more than happy to let her drive. Driving wasn't her thing. It terrified her, which was totally unreasonable since it wasn't her parents' deaths that had been staged as a car accident.
Jack followed out behind them, his hand laced through Gewls as he pulled her along. "Judging by the nice Cadillac, our aliases aren't ridiculously poor," he noted aloud, almost forgetting the fact they had new files with new identities they had to memorize before the ball tomorrow night. He stopped by the door, holding it open first for Gewls.
Ace stayed behind as he rested his chin on Kieera's shoulder and made whiny puppy dog noses and batted his eyes in an attempt to cheer her up. "I know something that'll make you smile," he said grinning at her as he grabbed his own and her bag and headed out to the car. "Wanna know how I earned the nickname Ace?"

message 479: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Ditto! I feel like this just keeps geting better and better! :) )

Link yanked his stuff off of the ground, clearly remembering his new Alias as being Geoffery Olds. Or Geoff. It remained the same this year as it did las year and for some odd reason, he felt at peace with it bein that way. He opened the back of the SUV and looked up, not in the students watching them from inside. "Let Effie know that's I migh be stealing some cigarette from her in the next five seconds and if she tries to rip by balls off I won't be able to help her make babies later." He tried to keep some humor in it as he spoke with Zander, who just nodded his head. It was safe to say that link had it had for Effie, and Demitri was going to be a target to destroy. He moved up to the front. "Who's sitting shotgun? I'll sit in the back, and I'm sure you'll want… I don't know. Maybe a Jack and Gewls can sit with day other. I know I don't want to sit between them." He might have sounded rude, but the idea of them beig all couple like with him there… just didn't sit right in his stomach.
Gewls squeezed Jack's hand for a moment. "I couldn't disagree with that. But I wonder how we are all related with each other." She wondered if someone was a cousin or a husband… it would be interesting to find out. Though other things were still weighing on her mind. Like Kieera. Or clingy.
Lincoln gave her a look. "You're my step sister alias wise. I read the papers."
Kieera hadnt even noticed him till moments later. "Oh… yeah, I'd like to know." She held her breath, waiting for him to move off her shoulder. What if she threw up because he made her nervous.

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Effie let out a light laugh as she spun around the driver's seat, giving Link a dangerous look before glancing at Jack, who'd hopped in the far back first. "You can let Link know that the only cigarettes I have on me are in my bra, and if he tries to go for them while I'm still sober, I'm ripping off a lot more than his balls." She flashed a smile before spinning back around, adjusting the mirrors and fixing her seat so she was close enough to drive.
"Ooh! Dibs!" Bex shouted quickly as she grabbed the door handle for the front seat, practically throwing herself in the car. She loved their little group, and she was thrilled to be going on a road trip with them.
Jack just glanced between Effie and Link for a split second before saying, "I'm not repeating that sentence out loud." He laughed at what Zan said, knowing perfectly well what he had meant by it, and patted the spot beside him as he looked at Gewls. "My file says that Bex and I are long distant cousins of some sort, and that I lost my leg in a gory incident in Egypt during a civil war," he announced, as if he was proud of it.
Ace smiled at her, tossing their suitcases in the the trunk. "I'll tell you once we all get in the car," he promised her, grabbing her hand quickly to pull her close to him. He leaned down swiftly, before he could talk himself out of it, and planted a kiss on her lips, and it wasn't until he pulled away that he remembered he hadn't kissed her since the truth or dare incident.

Whitnee "All I heard was while I am sober. I'm just trying to figure out what your reaction would be when you aren't sober. Maybe I'll just lose a finger." Link climbed into the very back with Jack and Gewls. It wouldn't be as bad as Zander thought it would be. If Zander had the chance he would probably be the one making out in the back. But jack and Gewls were such an innocent couple. At least it felt like that. They were pretty normal for being spies.
Zander got in behind Effie, buckling his seatbelt. He was scared for the junior girl to be driving. She was freaking crazy. But he tried to keep some amount of faith. He couldn't be scared.
Gewls patted his leg, well, not his prosthetic though she had seen him with it ever since she told him and she liked it. She thought he was sexy. Or at least it made him sexier because he survive cancer. "That's a nice back story." She opened her file. "I am Samantha Curtis and my best friend is Anya…" she loiked at Kieera who seemed to be floating on air as she climbed into the car.
But seconds before Kieera went and nodded along. Yeah, yeah she would have ace to be her friend and what not but she was so nervous. Everyone could read it like she was an open book. When Ace kissd her though- she felt indestructible. She couldn't move fast enough to the car.

