Re-read: Yay or Nay?

My last reread was The Lover's Dictionary which is easy since it's such a short read. Before that I did reread the first instalment of the Eragon series when the movie was about to be released. Otherwise, I've always been more focused on my TBR pile instead of rereads.
Although I am having this strong inclination towards rereading To Kill a Mockingbird before I pick up Go Set a Watchman. :D
I think rereading is fun if you really enjoy reading the book, and want to relive the experience. But I've always enjoyed reading something for the first time, so rereads aren't that appealing to me. Unless it's short, and really fun to read, then I won't mind doing it :)

• There no book to in my reading list. (Really boring). Sometimes I would choose my old books etc Enid Blyton series.
• The book is my favourite and I always random pick my favourite chapter to read.
• Sometimes I would go Wiki to refresh myself if there is upcoming book continuation. Well it's the same as reread right.
Then I hereby say that I would Yay for reread books! (´∀`)♡

1. I love rereading books especially when it comes to my favourite books but sometimes I also reread books that I think deserve 2nd opinion or perspective as I tend to overlook small issues that can lead to even bigger 'picture'.
These titles below always make me jump to my slanted shelf and grab them if im in the mood for them. They are like my spoiled golden babies.
i. Wonder by RJ Palacio. 3 times reread, cried hysterically every time.
ii. Aristotle and Dante discovers the secrets of the universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. (Makes me warm and all smiley silly)
iii. Mutts comic strips collection by Patrick McDonnel(Laugh everytime! awww-ing to adorable characters of Mooch and Earl!)
iv. Golden Boy by Abigail Tarttelin (The tragic is so good in this book)
2. I really want to reread The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and More Than This by Patrick Ness.
The Kite runner was my 1st english book that I read when I was in high school. Back then, I am not an avid reader and it took me 1 month or so to finish it. But, after half of the book it just sucked me in. I will pick it up again and just basking and swimming into the sea of its poetic and witty words.
More Than This by Patrick Ness is a 'deep' book for me. So, definitely gonna pick up this book later.
So yeah.

I loved this book too! the writing is so beautiful and the characters are really relatable too.

I know right? It was so GOOD and both of the characters are just adorable.
Same as SHY, I re-read books when the new one is coming out just to refresh some of the stuff happened in the previous one bc lately, I tend to stop reading series for awhile & come back years later so yeah..
I re-read my most fav books all the time (when I have free time or when I have limited my reading for the year)
my go-to reread book are:
1) Harry Potter series
2) Percy Jackson series
3) Lord of The Ring series
I think rereading is fun bc it just bring you back to the world that you obviously love and relive the experience or the journey when you first read them..
So, YAY for re-reading books..
P/S: I really need to re-read TMI books bc the tv show & I just need to remember some of the stuff happened in the first book :D

Books I reread the most: all Melina Marchetta's works, tbh. She's my ultimate favourite author, and I could probably quote The Piper's Son verbatim.
I do think rereads are beneficial bc you catch things you might have missed the first time, or the second, or the third even. I find new things with every Marchetta reread I did, believe it or not.
Right now I'm planning to reread the books I've read in 2012 because I might have been a tad generous with ratings back then, and I'd love to find out if my opinion on those books have changed since then. But this is ambitious of me, tho...

- Contengan jalanan by hlovate(a must read for ramadhan though)
- Kelabu by nadia khan
- Ungu karmila by ramlee awang murshid
- keys to the kingdom series by garth nix (my all time fav fantasy series!)

I recently read Philip Pullman's Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm just because I was in the mood for fairy tales (this was not a reread but hey we all know the stories already) :)
Anyway, will have to tone down the rereading or in some cases rerereading or I will never get through my huge TBR pile

So anyway, I don't really reread stuff, because there's like a big pile of unread books just sitting on the shelf watching me with puppy dog eyes wanting me to pick it up but if I do reread books, whether the books are amazing or I just want the old feels to come back.
Do you think rereading could be beneficial for readers?
-I think it is beneficial as it will let you understand the book more. Because you might've missed a few things on the first read or even the second. So rereading will get you to get the things you've missed.
What is(are) the book(s) that you wish you have the time to reread?
-ELEANOR AND PARK!
-The hunger games trilogy
-to all the boys ive loved before (and the sequel)
But I know that I will never have time for them because it will take forever to tone down my TBR pile :(

First, usually for those books that came in series and need to truly understand the storyline in case I didn't want to lose what I'm reading about (this ALWAYS happen to me!). Second, re-read those books that I really love the most!
Yeah for me, I'm gonna re-read The Hunger Games trilogy series! I really enjoy reading this series before its movies actually came out. And also Eragon's Inheritance Cycle tetralogy series! I would love to re-read these books.
Uh-oh this one book I really really want to re-read the most! It is The Book of Tomorrow by Cecelia Ahern. I found this book in my university library bookshelf and I didn't get to finish the book. Soon I'll find it somewhere no matter what.
Currently I've started to read again The Walking Dead comic series. I've been re-reading again The Walking Dead, Book One to refresh my memory a little bit. So now I'm on marathon to finish what I've missed and keep reading coz TWD comic is still being publish until now.
So, yay! :)

(1) When the new book is about to be released, so I feel the need to rehash my memories of the previous installments
(2) To visit my old favourites, just to see if my thoughts about them are fairly the same
Generally, I still love those books I reread, except the books from these two series: The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (I believe this series should've ended at book #3. What do you think?) and Percy Jackson & the Olympians by Rick Riordan (I love mythology but for some reasons, this series just didn't work for me).
At the moment, I'm half way through re-reading Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter. If anyone interested to do a readalong for the Song of Ice and Fire series after this, please let me know. I'm seriously looking forward to reread that one once again!
