Impossible to combine: please help

I have the librarian status but am losing it and afraid I might make a mistake, that's why I'm coming to you.

If you type "Jane Slayre" in the search bar, you'll see the problem.

I tried combining the entries to not lose any ratings/reviews/editions but couldn't. I tried entering the ISBN in the "smaller" entry and couldn't either ('this ISBN is already taken blabla' obviously), I'm afraid to do a mistake by editing more of the data.

Can someone help fix it and tell me how to do it so I can work it out on my own if I find another similar mistake later?

the primary author must be the same
in this case it was bronte on one and erwin on the other

I went ahead a separated them out and merged it and combined back, there was another and it had over 5+ reviews so a super-lib would have had to do it anyway
