Ah, so Nick hadn't told her about the--- Idetentay thing. Where for a while she had thought of herself as Gabriela From their first ever life time. And even if he had Blake had a feeling that she wouldn't of believed it anyways. Seeing as he was standing here telling her the truth and she wasn't believing him. Nodding to himself as he thought as she popped out of the room and to another part of the house. Walking to the door and then heading down the stairs. He could of popped out like she had but sense he was older and stronger then her. He always had to practice being human. Seeing as he did go out from time to time and it was good practice for when he did. So that he didn't have to constantly remind himself not to do cirten things. Heading down the stairs.



Nick had finished up in the kitchen and had also cleaned up the floor where the blood had spelt then after that had made a sandwich before going into the living room to watch some news and eat his lunch. Looking over when he heard Ruby pop into the room behind him. Turning his head and seeing her. She looked--- what was the right word? Not broken. But-- close to it. Like she had looked the first time he'd seen her. Well-- in this life time at least. Seeing as he couldn't speak for all the other life times. Closed off to feeling but not like she did when she didn't have her emotions on. It was something else. Setting his plate down and starting to get up to go to her.




Grace slowly nodded her head. She would feel better if he would talk to her about these things, seeing as then maybe she could help him deal with them and give ideas to better whatever it was. But he never did these days. Everything in the office was off limits to her, and mostly everyone else in The House. Seeing as he rather deal with them alone and in his own way. And she wouldn't push him about it either, not when she knew that this. The office. Was his place. His own little hide away. Although she couldn't say that she didn't have her own little hide a ways. Seeing as she did. Places she went when she needed time to think, or deal with something. "Okay, I'll come back a little before dinner..." She told him standing up and then starting for the door.

Ruby wiped her tears away from her face. Avery was going to be home soon and she had to put the shirt she gotten way back when. It was joke between Nick and her then, but now it was reality. She shifted her position seeing Nick coming and sighed. "Nick just go away right now. I don't want to deal with you right now or ever really. We have the understanding that I forgave you to an extent, but I still can't trust you ever again. Your a lying no good for nothing person. Who broke my trust and I won't ever trust you again. We play nice for Avery, but us isn't a thing. So don't come over here and comfort me like you care and love me. If you ever loved me you wouldn't have threaten to leave me." Ruby couldn't take it anymore. "I trusted you, I let you in, and you betrayed me. I wanted us and part me still does, but how? You ruined it." She was incredibly hurt. "You ruined us. How could you? You knew this was going to happen. We were supposed to get married, but now we aren't. I loved you so much you made me believe in love again." Tears ran down her face as she collapsed to the floor. "Why did you do it if you knew it was going to hurt me."



The office wasn't so much of a hide away of information, which is was, but he was hiding from the people of the pack, especially Grace. He knew the others in the pack didn't remember much, but he remembered everything he did. Grace didn't know that, he wasn't about to tell her. Eva and him had an affair, but it wasn't his fault he was under the wolvesbane and her control. So did all the other male wolves in the pack. She wanted to become pregnant and that she did. The worse thing is she transferred her unborn baby to someone. And he was trying to find out who before it was born. So far nothing though.

Nick stopped when she started talking. Feeling something like a whiplash land across his heart. Even though he knew that it no longer beat and it was inside his chest. Although right now it felt as if she had taken a knife and cut his chest open only to stab the same knife into his heart. It felt like this ever time they spoke about this. "Your right, you know. You've forgiven me to a point, and I know it's possible that you might never fully trust me again. And as much as I didn't like doing it to you, it seemed that there was no other way around it. No other way to get your emotions back on. Seeing as I had already exhausted everything else. I put my life at risk countless times, put Avery at risk after I explained why I had to do it. I talked to you, tired to get you see reason and so that you might turn them back on.... At that point I didn't know what else to try. I talked to Raven about ways, even tried to get her to come over-- to do something anything. But after we talked about it, we didn't like the outcome." He stopped thinking about how to go on and let out a heavy sigh. "Then, you ran away... no one knew were you'd gone. I couldn't track you, I tried. Then Blake called me telling me that you were at a hotel. And that, somehow, seeing as he didn't know how either at the time.... you'd lost your memories. You didn't think you were Ruby anymore. But were someone from one of our past lives.. according to Blake our first ever life time. Seeing as you were calling yourself Gabriela. I didn't understand how it had happened, so I talked to Blake, about it. Said that we'd have to try and get your real- this life time- memories back. I didn't want to tell you, I thought it would only upset you more. After running through some ideas on how to go about it, Blake got a phone call, he told me about it. Said that he had to leave for 'war' while I stayed with you. I haven't heard from him sense that day. When you woke up,--- I don't know how it happened. But you were this life time Ruby again." He told her.He hadn't wanted to tell her about the memory loss thing, thinking that it would only upset her more and she'd only become more angry at him. But now he didn't see a way around it.



