Nick let out another sigh crossing the kitchen and resting a hand on her shoulder when she went to do something else right away. "Yes, I know that I'll have to interdoce you as my mate, but that also doesn't mean that they'll believe us if we're not comfortable around each other. They'll expect us to be. And if I'm expected to show them magic and show them that I can control my element which I still don't know what it is yet..... I'm going to need you to help me learn the magic. The element part can come later...." He said not saying anything on the killing yet. Seeing as he didn't know what he could say to that.




Raven had left not long after Ruby had woken up. Seeing as if she really was going to help Grace despite how much she disliked the girl and how she had taken Will away from her, she didn't want to see Will hurt either. Getting in the car that she had drove there and headed home.

Ruby pulled away from him. "I can act you know." She said not wanting to speak to him wanting to cry. "Your element is the counter part of mine" She said. "But in this case that won't be true because I control two element water and fire." Pausing for second. "I will make sure to pick a pretty dress for the awakening stand by your side an act like a good submissive mate. Same with all the other events coming up. The first one will be King's ball which is something happens every year where the King and Queen's children meet the people. You will be expected to give speech at basically everyone of them." Part of her was upset because that was her duty not his. He wasn't even royal he was just her mate. "I will go sleep in one of the spare bedrooms tonight. As far as dinner goes I'm not hungry." She lied walking out of the kitchen. This was the worse birthday ever worse of all he didn't seem to care and he couldn't sweet talk her like all the other times.

Because if he knew that they weren't okay then things wouldn't feel right between them when they did it. Hearing the lie in her voice about her not being hungry when he could hear it that she was. Going after her, again. Catching her arm just as she would of entered the living room. "Strawberry... listen to me, please. This isn't right..... and not the way I wanted you to spend your birthday. Please, let me try and make it up to you."

You can't want to marry me one day and then turn around and say you don't and bring up some conversation that might have not even happen. It's your fault you rushed into the relationship. Nick held his hands part way up before letting them drop to his sides. "Where is this coming from? I didn't push you into this relationship, and I never tried to rush anything. I do care for you, hell Strawberry I love you. Do I want to marry you someday soon? Yes, I'd love to marry you so that I can call you my wife. But I also want to make things right between us before we do, an if you wanna have a redo, and start this whole thing over I will willingly do that too. Because I know it's my fault your upset. And I hate the fact that your upset and that I was the one to cause that. This morning, I had so many plans on how to surprise you for your birthday. She turned around let the tears quickly down her face she was trying to protect herself. She cared for Nick so much he made her believe in and see things that she never thought was possible.

Nick knew better than to believe everything that she'd just said. But that also knew that he knew better than to push her right now too. "I know, everything can't be fixed. Believe me, I do. But just because something bad goes bad doesn't mean that we can just walk away. Avery will know somethings wrong, if one of us walks out and never comes back... " He told her quietly not moving to touch her again. Seeing as he thought that would only cause more trouble. And right now neither one of them needed that. What they needed was to work out their problems together.

He knew that she was wrong, about Avery. Yes she might still be a baby but it didn't matter. She'd still know something was wrong, just as he knew that they had both wanted a child. After they had found out that she was carrying they had fallen in love with the idea of having a baby together. Shaking his head looking down at his feet. Walking back into the kitchen thinking that leaving her alone for a few would be the best idea. She needed time. Saying before he walked back into the kitchen. "Yeah, it can hurt you... but it can also be amazing. And you should know that no matter what I still do love you." Then walked back into the kitchen to start dinner.

Nick had already started cooking dinner. Despit the fact that she had said that she wasn't hungry. Plus he could stand to go for something himself come to think of it. He thought as he flipped on the stove and put some grease in the pan to cook some burgers. Going over and starting to cut up some makings for a salad. Seeing as he thought if nothing else she'd at least eat the salad. Or at least he hoped she would. Glancing in and seeing her by the door thinking. Wondering what she was thinking so hard about.

Ruby looked down she wanted to leave. "You can do better than me." She whispered. "You don't really want me. You can't really even love me." She whispered loud enough for him to hear. "So why should I stay where I'm not wanted." Tears sprang in her eyes. Nick didn't care. He always knew how to get her to stay and how to relax her, but right now he wasn't even trying to do that.

If I could take back the whole day I would in a second, and set it on a redo. Because you are wanted here, and I know for a fact I wont ever find anyone better than you." Looking in at her, and sensing her sadness. Starting to slowly walk into the living room and stood by her but not touching her seeing as she had already told him not to.