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) "Guess you'll have to find that out for yourself," Effie muttered a reply to Link, flashing her bright blue eyes at him as he sat in the back. She looked at everyone who was now in the car and buckled up, and before she could even ask, she started it up and hit the gas, nearly screeching off the lot.
Bex, totally used to Effie's driving habits, pulled out the files she'd been given by Headmistress. "I'm Clara Bushwell, long distant cousin to Adam Rince, and I'm the shy daughter of a very rich oil industry owner from Nashville," she explained, attaching a very believable southern accent to the end of the sentence. "And Effie is..." Bex stopped, staring at Effie with wide eyes and a big smile as she read aloud. "You're Francesca Bailey, a duchess from Bristol." She couldn't help the laugh that escaped her lips, and Effie rolled her eyes as she pulled a cigarette out from her shirt and placed it between her lips.
"They couldn't have come up with a better name," she groaned. "Anything but Francesca."
Bex shrugged. "At least you don't have to worry about your accent, Duchess." She giggled as Effie slapped her arm.
"What's so funny about Francesca?" Jack whispered, and though he saw Effie's eyes on him in the review mirror, Ace was the one to answer.
"That's Franky's full name." Ace sat between Kieera and Zander, and though he felt completely awkward sitting between the girl he liked and her protective older brother, he didn't think twice about wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

Whitnee Link glanced up to see Effie's eyes on him but just for a moment then all of the sudden, she was slamming on the gas and he jerked back into the seat, sporting some amazing whip lash. "Effie, you need to drive more carefully. Now Ace, it's story time." He said very loudly, even though he knew he shouldn't have been listening in on the conversation between them.
Gewls slunk back into the seat, her eyes scanning the outside world as they began to drive. "Samantha Curtis from New Zealand. I'm not really good at accents…"
Kieera just listened to everyone else. What could she do other than that? She was going to wait patiently to listen to Ace story.

(It will be better in the next couple posts.)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Effie rolled her eyes in the mirror, deciding not to say anything ridiculously mean back. She could tell Link was on edge, ever since Demitri showed up, which made her wonder what the hell was going on. She could never imagine a guy like Link to be into her, let alone be jealous by someone else who was. So she kept her mouth shut, taking the lighter Bex was handing her and lit her cigarette.
"Story," Ace repeated hesitantly with a nod. Honestly, he was good at telling stories. If he went to a normal school, he'd probably be a total drama nerd. But instead, he was training to be a spy, where dramatic storytelling and re-enactment wasn't really a useful skill. "Right. Well, when I was about six years old, my parents through me this huge birthday party. And at the time, I was obsessed with magic and magicians, so being the stereotypical rich parents they were, they hired the best magician they could find for my birthday party. I was totally convinced everything they did was really, and I also believed I had whatever special powers they had. Like I thought I was better than Superman. So, the magician was doing his show or whatever, and then he asked for someone in the audience to come up and help him. And my hand shot up so fast I knocked some kid's cake out of his hands, and he started crying." He stifled a laugh; God, he was a horribly selfish child. "But anyway, I got up on stage with him and he asked me to pick a card. You know, the usual. So I pulled out the ace of spades. And after I put it back, he started coughing. Like, really, really badly. All the parents started getting concerned, and I was convinced that I had accidentally used my powers for evil instead of good and I had killed this man. But then he pulled a card out of his mouth - my card. The ace of spades. And I was so in love with the memory - not of my actual birthday, but of the fact that I had seen proof I really had powers and I could rub it in my family's face, that I had my mom frame this nasty, slimy card pulled out of some guy's throat and hang it in my room. My cousins never let me hear the end of it, so ever since I was six, they've been calling me Ace or sometimes Spade. I think some of my great-aunts and uncles and whatnot are convinced my actual name is Ace; no one's called me Sebastian or Carter in ages. Not even my parents."
Bex nearly choked on her gum as she held back a loud burst of laughter from the story. It was so peculiar, nothing like receiving a nickname that had just been running through the family. No, instead it involved six-year-old Ace's dream of having super powers. "That's actually quite adorable," Bex admitted with another laugh.

