Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Don's looking over the probabilities of finding her dad again, and is justifying his actions...

Jarvis Don is different. He was mocked at his whole life. But with Rosie it was different. She never laughed at him. She liked him the way he was .... only except those meal and whiteboard schedules :)

Try this song... I guess it suits this book :)

Jarvis Have you read Pride and Prejudice?

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments No....but I plan to!!

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Wonderful! I love such soulful stuff! In the case of Don, instead of 'You took my heart away', it would be something like 'You generated a series of secretions in my body which gives one a feeling of what naive people generally term as love' Lol XD

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments I only partly agree with your opinion, he might be mocked at in social positions, true, but people also know him to be the genius that he is, and that they cannot dispense with his services and his efficiency. Even the dean knows, whatever he does, he is NEEDED!!

Jarvis Oh, I am really sorry! I missed the notif :(

Pride and Prejudice : I see some similarities in P&P and Rosie. Not comparing the two, but just similarities :)
P&P is my fav after Jane Eyre. Have you read Jane Eyre? :)

Jarvis Aditya wrote: "I only partly agree with your opinion, he might be mocked at in social positions, true, but people also know him to be the genius that he is, and that they cannot dispense with his services and his..."

Err, yeah, but still he felt bad when they laughed at him.... you remember that faculty ball episode. Everyone was laughing except Rosie and Gene. They were his only friends after Daphne.

Have you finished it? How much done?
In the end there is a reason why Rosie and Don were together even when they were complete opposite. I won't tell. Won't give out spoilers :P

Jarvis Aditya wrote: "Wonderful! I love such soulful stuff! In the case of Don, instead of 'You took my heart away', it would be something like 'You generated a series of secretions in my body which gives one a feeling ..."

Lol XD

But, what I am saying is, that this song is so perfect for the book, no? :P :P
So many reasons to love this book, but it is just too predictable :/

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments You completed the book? How many stars? I am unable to find 'many' reasons to like this book...Yeah, the song is good...
All these classics are on my tbr, maybe I should read Jane Eyre or something for my hundredth read, or if my friends recommend me something....
Now maybe this won't be a two-star read, or it might still be, I don't know, if that reason you mention is good enough or something... :)

Jarvis Hmm you finish it, then I will tell.... I finished it two days ago.... but didn't tell you since it was suppose to be a BR :)

You can read Jane Eyre ^_^
It is so good :')

I don't know if YOU will find that reason Good Enough to like it. :P
I said MANY reasons to love it because like I said, it reminds me so so many of my favorite songs and books. But it just reminds me. It is not as good as my favorite.... anyway... read at your own pace :D

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments I am unable to read much these days :'(
Fifteen or twenty mins.....can you believe it?!!!!!! 15 or 20 mins!!
Let's see...

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Hostel, you know...

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments How's your bro, btw?!

Jarvis Aditya wrote: "I am unable to read much these days :'(

I know :|
But it's not a problem. College is more important :)

Jarvis Aditya wrote: "How's your bro, btw?!"

He is fine. Language and food problems, but he has some north Indian friends now, so they adjust :)
College is fine for him. He usually gets time late at night, we usually talk then...

I get bored without him :/

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments He used to tease you a lot, I assume, then?!
You doing a Paper Towns BR?!

Jarvis Paper towns : yeah, but later if you don't want to read another Romance after Looking for Alaska.

Hmm.. not exactly. But used to tease each other a lot, but all our pranks were always together. And then he would do something so that he escapes and I am caught, and after that saves me as well :P :P
Only to show that I am the mastermind behind the pranks :D

Haha... it was so fun :)

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments :') That bro-sis love *sigh*
I would never really understand, being a single child, but I have my cousins... :')

Jarvis I can pull your leg and tease you if you want me to!! XD

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments No need, I do that to you already, you are our beloved Drama Queen, aren't you?! ;P
And, yeah, this is an unsatisfying book...-_- Almost 70% done...

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 919 comments You guys are impossible :O Never thought people will dislike Don this much :'(

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Sorry to dissapoint you, Harry! But, that's what I feel...

Jarvis Aditya, err, because I never reply back.... I can also irritate you :/ :\
What's happening in the story? :)

Harry.... knew that :'D
You like Don but not Darcy :(
Why? :(

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 919 comments Aditya : It's okay :) But I'm scared about how you'll feel about the ending :O

Ginny : Simply because you prefer Darcy to Don :/ :\ :| Hmpf

Jarvis I don't prefer a particular one. I am just saying that both are so similar and yet your views are so different that you gave 4 stars to one and DNF the other. Do you really expect me to like your favorite? :P :P

Hajarath Prasad Abburu (hajarath) | 919 comments Ginny : difference is this character has depth, a serious problem and a consistent behavior.. I can't say Darcy lacks these, because I haven't read the book. But the beginning was so drab, I slept in the first chapter itself :P :P

I hope you like my favorite but I don't expect so.. Because not everyone has good taste like me :P *runs away for life *

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments @HP You should actually do that... :P
I did not find Don to be consistent AT ALL!!! The way such a rational character changes under the influence of the cheesily called Rosie Effect...*sigh*
I can comment only when I finish this...
@Ginny It's been their day out in NY, Rosie style, for now...

Jarvis Harry, that because Rosie Project is from Don' sPOV. In PandP, Elizabethwas the narrator, tthat's why you didn't find that depth in it -_-

I finished it Harry... will rate and review later. Just hope I don't trash it :P :P

message 80: by Jarvis (last edited Jul 28, 2015 03:08AM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jarvis Aditya, oh closer to the end then :D
So, liking that change in behavior? :P

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments No, not at all...doesn't seem logical to me....agreed, it is love, and that itself is irrational, but Don is not a naive man, his condition is psychological, not an impulsive naivete, which can change that suddenly...

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments I don't know, the end better be good, maybe they won't marry at all or something, then can it make slight sense, or maybe no sense at all, depends on the author...

Jarvis Aditya wrote: "I don't know, the end better be good, maybe they won't marry at all or something, then can it make slight sense, or maybe no sense at all, depends on the author..."

Haha.... that possibility cracked me up!
Don't you think the story is tooo predictable! XD

What about Rosie?

Jarvis I have finally decided... 3.5 for this book!

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Rosie is the kind of feel-good, non-chalant girl this story needed, but the character is grossly under-explored, in my view...She is a jovial girl with all the positivity the story needed, but it's shallow

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments 3.5 is good...

Jarvis I think the story would have been better if a small part was from Rosie' s POV as well.

Reviewed it.

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments You might be right...sounds interesting...will read your review!

Jarvis At least we will know why she is so stubborn :/

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Right!

Jarvis Reading update? :P

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments This. Is. Frustrating. >=<

Jarvis Aww, cmon. You are close to the end now :-)

What's happening in the story now?

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments Don is watching ROMANTIC movies!!!! Oh god, I have an intense urge to DNF it!! But I won't, I will persevere...-_-

message 97: by Jarvis (last edited Jul 29, 2015 08:47AM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jarvis Lol! I told you... many more reasons to trash it... I didn't mention those XD

But you are so close to the finish line.... I am sure will be able to tolerate it :D :P

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments :(

Jarvis Stop sulking now!

message 100: by Aditya (new) - rated it 2 stars

Aditya Jain | 4115 comments No, I won't... until and unless...it improves, which is a bleak prospect...
