Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Tommy and I are starting a buddy read of More Than This by Patrick Ness today!

Everyone is welcome to join, and if you've already read it, please do share your thoughts with us!

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments I'm the lamest buddy reader ever... I finished this today. Sorry Tommy!
I'll post detailed thoughts later.
I still want to know what you think Tommy, so post your thoughts here and we'll discuss!

I read it when it was first released. I really enjoyed it, thought it very different and unique. I hadn't read anything else by Patrick Ness, though, so had nothing to compare it to.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Haha, I read 50 pages, but then went on just struggling to stay awake after work and now am attempting to write.

So far I oddly have zero opinion. Very slow start, but I'm not disliking it.

I'll still discuss as if you weren't way ahead of the game haha.

I'm gonna try to keep Chaos Walking and A Monster Calls as far from my mind as possible while reading haha.

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments It is a very slow start, but it does pick up eventually. The book actually has a great about of suspense and action in it.

Really good review Daniel! The ambiguousness of the novel was actually my favorite thing about it. I like thinking philosophically, though :)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I finished this morning. I didn't love it, and GOD, I wanted to, but it is a very, very easy book to praise. I read your review, Daniel, and first off, very good stuff, but also you pretty much described how I felt about the story as well.

I liked it, didn't love it. Really glad I read it, though.