message 489: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee It felt like everyone sat in silence as this boy poured his heart out letting them know of his name. It was quite funny though, Kieera could almost imagine this awe struck child and how he was so excited for this magician to show up and blow him away. She leaned against him just for a moment afraid that he might move away, because Zander was right there but when he was more roused on the story, she felt this sigh of relief. (Is that considered godmoding). And once he as done, she couldn't help but smile. It was soft but definitely there from everything he had just opened up about. "You're so damn cute." She muttered, stopping a laugh when she heard Bex speak. It was more than true. Ace was so adorable it made her heart swell.
Zander crossed his arms, laying back against the seat to relax. He wasn about to say anything that would potentially cause a fight. "That's good. I like your nickname. It fits you." So he could be nice to the other guy. There wasnt a problem when to came to that. Was there? He didn't know. They were roommates before he even laid his eyes on Kieera.
Gewls giggled. "We'll arent you a cutie. If Kieera wasn't already super into you I woul consider." She teased, though her and Jack were official, she could joke with the other boys. Jack wasnt jealous… and he could trust her. "Any other interesting stories you got goin on inside of that head of yours?" She asked.
Lincoln leaned forward. "It's a good nickname. I used to be into the whole magic shit too it was fun while it lasted."

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) (Nah, it's not godmoding, don't worry about it :) take liberties; I do it all the time)

Ace couldn't help but laugh at all the attention he was getting, running his hand through his hair. He winked at Kieera before glancing back at Gewls and chuckling. "Yeah, I'm just a total ladies man. The kid who was convinced he was practically God until he turned thirteen." He shook his head slowly at Gewls's question, though he thought hard. "Well, there was one time Trip and I set my kitchen on fire..." he said hesitantly, but shook his head once more. "That's another story for another time. Someone else should go. Bex, we haven't heard much from you."
The blonde girl had been turned in her seat to stare at Ace while he told his story, at the the thought of all eyes on her, her eyes went wide and her cheeks turned red. "My life isn't very interesting..." she said quietly and forced a laugh. "I don't do anything fun." Effie let out a loud, blunt laugh but didn't say anything; of course she disagreed. She was friends with Effie; that alone made her life interesting, and not always in the best way. "Kieera, I think you should go."
Jack rolled his eyes at Gewls, knowing fully well that she was kidding. And despite what Ace had said, he really was a ladies man. They'd spent all four years of high school together as the best of friends; Ace was a charmer, and it surprised even Jack that he'd only had a total of two girlfriends.

message 493: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee (Okay, sounds good to me! I just feel like it's a sort of 'fill in the blank')

Gewls made this noise. "I definitely want to be hearing that story sometimes soon." She said with this serious look on her face as she leaned in to hear Kieera speak. The girl looked like she was about to shake like a leaf and pass.
Kieera almost shook her head, but changed her mind last second. "We'll, if you're sure." She laced her fingers together, glancing down at them. "It's not going to be funny either." She said, her voice so quiet it almost sounded like she was going to break. But these guys were her friends. Of they were getting there.
Zander looked around a ace at her. "Are you…?" He didn't know what to say. She was finally going to admit to others her problems.
"About a year ago, I almost succeeded with committing suicide for the second time in the same year." She breathed. It was so hard telling people you liked about how screwed up you were. "From a young age… I felt so numb… I just broke one day."
Zander sighed. "Listen, we should tell them something funny, like that one time you and I were playing when I tripped-"
"Zan…" Kieera cut him off. It must have been awkward for ace sittin right between them.