Nick studied her as she said that, he didn't really know how he always manged to calm her down and relax her. Ruby looked up at him. "Nick when was the last time you drank? You look paler. I tell you this all the time." She whispered softly changing the subject. "This can be our first lesson." She whispered. "Picture my hunger and your hunger together as one. It becomes unbearable. Just let it sink in for awhile. I don't think you have let go about being a vampire. This will help you relax and finally let go of your human side." Ruby said softly. "Your throat should start burning and you finally snap. Don't worry I'm not going to let you do anything bad." She knew she kept a lot from him and this was her way of moving on and teaching him everything he needed to know.Knowing perfectly well that his human side was amazing, but so was his vampire side. She loved both and needed to learn to control them both. "I'm so sorry for keeping this stuff from you. When the thrist is at its peak feed from me."

Nick had tried letting go of his human side so many times in the past, but it had just kept coming back. No matter how hard he had tired to push it away. Seeing as even with being a vampire he still cared for people. And wasn't curl or uncaring. Listening to her words and focusing on them, trying to do as she told him. To picture both their hungers together. And what he found when he finally found them and pictured them together, wasn't pretty in the least. It took him little under two minutes before his throat started burning for blood. But felt sure that she wouldn't let him do anything bad, seeing as he had done the same for her muntamil times. And now she was doing it in return. "It's okay, at least your telling me now." He told her as he looked at her wanting to make sure that it was really okay if he feed from her and that she wouldn't push him away the first time he put his lips to her neck to feed.

Ruby looked at him and got closer to him. "Its okay to care Nick that's what makes you so special. I love both sides of you, and you can control both of them." She whispered softly against his lips. "Being close to you probably is making your mouth water. Focus on my vein pumping in my neck. Let your vampire side take over." As much as she was upset at Nick she loved him so much and she knew he was different. She knew his parents thought he was player maybe he was, but this past year Nick was there for her and loved her. Every fiber in her body couldn't deny that.

Nick nodded giving a slight almost there smile. As she told him that caring was okay and that was what made him different. Reaching out the short distance and lightly holding her waist. Starting to lean down to her throat only pausing long enough to whisper in her ear. "If I start to hurt you, at all push me away and I'll stop." He didn't plan on hurting her seeing as he knew how to take blood from her or anyone else for that matter. But he hadn't taken from her in so long that he didn't know if it would hurt her once he started or not. Kissing her throat softly before letting his fangs sink into her throat.

Ruby's eyes widened as he bit her. She relaxed against him. He could do anything he want at this moment she wouldn't care. She wouldn't stop him first off he was really thirsty and his bites were always so addicting. "Don't stop." Her back curled into him. Ruby could feel the blood be drained. "Nick you don't have to stop." As he felt her feelings she felt his. He wanted her to submit or maybe she wanted that. At the moment she didn't care. After it bit it kinda hurt did he bite her harder. She wasn't everything was becoming blurred.

Nick could sense that she didn't want him to stop drinking from her, nor did she want to stop him. Even though he had told her to if it hurt her. Knowing that he'd have to stop soon, and that if he still needed blood he could always take more later on tonight. Sensing her feelings as he kept drinking, feeling that she wanted to submit to him. Pulling back a few moments later, and healing the bite mark with a kiss. Trailing a line of them up to her jaw bone. Asking in a whisper "Are you okay?"

Ruby didn't answer she couldn't everything felt great. "Yes." She managed to say her heart was pumped loudly. "Next lesson is deals with giving into your vampire side as well. Force me to submit to you. Take control of me." Her senses of reality were coming back to her a little bit, but this was an important lesson. She was addicted to Nick. if she would go way under his control she wouldn't be able to stop him and even could get addicted, but Ruby trusted him so much that he wouldn't do anything wrong. "Let go even further let your vampire side come out and play." Normally she wouldn't say something but being under just a little while clouded her judgment. "Contorl me fully. Let me please my mate."

Nick knew that, that was a very bad, bad idea. Yes he had allowed his vampire side to come out just so that he could feed from her. And also he hadn't feed in who knew when. Seeing as he hadn't feed at all during the time she had been pregnant with Avery, and had been to busy helping care for Avery sense she'd been born to even stop and feed. Even though he had known in the back of his mind that when he got pale enough Ruby would be on his case about not feeding. And she had been. But giving in fully to his vampire side after he had just fed from her, and she was like this... and controlling her... it wouldn't end well. He had put her under his control before and it had only lead to problems between them. And with everything that they had just discussed he didn't know if he was ready to risk that and have her get mad at him later on for something she had asked him to do. Kissing her forehead instead. Saying "I'm not sure that's the best idea..... maybe we should try something else that contains to being a vampire."

