This current metro weather, you guys: I am head-over-heels in love with it. I don’t really know how to begin describing it, but let’s just say this is probably the closest our country can ever have to winter. I’m not really keen on the chilly cold air, but there’s just something so laidback and lovely about how the clouds hover around the sky these days like they’re threatening heavy rainfall at any moment but then nothing remotely close to a drizzle really happens. Gloomy and melodramatic, sure, but ah, it makes one go all nostalgic in the head. Trips down the memory lane ain’t particularly a cheery task all the time, but ah, this weather just hits my sweet spot perfectly: it’s the best time to hole up in my room, snuggle under a bundle of warm sheets and stay up all day reading a book in bed—aka one of my top bookish fantasies!
What made me even giddier was the fact that Marian Keyes ’ ‘The Brightest Star in the Sky’ is actually my book for this week and holy cheesecakes, ain’t that just glorious?

How Philosophy Can Save Your Life 10 Ideas That Matter Most – this is a workbook type material and cannot be read over the weekend. The book explores 10 ideas that can help one live a truly fulfilling life (Simplicity, Communication, Perspective, Flexibility, Empathy, Individuality, Belonging, Serenity, Possibility and Joy). The reader is asked to explore materials (music, prose, poetry, film) that expound the 10 ideas. Check it out if you have little or zero background in philosophy.
The Intelligent Investor – Warren Buffet has always said this is the book that taught him all about investing. Reading this because of the current economic growth that we are enjoying (if you are not aware, our country has one of the best stock performance in the world in 2012). Learning to play the stock market since last year (not taught in school so have to do this on my own).
The Book Thief – para makausyoso sa usapan, hahahah!

and read the ones that i haven't read before....

Hmm...I'll get a copy of that. This looks interesting. My only source of financial knowledge came online specifically from Fritz Villafuerte's blogs.
I also bought some stocks from Citisec. A bullish year for us! ;)

Hullo, Marian! Yes, bullish year ;) Happy investing and reading!
I found that reading more allows me to invest more, because I don't have to engage in retail therapy. LOL!

I've heard so much about this book, so I'm making time for this. Thanks for the heads up!

If you read her Christ the Lord series, you won't believe that she wrote the Sleeping Beauty series. She calls the time she's writing goth, vampires and erotica her "lost years". I think she has come full circle. What a writer.

actually just give me a few hours and I'll really be reading this one. :-) I actually just saw the trailer for the movie adaptation last week so, yeah, I'm comfortably sitting on the bandwagon of book-series-turned-into-movies. Just hope this one won't be a let down like the others though.

And next to read would be:
