The original hardcover edition was published in 1957, not 1967, and it has 692 pages, not 704.
Also, I originally clicked on goodreads that I had read the paperback version, which does not have the number of pages in it, so the number of pages I've read this year was not updated in "stats". I then switched to the above hardback, but the pages weren't added to my stats? Can this be fixed?

That edition has an ISBN. Considering when ISBNs were introduced, it could well be possible that the original 1957 edition doesn't have an ISBN and is therefore a different edition.
It might be better, in your case, if we updated the paperback edition that you own. If a specific edition that you own doesn't exist already in the database, then we can add it (including same ISBN, different cover).

Hmmm, just looked on Amazon and it says "Dec 1957" as the original published date for the hardcover, even though WorldCat has 1967. So have updated that, but page count should only be updated if you have that specific edition to compare with.

What needed to be changed in this case was the number of spaces in the authors name - by checking the book with the name correctly listed, I copied the name from there and pasted it into the book with the incorrect author.
