David Gemmell is one of my favorites. His stories and the characters he brought to life put him in the top echelon of SFF writers. Druss..is there a better champion? For me, the only character in SFF that I like better is Conan and that's probably because he was my first favorite. Can you imagine the 2 of them fighting back to back?? lol
I have been doing a lot of re-reads lately of my favorites. He will be one that I will be plowing through next (currently re-reading the Wheel of Time to get to the Sanderson books that I haven't read yet).

I'm new to Gemmell so I am working my way through the Drenai saga and really enjoying them. Druss was good but he used his strength(and an axe) to beat his foes. I'm now reading about Tenaka Khan who is a bit more of a martial arts expert. It's hard to see who is the better fighter.
