I'm up to chapter 18 and I will post for the chapters before when I finish it but I have a VERY CRAZY theory that I couldn't wait to see if it was true before reading about the action unfolding so I'm acknowledging it (view spoiler)[ I think that Poison killed Laila. See we have both possible lives but what they do together in the possibility of Addie staying with her mom, Laila letting the air out of Poison's tires while Addie is with Duke and is distracting Poison or where they threaten him together , it just repeats in the possibility where Addie is with her dad, only Laila is doing all that alone cos in that possibility Laila is technically dead but in the real world she is still in fact alive so we get an "echo" sort of of her doing things in the other possibility. I dunno it's really confusing to explain but I have the feeling that it's Addie's absence from Laila's life will have a bad outcome. (hide spoiler)] But maybe I'm full of shit and way too excited for the outcome and the mystery to be something epic.

I had a bad vibe about Duke from the beginning but I also disliked Trevor (view spoiler)[ after the revelation that Duke had targeted her and persuaded her just for her ability and him being a fraud and hurting Trevor he just fell way below the like line. I love Trevor though. "Just promise me something.
