It is a really great book. I think A Storm of Swords is the best in the series and one of my all-time favorites.

No. The second book (A Clash of Kings) is my favorite (Of the series), followed by A Feast for Crows because we get my favorite character's POV.

But neither are my favorite book of all time even though they are excellent.

I got so bored after 1½ books I couldn't force myself to keep reading...

Personally I don't like them. uninspired story, not particularly good writing, far too many hours of my life spent on which colour various people's heraldic flags are when the person never appears again in the book.

There's far too much good fantasy in the world to waste time with boring books.