Grace walked out he door, looking back only once before she shut the door to the office seeing a even more worried look on his face. Shutting the door softly. Then going to the kitchen to get some lunch. And see if she could help out later on with making dinner. Seeing as after her last appointment of the day which would be at 3o' clock. She wouldn't have anything else to do for the rest of the day and she needed something to do. Even if that was just to take her mind off of everything. Walking in and finding a couple of the other females in there as well also looking for something to drink or eat for lunch. But not saying anything as she approached.


((Maybe Eva transfused the unborn baby that she convinced to one of Grace's friends in the pack to hurt her even more even though she died.))

Ruby looked at him confused. "What does that have to do with anything I just said? You knew there was other ways to get my emotions on. I remember having my emotions off and you didn't do everything that you claim to have done. You could have done so much to hurt, but taking something like that and using it against me is crossing the line." Ruby snapped at him and shook her head. "Me loosing my memories don't have anything to do with you threatening to leave me. If that ever even in the happened in the first place." She took a step back. "This is just typical of you Nick, you always try to justify what you do me when there is no justification. Instead of trying to make things better you just give up and try to make it look like what you did was right." Ruby said looking down. "It seems to be like a human thing. I was wrong for falling for a stupid human. I was wrong for turning you. I was wrong about you." Ruby paused feeling broken and dead inside. This whole month Nick could have been trying to fix it slowly, but he hadn't. Ruby didn't want to walk a way she wanted him so desperately to try. "Stop justifying what you did and please try to make things right. I have kids to worry about." Ruby whispered sitting on the floor trying to calm herself down.

"How do you even know that I didn't? When they were off, you didn't give two shits about what any of us said or did. The only thing you cared about while they were shut off was judging people about what they had to say or yelling at them not to do what needed to be done or said. I know that first hand, as does Raven. You caused us out every chance you had," He snapped getting frustrated with her. "Maybe it doesn't, have anything to do with this but you at least desivre to know. Maybe it is, typical of me to do it. But I also wasn't raised to be a vampire. I was raised as a human. Just in case you forgot. And just for the fact, you didn't have to save me from that arrow, seeing as we both know who it was meant for. I was the one that took it though, to save your life. After that you could of left me to fend for myself or to die which ever would of come first. You want me to try and make things right between us, then how about actually considering listening to me when I have something important to tell you." He snapped not realizing the slip up at all. Shaking his head and turning so that he could go start emailing someone about the treaty. Again.

"Nick stop blaming everything on me. You always act like its my fault. It's your fault too." She snapped softly. Ruby's faced paled. Air wasn't reaching her lungs. Maybe Will was right Nick didn't love her. That conversation took place months ago, but when bad things happened conversations played on repeat feeding her inner demons. Making her feel worse about herself, making everything feel worse. Avery was going to be home soon she had to make her snack. She forced herself up off the floor and moved shakily to the kitchen. Making Avery the snack.

When Avery ran through the door to the house she ran to eat her snack smiling. Ruby snapped the shirt on to Avery. "Now go see daddy, he's been really busy today and daddy will love to see you." Avery smiled happily not knowing how to read the shirt she was wearing.

The shirt said. 'I'm not Lion. I'm going to be a big sister!' It was pink and white with a lion in the middle of. She ran into Nick's office. "Daddy." she hugged him tightly. "I missed you today daddy."

That had not how the talk was suppose to go... but, one thing had lead to another and now they were right back were they always ended up. It wasn't the fact that he didn't love her. He did. Deeply. Some days he couldn't even imagine his life without her in it. Or Avery for that matter. But that also didn't mean that when something went bad, they went really bad. And he had no idea on how to even go about fixing any of it. She wanted him to fix things between them but every time he opened his mouth to try and work things out with her--- it either came out wrong or they got into an argument about how things were suppose to be. Letting out a breath as he shut down the computer after sending out the last of the emails. Then looking up when Avery ran into the room, and hugged him. Hugging her back snugly to show that he had missed her too. "Hey, Princess... Daddy missed you too." Not catching the shirt yet.



