Ruby smiled as she took the medicine "That's my big girl." She hugged Avery tightly. "Mommy is very sorry for getting so upset at you. You did nothing wrong sweetie." She whispered softly.

"It's okay Mommy." Avery said wrapping her arms around her mother.

"We need to get you ready for bed." She picked up her up and started to head up the stairs to her bedroom. She grabbed a pink onesie and started to run a bubble bath for Avery. Giving Avery a bath was easy and getting her to fall asleep was even easier. After the days events she plopped down on her bed and turned over to Nick. "How's my King doing?"

Will shook his head again. "Grace you and I both know you would do anything in your power to find the witch and save me. You don't have to lie to yourself."

Nick had watched the two of them, and then had headed up to their bedroom to meet her in there once she had given Avery a bath and got her to bed. Proping himself up on an elbow when she came in and laid down next to him. Giving her a sexy little smile. "Good, now that he has his queen next to him. So, how is my queen doing?"

Ruby smiled at him. "She's doing good and is more than ready for some adult time with her king." She whispered in his ear softly. "We don't have us time nearly enough." Nibbling his ear before pulling away. "What does the handsome sexy king has in store for us tonight?"

Nick smiled. He could agree with that, they didn't have nearly enough 'them' time anymore. Feeling her little nips at his ear and then asking what he had in store for them tonight. Giving her another sexy smirk. "Well, sense you asked... I was thinking a nice bubble bath with my queen so that we could relax and then maybe some--- fun time." He told her leaning forward and giving her a soft little kiss on her mouth.



She wasn't lying to herself. Or at least she didn't think she was. Seeing as she really truly believed that, she wouldn't be able to find the witch. Heck she didn't even know if she was still alive. It had been over a thousand years ago, that; that had supposedly happened. For all she knew the witch could be dead by now. And she'd be looking for a dead person. Thinking on her words for a moment.

Ruby blushed at his sexy smirk. Her heart thumped against her chest. Nick had way of making her feel like this everytime. His lips landed on hers and slowly kissed him back. Ruby was excited to have some time with him. Part of her felt like he was teasing her the way her nips to the ear did to him. "Mmmm" she whispered against his lips not wanting to pull away.


Will shook his head. "It doesn't matter." He said looking at her. "I should be getting back to Jason." He mumbled.

Nick smiled opening his eyes and glancing at her. Hearing a noise escape from her mouth. Laying another kiss on her then whispering against her mouth. "I'm going to go fill the tube up... see you in a minute." He told her sneaking another kiss before standing to go fill the tube up.



"Do you want me to come with you--- watch him while you work." She asked, she didn't want to just give up on them. Not yet at least. He'd already told her that it was possible that he wouldn't love her anymore, but that didn't mean that she was ready to assepct that. Or just roll over and give up either. Plus if she was going to be helping out with Jason then at least she deserved to meet him and maybe even watch him today while he worked.

Ruby frowned a moment when he backed away and sighed some. "Nick is the bath ready yet?" She asked him. Not waiting for answer she got up and starting to strip down. She put a bathrobe on and opened the door. The tub was filled with bubbles and she smiled her eyes looked up to Nick. Ruby opened the wine cooler and poor them a couple glasses of blood laced with wine and set it down. Not paying attention to Nick she threw her robe down to the floor and stepped into the water. The warm water melted against her tensed muscles.

"I have off today, his kindergarten registration is tomorrow though so if you want to come to that." He said. "I'm hoping him and Avery could be friends."

Nick grinned as she steeped in and saw her start relaxing as soon as the water hit her calf. Stripping down to nothing and then climbing in as well. Being careful not to steep on her and then sat down across from her. Seeing the blood laced wine on the little tables they had set up near the tube. Smiling at her as he picked up a glass and sipped from it before sitting it down back on the table. "So, how is my beautiful queen enjoying our bubble bath so far?"



She'd make note of that. Starting to walk with him, rather he liked it or not. "What time is registration? That would be nice... I think she would like a friend her age, to hang out with." She said thinking of Avery, and how she hardly knew anyone her age yet. Seeing as they'd be signing her up for kindergarten tomorrow too. Who knew? Maybe they'd even share the same class.

