Moth and Spark Giveaway: "If you were a recently freed dragon, what's the first thing you'd do.

You may have noted that that is one word. I will leave it up to your imagination to come up with the second.

Visit cities, see the sights, scare some tourists.

I'd travel the world and amuse the tourists by posing on famous landmarks. I mean who wouldn't want a photo of a dragon riding the Great Sphinx of Giza or the Sydney Opera House?

I'd kill my captors cause chaining me up was a total dick move. Then I'd stretch my wings out and fly to Loch Ness and freak people out by folding my wings up, getting in the water and pretending to be Nessie for a while. I'd need some laughs after being locked up for so long.

Something I deserved? Strive to be better.
Was I persecuted or being a dragon? Burninate the countryside.

Then, it depends on what type of dragon I am:
If I were a Water Dragon (and in the US) I might see how much California and the other western states would pay for me to help out with the drought. Then on to Australia and the like.
If I were a Fire Breathing Dragon. I might hit the Con and Ren Fair circuit. Cut a deal with some sword makers -- can you imagine what folks would pay for a blade forged using real dragonfire?
Either way, I'd get an agent just in case there are any movie makers left that might want to go practical rather than CG now-a-days...
Hey, a lizard got to get gold for his horde somehow. Today's knights have more than just bows and swords and lances. The old "smash and grab" is just too risky.
I'd also plan to party my tail off the next Chinese New Year.

PS - as everyone else has said I would totally burn my captors... and may be the inland revenue. But I'd leave taking over the world to Pinky and The Brain

I fly.
As far and as fast and as high as I can. I fly until it's hard for regular mortals to breathe. I put myself into orbit, where the tears freeze as soon as they leave my eyes. There can be no feeling worse than being born with absolute physical freedom, and having that freedom taken away. So, I fly.
And when my wings are exhausted, my tears are spent, and my hunger is sated, I turn back toward my captors, and I unleash every ounce of misery they imposed on me tenfold. I don't just burn them down, I don't just burn their home down -- I turn the land they held me on to cinders. The planet loses a continent.
I'm a dragon. I don't do things halfway.