((Oh idea, so how about... a couple comes into the clinic. And the girl tells Grace that she suspects that she's pregnant but she doesn't know how because they haven't done anything in order for her to be? And somehow Grace figures it out, and the girl is someone she's become really close to. And then she wants to tell Will about it but doesn't know how to approach the topic with him?))

"Daddy mommy gave me this new shirt. I don't know what it says. But i missed you today. I learned to count to 100." She giggled. "Mommy didn't look to well. Is mommy sick. She knew sometime her mom had anxiety attacks, but she didn't know what they were called

"Oh that's great, sweetie. Lets see, what does your new shirt say?" He asked as he sat her down on his knee so that he could read it for her. Feeling his mouth drop open slightly after a moment. It was the shirt that Ruby and him always joked about seeing as they hadn't really been ready for any more kids when they had received that one. So it had always been a running joke between them.

Avery titled her head some. "Daddy is everything okay?"she asked softly.

Ruby was waiting in the nursery for Nick. Hopefully they could apologize and fix their relationship for this little baby in her stomach.

"I- yeah honey. Lets go see mommy..." he told her forgetting all about reading her shirt. Knowing that Ruby would be waiting in the Nursery for them. Picking her up and carrying her up the stairs.

Avery nodded, but she was half tired. "Okay." She whispered softly.

Ruby notice them come and turned around. "I said something earlier, but you didn't catch it. I love you a lot Nick, but what you did hurt me on a different level. I don't want to fight and agrue. I can't that would put the baby at harm."

"I- you... when?" He said not knowing what to say first. Sitting Avery down on her feet. "I know, and I swear, I'm going to do my best to make it up to you... even if it takes this life time and the next to do it." He told her not knowing what else to say. Seeing as he he was planning on doing his best at making everything up to her, even if he couldn't this life time they had the rest of there lives for him to try.

Ruby looked down and shook her head. Her heart was blocked off from him or anyone. Avery started to cry because she was tired. Ruby picked her up and started to sooth her some. Sometimes she forgot that Avery was still just a little girl. "Nap time for you. We can discuss this when she's sleeping."

Nick nodded, he had almost forgotten that he had just carried her up the stairs. "Yeah, go get her down for her nap... I can wait.." He said letting them go seeing as Avery wouldn't understand what was going on if they started talking about it now. And they shouldn't be having this talk in front of her anyways. Starting to head over to the rocking chair that was in the room and sitting down in it. Looking around the room. It had been forever sense he'd been in here. The last time he'd been in here that he could remember was the last night that Avery had slept in her crib. Now they'd have a new little one to sleep in it.

Ruby set Avery down for her nap and walked back into the nursery. She looked at Nick and shook her head. "I love you, but I can't shake off what you did to me." Tears ran down her face. "Why can't you see that what you did can't be justified? I'm not sure if there's anything you can do make it up to me." Ruby looked down her wall enclosed her heart so she couldn't get hurt. "Maybe we should break up?" She didn't feel connected to Nick anymore she just felt betrayed by him. "Things aren't working out for us anymore." She wasn't going to try to work things out she was too afraid of getting hurt again. It killed her to even say those things. Feeling sick to her stomach from being so upset she ran to the toilet and vomited. Ruby needed to calm down this wasn't good for the baby.

((Sorry I haven't been on in a few days. I was sick for like three and then I haven't had the chance to get on today.))


Nick let out a breath, going in and holding back her hair for her as she threw up in the bathroom. Then got her a wash cloth so that she could whip around her mouth once she was done. "Here.. it'll help." He told her holding it out. They did have things to talk about it was no secret but this came first. Seeing as now they had a baby to think about and also Avery to think about as well. He knew that it was possible that she might never forgive him fully. Just like he knew that it was possible he could never do or say enough to make it up to her. Ever. But breaking up now wasn't the answer to this. Not even close. It was taking the easy way out. Not the right way out. This baby, deserved to know it's father. Just like Avery still deserved to have him in the picture.

Ruby took the washcloth and wiped her mouth. Her face was covered in sweat and it was very pasty. "Nick please just go. I don't want you anymore." That was the lie she wanted her and Nick to be back where they were, but what he did. She couldn't stop thinking about what he did it hurt her to even look at him. "What you did was wrong an abuse of my trust. You risked everything. Blake didn't even try to force my emotions on. You betrayed my trust just like Damon. Just like Blake. I want you out of my life and this house." Ruby leaned over the toilet and puked again clenching the toilet. She was finally breaking down, but it wasn't making things any better for her.

"Blake wasn't around so he couldn't. And I didn't know how to get in touch with him so that he could try to.. I know, and I feel horrible for doing so. No--- We have Avery to think about, and the baby. You can't do both, not while your carrying. It'll be too stressful. For you and the baby. I can start staying in one of the guest rooms down stairs, or by Avery's room so that way you don't have to see me as much. And I can get a job.. There's some places hiring around town, that I've noticed. And that will get me out of the house as well. But I'll still need time to work on my things that are in the office, and try and talk with the bored members. That way at least that way you wont have to see me as often. But I can't leave knowing that your carrying our child and me leaving will only make matters harder on you in the long run." He told her calmly. knowing that she was slowly starting to break down.

"I can do both and will do both." Ruby hissed. "You seem to get it you don't get to talk to the council because you wouldn't even be a royal. You'll just be a regular vampire." She wiped her mouth again. "We don't have anything to think about. You lost your chance to say we when you did what you did." She was trembling. Right now she needed Nick more than ever, but when he remembered her on how much he hurt her. Pushing herself off the floor. "I thought you were different, you made me believe in love. But that was foolish move to believe that you were different." Ruby ran back to the toilet and violently hurled in the toilet.

"Fine. Then I'll go talk to them like a normal vampire. Yes, we do. Things would be different if I did this five years ago. Five years ago we didn't have Avery to think about and you weren't carrying her baby brother or sister. But now we have them to think about above ourselves. As long as we live in the same house together with our children. We're still a 'We'. I know that I shouldn't of done it now. But at the time I didn't see another way. I couldn't get in touch with Blake. Avery was upset all the time, because you were always getting on her about something. So I lost it. I didn't know what else to say." he told her seeing as he didn't want to leave her. He didn't want it to end like this between them. Ever. Holding her hair back for her again. Then handing the wash cloth to her again. "How about this? I'll stay until the baby is born, and help you any way I can. But after the birth. If you still want me to leave, I will. I can't leave you like this,--"

Ruby wiped her mouth with the wash cloth and walked to her bed and plopped down. "I'm sorry I even mentioned the way I feel to you. I'll be sure that won't ever happen again. It's better for me to keep them in then ever tell you a word, because my feelings are insignificant and don't mean anything to you. Never had or never will. You took a broken girl and made her even more broken. There will never be a we. You and I are over." she hissed. Tears rolled down her face. Nick was her prince charming and hurt her so much more that Damon ever had. Ruby couldn't think about the fact she would do the same thing if positions would be reverse. She was so blinded by the pain that Ruby was preventing Nick from even trying to help her. Fear of Nick hurting her even more controlled her every move.

Nick kept his frustration inside knowing that if he showed it things would only get worse between them. Even if she didn't want to think of them as a 'us' or a 'we' any more. That was what they were still in his mind. Walking into the bedroom, her bedroom now. After she plopped down onto the bed, to either relax or hide from the fact that he was right. Seeing as he wanted; really wanted to help her. But he didn't have a clue how to now that she was shutting him out even more. Running a hand through his hair. "That's not true... yes. I've made mistakes through out all of this. And this one was the worst, I can expect that. But I've always cared about your feelings and how you felt." He told her, he knew it was a weak argument but it was the best he had at a time like this.

"If you cared then you shouldn't have done it." Ruby whispered softly. Ruby curled herself into a ball a wishing that he would just hold her to him like he normally did. "Your words mean are empty to me. I want you to try to make things right even if I push you away. This one time you really have to try, but you aren't. You can go away now." Ruby was tired of arguing with him she just wanted to see his actions already.


Emily walked into the clinic by herself. She wasn't sure if she was pregnant, because of the weird things that had been happening.

Nick was somewhat relived to hear that she wanted him to try even if she tried and pushed him away she still wanted him to try. Going and sitting down on the bed next to her and gently pulling her into this arms. Unsure how the action would be accepted. Rather or not she'd welcome it or take it as an insult of some kind or something else all together. But this time, and from now on. He knew that he'd have to try. Try his damn hardest to make it all up to her.