Ruby blushed and smiled and taking a sip of the blood laced wine. "It is really nice Nick." Ruby looked at Nick. "How's my sexy piece of man hunk doing?" She said moving her position to where she was resting against his chest. "I like this a lot Nick." Her muscles were tensed and needed to be loosen and this hot water was doing the trick. It also washed a lot of worries away too.

"10:00 am." Will said looking at Grace. "Do you just want to come back to the pack's house?" He asked softly.

Nick smiled, seeing her blush. Wrapping his arms around her waist softly as he leaned against the tube with her against his chest. It was nice, just to have this time together and not worry about anything. Feeling her along with himself relax. He hadn't even known how tense he'd been until now. "Me to... wonderful. We should try and do this more often..." He said leaning down and placing a kiss on top of her shoulder where the water hadn't touched yet.



Should she? After what he had told her about how he had planned on proposing to her there? But then again they weren't together anymore, and she did need to meet Jason if she was going to help out with him. Sense it would be kind of weird just to show up to his registration without knowing him and him not knowing her. Nodding after a minute. "yeah,-- that would be nice."

Ruby shivered at his touch and the kiss on shoulder. "That would be nice." She was really happy in this moment and didn't want it to end. "What is the fun that you have planned for us?" Taking a sip of the red drink. She completely relaxed against his. Ruby smiled softly and giggled a little. Since vampire didn't get drunk on regular acholol there was special wine that vampires made for themselves. "Is it something like this?" She kissed him softly on the lips.

Will looked at Grace and nodded. He kept walking and then stopped as he smelt a patch of wolvesbane. The thing is his body was still at war and his wolf could come out any time, like now. It wanted out and he knew Grace's wolf would smell the same thing.

Nick kissed her back, when she kissed him after asking what kind of 'fun' he had planned for them. Tasting the blood wine on her lips. He'd have to get her to tell him how to make the wine, or someone. So that way he could make some for them and they wouldn't have to find it someplace if she even bought the stuff. But he'd ask that later on. Relaxing even more. "Mmm, yeah it's like that." he said around the kiss.




Grace looked around them when she smelled wolvebane. It wasn't the most plesent of smells and sense she was kind of allergic to the stuff like most weres' where. She wasn't to ken on getting anywhere near the stuff.

Ruby smiled giggling a little bit as she took another sip. "Are you going to make me feel wonderful tonight?" She asked all giggly. The problem was she asked Damon that the same thing not even 48 hours earlier, but she didn't even remember that. Ruby looked at him all happy. She was getting a little drunk. "I wanna have some fun now."

Will looked the wolvebane it made his wolf want to come out. His eyes flashed blue as he stopped suddenly. He looked up at Grace.

Nick reached and took another sip, he wasn't to the point were he was feeling buzzed or anything yet unlike Ruby. Seeing as he was taller and had a lot more meat on him then she did. Even though he wasn't fat and his whole stomach was basically all abs. Smiling as he heard her giggle. He missed hearing that. Leaning down and placing a kiss on her again. "you do? Then I guess we'll start with that fun right now."


Grace looked at him when he stopped seeing a little flash of blue coming from his eyes. Wondering if it was his wolf trying to break out because of the Wolvesbane and it's closeness to them. Trying to stop her eyes from flashing purple but couldn't do it. Then looked at him as he turned to her.

Ruby kissed him back and giggled again. She looked up at him and smiled. "Yay we never have fun together we always are so tensed and worried." She sounded like a little kid deprived of something, but this was the girl who always used to light up around Nick and little bit of that was showing right now. Ruby closed the distance between Nick. "I miss us, most of the time we disagree and I just want us back." She whispered against his lips they weren't quite touching.

Will couldn't help himself he made one big movement and kissed Grace. His wolf wanted her wolf and it wasn't going to wait to get her.

Nick had missed this part of them. Being able to just talk without disagreeing all the time. Seeing as they had been doing a lot of that lately. And then that caused tension. So they hardly ever had them time anymore. Plus he had come to miss the light hearted Ruby that lite up around him and when something happened. "I miss us too.... " he whispered softly against her lips even though they were close enough to kiss they hadn't yet.


The impact wasn't strong enough to make her fall to the ground. Although they came close to it. Feeling her own wolf slip out and take over when he kissed her. Wrapping her arms around the back of his neck as they did. God, her wolf, along with herself had missed this. Just them. Being together... it had been so long sense they'd done anything like this. And then after everything she had been devastated and afraid that it would never happen again because he would break up with her. That at some point he wouldn't love her anymore. Kissing him back passionately.

Ruby smiled softly she could feel the warmth of his breath against his lips. "Nick your the only one I ever want." She kissed his lips softly and smiled. Her arms wrapped around his neck. "Nick I love you forever and always" Pulling away resting her forehead hoping he would make the first move. Just being this close gave her a tingling sensation through her body. Not kissing him again was making her anxious. "Please kiss me." Ruby asked him softly her voice had a hint of begging in.


Will had a little growl form in his throat as he pullef her closer. He kissed her a little bit harder and pushed her against a tree. His hands were shredding the back of her shirt. His lips managed to lead a trail of kisses to her neck and biting her neck softly.

((Heres my response to Ruby's thought she would freak out from what Damon did to her. I was thinking maybe Ruby would get pregnant again at the Blood Ceremony.))

Ruby looked at him and smiled. Her eyes widened and her vision changed again and all she saw was Damon kissing her. In reality it was Nick kissing her. "Don't stop Damon." She didn't see Nick she saw Damon and she quickly caught herself blinking. Tears ran down her face. "I'm sorry Nick. I really want to have sex with you, but I saw him kissing me. Please Nick please don't be upset. Could you please control me.." Ruby gulped she knew she wasn't ready. "I want to be ready."Tears ran down her face. "I always ruin our special moments" she grabbed her robe and ran into her bedroom crying.

Nick let her go, steeping out of the tube and wrapping a towel around his waist. Then walking into their bedroom. Seeing her crying, on the bed. Walking over and sitting down next to her, "I'm so sorry,-- I should of waited. I should of known that you wouldn't be fully recovered so fast, from what happened. It's my fault." he told her reaching out and playing with a strand of her hair. He did blame himself. For not being fast enough, for knowing that it would be too soon, but had still wanted to do something special. Letting out a sigh. "I'm not mad at you, you should know that."

Ruby shook her head crying. "Its my fault Nick I always ruin it. I ruined it last time and this time." Tears ran down her face. She couldn't help prevent herself from crying. "It's my fault. Everything is my fault. I shouldn't have slept with him. I shouldn't have told him that you didn't sleep with me like that anymore. Its my fault all my fault. You shouldn't even be here right now. Us isn't supposed to work out its going to fail."

Ruby crawled into him and curled into him. "I ruined our night again." She whispered softly her crying turned into sobs. "We were so close to do something and I really wanted to and its always a next time. I ruined it." She didn't blame Nick she felt as if she was fault.

Ruby shook her head. "Nick no its my fault. You didn't push me Nick. I want you so bad and I thought I could handle it. I thought I could handle it. Every time we try I mess things up. Last time the time before that. Its not alright how are we supposed to have a family if I can't even get sex right."

Ruby pulled away from Nick and walked over to her dresser and slipped into some comfortable clothing and walked to their balcony and jumped down gracefully. Ruby felt ashamed and somehow pushing away Nick was her first instinct. She knew she should have said something. She didn't want to be alone, but being near Nick made her feel worse. She was soon back in the forest where she saw Damon last. The sound of the fall of the rushed into her ears she looked at one tree and concentrated really hard on it until it was up flames. It had been awhile since she used any of her elemental powers, but it felt good. Ruby was going to burn this part of the forest down in the hopes that would burn the memories of Damon. Little did she known Will's new pack wasn't too far from this and that meant this very event could set off some chain reaction. Satisfied with the flames she quickly left an object came out of know where it was a werewolf and almost hit her. Ruby dodged out of the way.

Ruby hissed at the big white wolf. The wolf came at again swat her with a paw scratching her with his claws. This just made Ruby angry in returned she pushed fire against the wolf burning some of its fur she backed to the edge of the falls waiting for it to charge at her. The wolf angered by getting his fur burnt charged at her again before it could hit her Ruby slide to the side and it fell into the falls. Ruby made sure that wolf couldn't breathe she pushed the water on to him preventing him from returning to the surface. It started to down pour and the flames were quickly burning out. She killed a werewolf, but what worried her was the fact that she had what felt like more power to use when a a typical vampire would have burnt out by now.

