Ryan rolled his eyes at her and checked their surroundings and the hotel out before going up to their room. Luckily everything was safe.

Riley waited as he walked around, looking, more or less, like a confused idiot. She stifled a giggle as a lady asked him of he was trying to find something.
Ryan ignored the lady and glared at her giggling. "You can't take anything serious, can you?" he muttered under his breath, walking into their room.
((Man... Major buzzkill..))Riley fell silent and looked to the ground. A little hurt. It had been a while since she'd last laughed.
((He's supposed to be serious, as her protector. He will slowly 'melt' around her though, she just needs to be happy etc :D))Ryan sighed. "Look, you don't understand how crucial it is to know that this place is safe. If it isn't safe, than we need to get out of here," he said softly, his voice turning gentle.
"I know." she mumbled, two words that had become an automatic response to some things. Riley unlocked to door to their room and opened it.
Ryan got their bags inside. "Well, we still have some time before we need to sleep. So, what do you want to do?"
Riley shrugged. "I don't know, Ryan." she answered and shut the door.
"Want to watch a movie?" he asked her.
"Sure." she answered and sat on the bed.
He smiled slightly and gave her the remote. "You choose."
Riley leaned back and lied on the bed, holding out the remote. "Iron Man 3?" she asked, looking over at him after browsing the selection.
"Sure," he smiled slightky, leaning back on the bed.
Riley played the movie and put down the remote.
Riley had fallen asleep on the bed by the time the movie was over.
He gently stroked her hair as she slept, she did mean a lot to him. But he couldn't get distracted.
Riley muttered softly, and turned onto her side.
Ryan had gone downstairs for a drink.
Riley stirred and sat up. She looked around the room for Ryan as she pushed hair out of her face.
Ryan didn't actually drink it, but he then walked back upstairs to bring it to her.
Riley sighed softly and lied back down.
He got back to their room. "I bought you a drink. Thought you could use it."
Riley looked over at him. "What is it?" she asked.
"Your favorite," he chuckled. "A Cherry coke," he gave it to her. "I know we've barely drunk anything other than water so..." He paused. "Well, you haven't."
Riley took the coke. "Thank you." she said and drank a bit.
He smiled and sat next to her.
Riley smiled gratefully at him and drank the rest of the coke.
"So, I talked to your parents..."he trailed off.
"They still won't let you go home," he sighed softly.
Riley put down the glass and shook her head. "I didn't think so." she whispered and ran to the bathroom.
"Wait, Riley, please," he bit his lip and walked after her.
Riley shook her head and closed the door. Locking it, she leaned against it and slid to the floor. Two years since she'd been home.
He sighed and slid back against the door, sitting down. "Please open the door, Riley."
"Riley, we need to talk about this," he said gently.
"Why? What is there to talk about?" Riley demanded, putting her head on her knees.
"You don't need to be sad," he said gently.
Riley let out a bitter laugh. "I haven't seen my parents, my sister and brother for two years! What is there not be sad about?>
"Because you will see them," he sighed. "You just didn't let me finish."
"Your brother will come over in two days."
"Yes, Nick is coming here," he said softly.
"Riley?" he asked, biting his lip, not sure if she was okay.