Grace was at her filing cabent putting some papers away when she saw Emily walk in. Finishing up with the last file then shutting it and walking over. "Emily, is everything okay? You sounded kind of worried when you asked about if you could come in.." She said. Emily and her had become friends. Close friends over the coarse of the past few months. So she hadn't had any problems sensing the worry in Emily's voice when she'd asked about coming in.

Ruby curled into him and listened to his heartbeat it was comforting. Something missing from it though it could have been because of the wall around her heart. Or maybe their connection was severed. "You can go now." Maybe she needed to loose him before she could have him fully again. Nothing was stopping any of them from dating different people. "I want you to be happy and right now we aren't happy, we have to find each other again."

"Yeah it's just I have been feeling weird lately." Emily said softly. "At first I thought I was pregnant, but strange things started to happen."

Nick nodded, he could agree with that. Not that he would go out a date. It would only cause questions form Avery. And put stress on her which she didn't need. Giving her a tight squeeze before letting go of her. "You deserve to be happy. Your right, we do need to find each other again, somehow." He told her already planing out what he'd start fixing for dinner seeing as it was his night to fix it.


Grace frowned slightly. It wasn't from being jealous if she was pregnant she would be happy and excited if Emily was. Leaning against one of the desks near by. "Like what? Do you have any reason to think you could be pregnant? Seeing as it is still mating season and--" She let it drop. It was a little late by now but every once in a while a couple still came in asking about rather the girl was carrying or not.

Ruby nodded her head and backed away from him. Tears rolled down her face. Ruby blinked to her quiet place she needed some time alone from him. "Blake I need to talk to you. I know I love him, but right now I don't feel that towards him." Ruby whispered.

"I don't know just weird things have been happening." Emily shrugged she couldn't really find words to explain it to her. "No, we didn't do anything lately if that's what you mean."

Blake heard and blinked to where he knew her 'get away for quite time' spot was. And even if he hadn't he'd be able to trace her down. Sitting down next to her. Then waited for her to start talking, to him. Seeing as he knew that she'd want to start in her own time without being rushed.



Grace nodded, standing up again. "Okay.. yeah that was what I was getting at. Well lets go and I can check you out. See if we can't find what's up. How have your emotions been lately? Stable? Or a little shaky?"

Ruby looked at Blake. "I'm loosing him." she whispered softly. "I don't feel anything for him. Is something wrong with me? I love him, but after what he did it's hard for me not to think." Ruby sat up looking at Blake. "Blake what's wrong with me? Am I falling out of love with him? I don't want to. I really do love him, but I'm just so numb inside."


Emily shook her head. "Grace I know your not a healer, but you know emotions are so stereotypical right? No they haven't been."

"What he did, caused you a great pain. Much like a trauma would to someone else. It's going to take time for you to recover from that, I don't think you're falling out of love with him. But I don't pretend to know how you feel and how deeply the pain of this is for you." He slowly said, trying to come up with more then that for her.



"I know, and I don't pretend to be a healer. But after so many months of being around and telling mates that they're having a baby I've kind of picked up on things I should ask. That's all. So shall we?" She said waving to the examining room.

Ruby looked down tears falling down her face. "I don't see the Nick I knew. I don't see the person I love. I see the person who used my biggest fear against me. Blake please can you make me feel better." Blake always knew how to make her feel better, she just wanted to feel something for Nick.

"Grace that's still stereotypical though. That's like a guy saying oh your emotional because your on your period." Emily rolled her eyes.

"I could try, but I can't promise anything..." He told her not wanting to push things the wrong way. "How about, we try and do some meditation? Then we can go on from there," He told her seeing as he needed her mind clear.



"I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to come off that way. It's just been so busy around here and kind of stressful. But this isn't about me or anything that has been going on lately. It's about you. So how about we do an ultrasound to see what's going on?"

Ruby looked at him and nodded her head some. "Meditation sounds good." she lied she knew she couldn't clear here mind. "I need a fix now Blake. I can't clear my mind. I just want you to fix it. Or I will." Ruby knew that her magic wasn't fully matured yet.

Emily smiled a little bit. "Maybe you should take a break Grace and let's talk about what's going on with you."

"Very well then. Did you tell him that your pregnant already? Seeing as if you have, I could try and determine the race of the baby, then we can try and see what we can do about how your feelings are. Seeing as it could be a small part of the race or sex of the child to be a factor in this, it's unlikely but still something to consider." He told her.