Ruby quickly covered her scent forgetting about the blood trail for her cut in the shoulders. She returned home and sat on slumped against the front door. Damon would have burnt in the flames he wasn't coming back now for sure she thought to herself. The cut was really deep and Ruby swore loudly. Where did that werewolf come from and was there more? "Nick I need some blood and some bandages." She whispered.

Nick frowned as she went and jumped out the window knowing no harm would come to her thanks to their ability to jump from high places with grace and ease. Walking out to the balcony and watching as smoke rose into the air where the forest would be. Hopefully she'd see reason and stop it before everything burnt. Seeing a down pour of rain a few minutes later, and then the smoke was gone... feeling himself growl when he smelt her blood as she came back and rested against the front door. What the hell had happened?? Had she been attacked? He thought rushing into the bathroom and getting the bandages before hoping down from the balcony himself and walking to the front door where he knew she was. Seeing blood drip down her arm from a gash in her shoulder. Opening up the first aid kit and getting to work on it right away.

Ruby winced at the pain in her arm. She shook her head. "Nick I wanted to burn the part of the forest down in hopes to burn away the rest of his memories. Also it would insure him never returning." She sighed looking down. "It worked, but then a werewolf came out of no where and swat at me. I attacked him and pushed him under the water. I killed the werewolf." She hissed at the pain. "There's more werewolves in my territory. It attacked me first." Ruby bit her lip. "I still have more power used Nick I could feel it coursing through me. Like it wants out." She her eyes landed on a puddle and it started to bubble.

Nick knew that it would hurt, while he cleaned it out and then wrapped it up. Even vampires couldn't get away from the pain that cleaning out a cut that was bleeding caused. Listening to her as she spoke. "He wouldn't of been coming back anyways-- I made sure to make sure of that." he told her then heard about the power and the werewolves. Werewolves this close to vampire territory? Their territory no less. Did Will know about this? Or was it just some kind of misunderstanding with a pack that was new to the area that they hadn't heard about yet? Glancing over as he heard the puddle start to bubble. "Maybe we should talk to Raven about it--- see if she knows anything. Considering."

The bubbling stopped and the water was stagnant once again. Ruby looked up at him. "Will she even want to talk to me after I said those horrible things to her?" She said looking at him. Raven we need to talk about an issue that came about tonight an Elder situation. Ruby hoped Raven would respond to her. "I asked Raven about it I hope she will respond to me." Ruby whispered hissing again at the burning sensation in her arm. "I know Nick, but he was very alive to me despite being dead."

"I'm sure she'll respond seeing as it's about the possibility of you being an elder or not. I know baby... hold on." he said as he finished cleaning it out and started to wrap it up.



Raven heard Ruby's voice inside her head but she didn't answer. She couldn't. Not right now. She needed to see Derek make sure he was going to be okay and find out what had happened. Running to the front door and stubbing slightly before gaining her balance then walking in. Looking around frantic to see him. Seeing someone and running over, "Where is he?"

Will sighed and shook his head hoping Derek would make it, but wasn't sure if he would. "So what do you think Eva will he be okay?" Eva shrugged her shoulders not really sure.

"Will I'm doing the best I can do, but whoever did this to him had no intentions of him living. Your're lucky that he is even breathing." Eva said looking up at him. "Water is filled in his lungs and he has a bad burned. Go find who did this to him."

Will left the infirmary and paused for a few seconds. "Grace take a group of trackers to the top of the falls see if you can find any trails or scents now." A groupe of trackers gathered by Grace ready to follow her. Will quickly walked to Raven. "Don't say anything about Grace doesn't know." He hissed. "Someone started a fire Raven up at the falls Grace is using a group of trackers to see if she can find any scent. "Raven is here to help us with Eva. Go see Eva and she will put you to work."

Grace had somewhat gathered her composer. Seeing as she had smelt that it was her brother in there, but still had to hold it together because of her leadership of the pack. Seeing as she was technically the Alpha Female. Looking up, when Will came out saying that he wanted her to take a group of trackers to tray and catch a scent of who it might of been that did it to him. Glancing back at the one's that gathered behind her, putting a hand up to tell them she'd be a minute. Walking closer to him to have a word. "Just, tell me that he's going to be okay---- I don't want to loss my brother Will."

