I'm the lamest buddy reader ever... I finished this today. Sorry Tommy!I'll post detailed thoughts later.

I read it when it was first released. I really enjoyed it, thought it very different and unique. I hadn't read anything else by Patrick Ness, though, so had nothing to compare it to.
Haha, I read 50 pages, but then went on just struggling to stay awake after work and now am attempting to write.So far I oddly have zero opinion. Very slow start, but I'm not disliking it.
I'll still discuss as if you weren't way ahead of the game haha.

It is a very slow start, but it does pick up eventually. The book actually has a great about of suspense and action in it.
Really good review Daniel! The ambiguousness of the novel was actually my favorite thing about it. I like thinking philosophically, though :)