message 494: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Bex's eyes flashed between Effie and Kieera. They had a lot more in common than they each knew. But as she listened to Kieera's story, she felt almost nervous, as if she should say something to help, but nothing useful or not stereotypical came to mind, so she just stayed quiet.
Ace didn't even look at Zander when he tried to cut her off; his eyes never left Kieera's face as he reached down and grabbed her hand. He knew he had to talk to her, but later. Right now, though, he just squeezed her tiny hand to assure her that nothing could scare him away. He was in too deep.
Effie narrowed her eyes on the road, mentally debating whether or not she should speak up now or not in an attempt to make Kieera feel a little better and not like she was on a stage. She decided on later, when no one else was around to hear the secrets she had. She liked her secrets just where they were: buried. "Nothing says 'kiss my ass' more than recovering from depression and getting into the most elite school in the country," Effie told her with a light laugh, and Bex nodded in agreement and smiled at Kieera, hoping that what Effie said hadn't crossed that dangerous line.

message 495: by Whitnee (last edited Mar 14, 2014 01:07AM) (new)

Whitnee The atmosphere shifted in the car to an eery sense. At least, Gewls thought as she reached over and rubbed Kieera's back. It actually explained a lot. And helped open her yes to something different. She didn't think anything of her problems. Not until now. Kieera was a lot more deep than anyone thought.
"I don't know if I have ever recovered." Kieera mumbled, pulling up her hoodie sleeves to show Ace the horizontal scars. The ones that ran the way they should have gone if you wanted to get to the veins. "Sorry to kill the mood." She finally let out an awkward laugh. "I usually do stuff like that. Don't I, Zander?" She asked, watching her brothers face turn beet red
Zander shook his head. "The time isn't appropriate Kieera." He couldn't believe she had just said that.

message 496: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) As if there needed to be more reason to dislike Zander. Effie knew something had triggered whatever it was between Kieera and her brother, and her gut told her it wasn't Kieera's fault, but maybe they were about to find out.
Bex somehow, didn't feel surprised at the sight of Kieera's scared arms. She'd seen it before, of course, but that wasn't why. She'd seen depression; she'd lived with it for years. Her scars weren't on the outside; that didn't make them any less real. "Kieera, don't apologize for "killing the mood." We're all friends, yeah? We can tell each other anything, at any time."
Ace felt himself tense up beside a nervous-looking Zander at what Kieera had said to him, but still, his attention never wavered from Kieera. He needed her to know that this wasn't going to scare him away, that he wasn't suddenly grossed out or terrified or over-whelmed. He was here for her, and he would be an idiot to leave.
Jack stayed silent in the back seat, trying to sink himself lower into the leather interior. It wasn't that he felt awkward; it's that he had a different perspective on death than Kieera. Well, than mostly anyone else for that matter. He didn't have anything to contribute that wouldn't make the situation worse; telling her to "value her life" would definitely make him feel like shit. You couldn't just tell someone that.

message 497: by Whitnee (new)

Whitnee Gewls cleared her throat before finally speaking up, her hand, closing around Jack's. everyone in the car seemed like they were on edge for different reasons. "I… it's hard. I don't know exactly what it's like, but sometimes it think we are hit with different obstacles and it's difficult. But you have people that care about you. We're all here for you if you ever need to talk." She said to Kieera, trying to keep as gentle as possible.
"I know… well I know that now." Kieera finally looked up to meet Ace's gaze. "You sure this is something you wanna get with? I mean, my kissing skills might be pretty awesome, but I struggle elsewhere."
Zander sank Ito his seat. "I'm addicted to hmamkdbemm." He covered up the last word nmaybe they already knew. And he should get out it before it sucked anymore. Everyone already wasnt his biggest fan and he had to get along and live anyways. Though, sharin his secret would set both of them up for freedom.

message 498: by Rosaleen (new)

Rosaleen Gallagher (rlgallagher) Ace just grinned cutely and placed a small kiss on the top of her head. "I'm not going anywhere," he swore, wrapping his pinky around hers to make it an official pinky promise. "You're right though; you're kissing skills are superb," he agreed with another smile.
Bex glanced over at Zander, her brow furrowing in confusion. "You're addicted to what?" she asked, trying not to sound as judgmental as she thought; she didn't judge addictions - hell, look at her best friend - but whatever Zander had said, she wanted to know.
Effie felt nervous, sitting in a car full of people sharing their secrets. She grabbed another cigarette and lit it, keeping her mouth shut as she focused on driving and listened to what everyone else had to say.