Ruby shook her head. Please Raven its important I need your help. There's a bottomless pit of power. Ruby said in her head. "I don't think she will talk to me." Ruby whispered looking down. "I'm worried about the wolves Nick they are in my territory." She paused. "We need to have an emergency meeting with the council. The wolves are in my territory"

Will shook his head. "I don't know Grace someone tried drowning him. He attacked somebody though, but the scent of it is gone. I'm hoping a blood trail at the fire. Raven you might want to go with Grace if its a vampire you might know who it is"

Nick let out a sigh as he finished wrapping her shoulder up. Packing up the first aid kit and shutting it. "Let's get back inside, then. Talk out what we need to do and what we should say to the council when we call the meeting."



Grace nodded, it hadn't been what she had wanted to hear. But knew that at least there was a chance. A slim- very slim chance. But maybe with some luck he'd pull through. "Okay,-- we'll see what we can find at the site." She said giving a nod then turning back to the trackers she was taking with her.


Raven looked around when she heard her name and that she might need to go with just in case she could recognize the smell seeing as it was vampire. She didn't want to, she wanted to see her mate. Make things right with them... but she also wanted to find who did this to him more. Looking to Grace who was the one in charge of leading them from the looks of it. "Okay.."

Ruby looked down and pushed herself up to her feet and sighed. "She's not answering me. You don't think she and Will know about these extra werewolves do you?"

Of the extra wolces caught on to a smell. "Guys I found a blood trail over here." Pointing to the trail of red liquid. "I don't have any scent. It looks like there's a pile of bones over there." He whispered. "I wonder what happened here."

"I don't think so, maybe she's just got something on her hands right now. I wouldn't worry about it." He told her even though he knew she would. Until she answered her about talking.




Grace had been trying to catch a scent. Any scent that might lead to who did this to her brother. So that she could get answers, on why. Although it was kind of hard doing seeing as the only thing she could smell was Will. Form the scent on his jacket and his scent was even in her hair from--- well what they'd been doing before the fire started. Hoping that the others couldn't tell and that it wasn't throwing off anyone elses' sense of smell like it was hers. Looking up and heading over when one of the other wolves called over that he'd found a blood trail. Running over to check it out. Seeing the pile of bones a little ways away.

Ruby nodded her head looking down some. "I'm sorry for burning the forest Nick. I was just so upset and ashamed at myself" Ruby whispered. "Damon isn't coming back his bones are burnt. He's gone, but he still haunts me." Ruby felt tears coming to her eyes. "I can't worry about it now. Call the meeting I have to get ready wear your suit. I'll see if my brother will watch Avery." Ruby said in commanding tone. "They know better then going on our territory."


"Does the blood trail have a scent you recognized Grace?" The werewolf asked. "How about you Raven?"

Nick didn't blame her. He didn't have the history she had with Damon with well- anyone in the human world and he didn't in the vampire one either. So he could only guess how she was feeling. "Okay-- I'll go change, then call your brother while you finish getting ready." Usually out of the two of them she took longer to get dressed and ready for big events. And calling a meeting like this- in the vampire world at least- was considered a big deal.



Grace shook her head, she could hardly make out anything still. Even though if she really contrasted she could smell something under the smell of Will. But it wasn't enough to give her any real information that counted as important. Turning to Raven.


Raven hadn't even bothered looking around the area for clues. She was here to get a scent. Get something that would lead them to who it was. Once she had walked over when she had been called however she had picked up on who the scent belonged to right away. It was faint. But it was still there under everything else. Ruby. She had done this. But why? That was the question. Had she killed someone and then burned the body? Had that been where the bones had come from? "Yeah, I recognize the scent.... I should go, try and talk to her. Get some answers.. " She didn't want to give away who it was. No matter how hurt she was by Ruby's words of hate earlier.