Grace shook her head, giving her friend a small shake of her head. "No, it's okay. Really. Besides, you sounded really worried, and how are we going to find out what that is if we don't do a couple tests? I'll be fine." She told her not wanting to keep the topic on her. Plus if Emily really was pregnant then she needed to know. So that she and her mate could prep for the child before it arrived.

"The race he or she would be white. Do you mean species because that would be vampire Blake." Ruby looked at him confused. "You're really blaming how I feel due to the pregnancy?" She shook her head. "Blake just go." Ruby was done her solution to all of this was just give up. "I'm done. Elders you win Nick and I aren't together anymore. You win. Blake you win."

"No, Grace it isn't okay. You have been acting distant lately. I know your busy with this, but you should talk it all out." Emily said softly. "Everyone knows that Will isn't the same and that is taking a toll on you."

"I wasn't in this to win anything, Ruby. You should know that, I'm here because I care about you and want to help. Is it true that I've made mistakes? Yes. I wont pretend like I've never made mistakes. Am I possibly saying that part of your feelings could be due to the pregnancy? Yes. Do I think all of them are due to that? No. Not at all. Seeing as I expected that it would be hard on you to fully trust Nick again. But can the two of you work through this and become like you two were once before? I think you can even though it will take work. On both of your sides. As far as the species... it is but not very possible that it could not be vampire." He explained wanting her to understand him, without getting horribly mad at him.


Emily did make a point. She had been distant lately, where as she hadn't thought the others had picked up on it clearly Emily had. And that meant that some of the others could of as well by now. Giving a small nod, then letting out a sigh. "I know, it's just been hard lately. He doesn't talk to me about things as much anymore, and I can understand that some things he can't tell me. But even with little things he doesn't. And despite the time we've been together it feels like he doesn't trust me anymore, or he's hiding some secret from me. I don't know what to think anymore. Even when I offer to help with the selection of a new healer he shoos me away. We're not even sleeping in the same room anymore, Emily.."

Ruby looked at him. "I did nothing wrong, Blake. I shouldn't be saying sorry for anything. He took my biggest my fear and used it against me. He proceeds to tell him he did everything he possibly could. He didn't call you down. He didn't try hard enough instead he used it. Then he acts like what he did was right. It was wrong what he did was wrong. What he did was selfish and horrible. He was being selfish. He was desperate and selfish. And I would have done the same thing to get Nick back." She whispered as she wiped the tears off her face. "What do you mean it might not be vampire?"


"Did you try to plan a romantic night together?" Emily asked. "Possibly a romantic massage. If you could get his wolf out then maybe he will be more romantic." Emily sighed. "I don't know what you know about his Will's past, but let's just say us. I'm sure most us know about his past, but he tries to keeps it from you." Emily whispered. "So what do you know about his past?"

"I'll talk to him then. And I don't blame you, for this. None of it, but I didn't really make it easy to find me. For both of your protection. But that's a story for another time." He told her, softly, holding out his arms so that she could hug him. "It is, possible. But not very likely, that it is. But it's said, that when a vampire mates with a human. Even one that has been turned into a vampire. It's possible that the baby wont be a vampire. It'll be human. Or at least part human."



"I already tried that, it didn't work. The only thing that happened was me getting somewhat drunk and him carrying me back. I could try the message. But I highly doubt it would work..." She told her seeing as at this point she didn't know what else she could try. Nothing had worked. "Just what he's told me, that it wasn't always pretty. That he left his old pack because the alpha of it was crazy and did experiments on the members. He meet Raven and they were together for a little bit but it didn't work out. Then he came here, and we all know the rest."

Ruby looked at him. "That would explain why it showed up on the pregnancy test and why I didn't know right a way. A human pregnancy takes about month to show up." she whispered. "But my body isn't meant to carry a human child." She faced palmed herself. "Blake just check and get it over with." Why would the Elders let her get pregnant unless if she was the one who had controlled over that since she's an elder.

"Yeah so you don't much then. Will was a young child when his parents died. He was left homeless then came lone wolf who changed him. Eventually the alpha led to believe his daughter was her sister. Which wasn't the case at all. He didn't find this out until later. From day one he was trained as the guard of prisoners. Training for that is super hard and they break you down. My father was a guard of prisoners." Emily whispered. "Anyways what's every going on is probably caused by his training."