As nice as that sounded, he knew it was also a very bad idea. Seeing as the few times he had put her under his complete control things had gone--- bad to say the least. But then again she did have a point. Seeing as she had already explained the fact that he'd have to show them at the thing they'd be going to that he could control her and make her do as he wanted at any given time. And despite the first couple of times of putting her under he hoped this time would be better. Seeing as this time she was asking him to do it and he wasn't forcing her to do it. Sinking into the cousions on the coach, as she kissed him softly. Adjusting his hold on her so that she'd be more comfortable in his lap. "Okay." He told her as he lifted her chin up to look at him.

Maybe it was from the exhaustion, but it didn't matter. She felt guilty for not teaching or even treating him well. It was her job to make sure he was always happy. To make sure he is realxed. Relaxing on his lap. "You been so busy with everything stressed out. I'm going to make sure you let go and relax." Anticipating the moment she wouldn't think that she would do what he wanted at a snap. Deep down she thought she needed to do this to become a better mate.

She did have a point, between caring for Avery and everything else that had been going on lately they hadn't had much down time. And it had caused him a lot of stress as well. But that also didn't mean that he had every stopped caring or loving her either. Just like he was going to try and not overwhelm her with this so that when it was done and over with she'd be fine. And not be addicted to him like she had been in the past. Nor was he going to become addicted to controlling her. He thought as he studied her eyes, before leaning down and capturing her mouth in a kiss.

Ruby felt her mind go blank. Kissing him back. "Nick my love what shall I do too please you?" Whispering against his lips mindlessly. It didn't matter she would do it for him. A loud cry coming from Avery snapped her out of the state. "Nick I'm sorry I shouldn't have pushed in this. i need to check on Avery." Ruby felt awful about it. She was pushed him into that. She made him let go. If anything would have happened it would be her fault. Maybe it was better off if she leaved after all.

Nick shook his head to get himself out of the haze he had been in himself. Nodding his head, "Okay. You want me to come with you?" he asked letting go of her waist so that she could get up and go check on Avery. Seeing as if she didn't want him to come with her he could go and flip the burgers seeing as they should be done cooking on the one side by now.

She did say that she loved them both. Sighing some she jumped out their bedroom window. Crying loudly. The only solution for her was death she didn't deserve anyone.

Nick frowned. If anything the crying seemed to be getting louder, not softer. Seeing as whenever Ruby went up she was able to clam Avery in a matter of minutes. Stopping and really listening as he heard a yell from outside. Flashing out and around the house to see if he could find where it was coming from. Stopping dead when he saw her falling to the ground. Holding out his arms so that she'd drop right into them. Not caring if she noticed that he had appeared or not.

Ruby knew she would have landed on her feet and been okay. She looked at Nick and quickly got of his arms. She started walking away. Her heart was breaking she would never be good enough that's why she was going to find a wooden stake and stabbed herself through the heart. That way Nick and Avery would have a great life without her.

Nick frowned again as he watched her hop out of his arms and started walking away from him. Calling out before she was out of ear shot. "Why are you doing this? Ruby looked at him. Quickly stabbing herself in the heart, but she missed it by an inch. She fell to the ground. Hoping she was dead. She didn't want to be alive her family and everyone else deserved better than her.

Nick felt like he was going to die when he saw her stab herself with the make shift stake. But then heard her heart still beating. She'd missed it. By how much he didn't know and didn't want to know either. Seeing as he was just glad that she had and she would heal from the stab wound. Running over to her as she fell to the ground and rested her head in his lap, taking the stake in his hand and gently pulling it out. Knowing it would hurt her while he did so but at least she'd live. He thought as he tossed the thing away from them. "Babe...."

Ruby felt herself starting to heal. Looking at Nick. "I said not to save me. I don't want to love." She forced extreme amount of pressure on herself. "Don't Babe me." Her eyes wondered to his neck. She could feel his vampire high. Taking a deep breath she was keeping this side of her hidden. Maybe she should follow her own advice and let go. "Nick its hard to fight the vampire side. You can't fight for long. If I let go you might feel it to." Ruby was trying to be more human because that is what he thought she wanted. That's why she had been acting weird.

"You missed your heart... I'm just glad that you did and your going to be okay." He told her pushing a piece of hair back from her face. Knowing that she was right, he wouldn't be able to fight it forever. But at least she'd be okay and until then he'd fight it off.