Ruby nodded looking at him she walked up to her closet and opened the door. She grabbed her red evening gown with the illusion top that was covered in jewels. Her bandages showed a little bit with it being sleeveless. It fit her just right she slid into her heals and poked some diamond ear rings in her ears. Finishing the look off with her strawberry colored hair in waves. Her eyes glanced at her crown and put it on. Tonight she was the one in power and she was going to make that very clear. The red dress contrasted nicely with her porcelain skin. She started to walk down the stairs and looked at Nick. "Is Chase coming Nick?"

Nick had gotten dressed in a hurry and then had gone down to call Chase. Explaining to him what had happened and how they were calling a meeting but needed him to watch Avery while they went. Hanging up once things were set up. Turning around just as she was coming down the stairs, he could of swore that his heart stopped for a few seconds. "He- yeah, he's coming.. " he said trying not to swallow his tongue. "Uh, you look beautiful..."



Raven glanced at Grace for permission. Then took off towards their house. Hoping they hadn't done anything rash. That would be bad. Knocking on the door a few minutes later.


Grace, wanted to know where the body had come from. Seeing as it looked fairly new. Despite all the burning and all. But knew that they wouldn't be getting answers from a pile of bones either. Plus she wanted to go back to see how her brother was doing. Thinking it all over for a minute then nodding. "Yes, Raven will want to come back as well. But she needs to do this first. She'll meet us back there. We need to get back and report, then I need to check on my brother."

Ruby blushed at Nick and looked down. "That must be him." Ruby said smiling as she knew Nick was looking at her every move. "I take it you like the dress." She said opening the door seeing Raven there instead of Chase. "Thank God you came. I thought you were upset at me. I'm so so sorry for all the things I said earlier I was just upset and I shouldn't have shut off my emotions. Come in we are having a council meeting tonight do you want to come?" Ruby asked. Not really sure on why she was here, but she did call for her.

Will looked at Derek and sided he hadn't shifted back to his normal self yet. He frowned knowing that was a bad sign. Eva was tending to his burns. He got up and walked their hunting grounds will have to be moved and they might have to move in closer. Will didn't like the vampires and would eventually run them out, but a war with a new pack wasn't going to get them no where.

The trackers nodded and started to head back to the pack. "Sir, we discovered this bones." He sat the bones down in front of Will. "We also caught a scent from a blood trail and Raven was going to check out the lead."

Raven shook her head. "No, I can't stay... I need to get back, but I need to know. Did you, throw a wolf off the cliff? A white one with a black paw?---- We found the blood trail," She explained.


They had decided to bring the bones back in the hopes of hopefully finding out who they had once been. Even though Grace highly doubted that they'd be able to find out who it was. but still had ordered them to be brought back for examination. Letting one of the trackers explain what was going on to Will while she went and sat by her brother in a lone chair that was by the bed. Resting a hand on his paw.

Ruby looked at her and shook her head no. "I didn't throw no wolf off the cliff. I did however I get attacked by a white wolf in a my own territory and it cornered me at the beginning of the falls after I attacked back. It charged at me and I simply moved out of the way." Ruby said looking at Raven. "It then fell into the rushing water where I pushed it down with water. The wolf had no business on my territory for one, but most of all it attacked me. I'm not going to let a wolf roam around this town. That's why I called the emergency council meeting. I know there's Grace, Will, and Derek, but neither of them would be stupid enough to attack me in my territory." Ruby said looking at Raven.

Derek just laid there.

"I'm trying everything I can Grace." Eva said looking at her.

"It was Derek,---- Will found him floating down stream and called me. We don't know why he attacked, because he hasn't woken up yet, as far as I know of. They wanted me to tell you that if he dies, and he doesn't make it- there's going to be war." It hurt like hell to say that, not only because she didn't want her mate to die. But also because Ruby was her friend. Although she couldn't tell her about the pack house, even though it was just outside of their territory. Just in case there was war, and she had to pick a side. She wanted the wolves to be as safe as possible, no matter how few of them she knew.



Grace nodded, not knowing what to say. She wanted her brother back. She wanted him to be okay, and the fact that he hadn't shifted back sense they'd left-- it wasn't looking good. Even she knew that. She didn't need to be a healer to know that. "Derek---- you can't do this. You need to make it through this, I still need my big brother..." She whispered resting her head on the table, next to his as she fought back tears. Tears of worry. Because she was afraid she was going to loss him.