"I've already checked. You are in fact pregnant, as it would make sense as you've said. Although unlike a human pregnancy the time limit would remain the same. If that is the case and you are in fact having a human child." He explained. "The reason you've been able to get pregnant is because your an elder. So you have the chose. Although it's always possible that the older Elders could over rule you. But they haven't." He said explaining how she was able to get pregnant without being given permission.


Grace nodded. Maybe it was. But she still thought it was due to something else. But for now she would take Emily's word for it. "Maybe, I'll try speaking with him about it. See if it's linked to that. Thank you Emily, it's really helped talking about this with someone. I'm sorry about your father, I didn't know."

"I know that I am pregnant Blake, I want you check the species of the baby. So your saying that I will carry the baby for 9 months unlike Avery?" She asked softly unsure what he meant by that.

"It's okay, I didn't really know him. Mother left before I was born because it was too dangerous." Emily shurrged her shoulders.

Blake nodded. "Very well. can you lift your shirt up slightly so that I can try and get a better read on it? No, the baby will grow at the same pace that Avery did. So you'll have a normal vampire pregnancy. And you wont be carrying for nine months." he told her resting a hand on her stomach and closed his eyes to try and read the species of the baby.


Grace could understand that she would do the same, if she thought it could be a danger to her unborn child. "I can understand... " She said giving Emily a comforting smile. "I hate to change the subject, but--- what does Nate think of all of this?"

"Blake how is that possible. A human baby takes 9 months to grow. I have been pregnant for a month already and I just started having symptoms. Which means the baby isn't growing like Avery that's impossible because it would be human." It took Avery a day something felt off. "Blake your not telling me something. You and I both know that a human baby takes 9 months to grow. We both know if the baby comes as fast as Avery did I will lose the baby." Ruby didn't normally fight Blake's information, but something about this seem really off about this.

"Nate just shakes the weird things off." Emily said sofly.

"Maybe not exactly like a vampire one.. But now that you know that your pregnant it will began to speed up. Yes, human babies take 9 months to grow. We both know that. But it's not quite the same, with vampires. When human babies, or in some cases half human babies. Are born to two vampire parents, they tend to grow faster due to the vampire female body. You and Nick both drink blood, that will both effect the baby's growth as well." He went on to explain.

Grace nodded, that made sense. Nate wasn't one to give a second thought to something strange. So that did make sense, but it also had to be hard on Emily as well. Seeing as until up to today she had been in this alone. "That has to be hard on you,--- maybe we should take a couple of screenings, then I can tell you what's going on."

Ruby looked at him and looked down she nodded her head. "Tell me the species now." she hissed she didn't fully believe what Blake was saying something just seemed off, but she couldn't seem to shake it off fully.

Emily shook her head. "It hasn't been hard on me. I'm just worried that something seriously bad is going on." she said.

Blake nodded, as he finished sensing what the species was. And took his hand away to rest back by his side. Letting out a breath. "Human. It's going to be a human baby." He told her, slowly. "I know you don't believe everything I'm telling you. But I'm just telling you all I know of this. Seeing as there's only been one other human born to a vampire couple in the full time that I've been a Elder. And I was not aware of all the details, I just read over the reports and the details. So everything I've told you, is everything I know."


Grace was surprised that it hadn't been hard on her at all. It would of been on her if the roles were revised. Letting out a breath. "Then lets get the tests done so that I can tell you what is going on and so that you don't have to be worried anymore."

Ruby backed away quickly knowing what was on that report without seeing it. "Let me guess the Elder's killed it?" Ruby whispered softly looking down at her stomach. "No I don't trust you because your an elder and you were my friend." She snapped.

Emily nodded and sat on the table. "To be honest we don't want kids right now you know. That's why we haven't done anything"

"Yes. They saw it as a threat. But that was also close to a million years ago, things change in that kind of time. And before I was an Elder, I was your friend. And hope to remain so. Seeing as I know how much you want a big family with Nick, and I will do everything in my power to see to it that this child that your carrying is protected. And safe. I was telling the truth, when I told you all I did was read the reports and the details of it. At that point in time I did not have a say in what happened to the child seeing as I was not on the bored of Elders. I was just a little older then you are now."



Grace knew, that. Emily and her had talked about this kind of thing before. Just like Emily knew she was hoping for kids soon but Will didn't want them yet. "I know Em... just try not to worry too much. Let's just see what the results say." She said starting to get everything ready.
