Yes, once a SLOOP is in the 'bank' and - if you need to withdraw it - you may change it to another genre... as long as the book is 'tagged' as such.
We changed the rulings on the SALVOs. But the SLOOP rule has always been as is.
IN OTHER WORDS:
SLOOPs bank only one book which may use any genre it qualifies for.
SALVOs may only use genres that both books qualify for.

Besides the odds of largely popular books being shelved wrong, oftentimes it is very difficult to get a definitive genre on a book as many times it is down to how the publisher promotes it. We don't want to open that can of worm or we'll be determining that all the time, and where do we draw the line? Teams may use it to their advantage, if their conscience allows.
NEW CARDS:
Old hits & misses still count on the new card. (They will remain where they were.) Also, only ten squares will change on new card.
Please let me know within 24 hours if your team wants a new card this week. Remember, once you commit to the new card, you can't go back to the old card.
RULES REMINDER: The same person may NOT make one SALVO. (For example, I read Horror for 1/2 a SALVO last week, and then read another Horror for the other 1/2 of the SALVO this week.)
Team Black Pearl will be keeping its old card. :D
