Lord of the Flies will be the next one for me this is one of the books that heavily influenced King. And I've been meaning to read this novel for the longest... Matagal na siyang nakatambak. I'm surprised that I'm getting in the story right now and so engrossed. A far cry when I gave up on reading it a year ago.

@Aaron; I agree w/ Kuya Doni, you should charge the authors when you push their books. (or you already did, how much? Share ka naman jan) hahahaha
@Kuya Doni: I remember saying that I think I'm addicted to acquiring and reading books, at alam mo ba (leans closer and whispered) "si Aaron ang Book Pusher ko"
Ayan Aaron, pinagkakalat ko na pag lumaki kita mo as book pusher libre mo na kami next meet-up. hahahaha

Ako dapat ang ilibre mo Ariel. Sa dami mo na ng naenjoy na books na nirecommend ko, I think I deserve a bonus! hahaha

Thanks, Aaron. Jzhun, madaya ka! Ibalik mo birthdate mo! Si Kuya Atty ko, August 9 yon! May ka-share ako sa meetup! Si Lai kaya? Hmmmm
Akala ko, Scorpions are hot blooded passionate people. Di ba sabi readers are supposed to be lonely people? Ha ha ha
Lam mo, when I joined here sa Filipino group, the active ones were the likes of Beng, Vince, etc. Lahat tayo, bago (as in around 1 year or less).

Jam???? hot blooded passionate?!? Cold-blooded yan., hehe., peace!

Aylavet! My friend just returned my copy of Life of Pi, which to date is the most expensive book I ever bought at Booksale. Its a huge hardbound book with very interesting illustrations. Actually mukha shang children's book. I really enjoyed reading it particularly about Pi's interest with religion. And of course, I love Richard Parker.

Aha! You are making fun of me again huh?! Remember that hell hath no fury like a Scorpio woman scorned. :P

*cough* *cough* my *cough* birthday *cough* isn't *cough* August *cough*
Sorry, another series of coughing fits... Pero wala akong H1Ewan ha! Lolz! :D

Uuyy, matagalo ko na ring pinapangarap na magkaroon ng Hardcover ng Life of Pi. TPB lang meron ako... Kaiingit naman...

Ako din. I don't know why they've stopped posting comment. Pero yung iba tulad ni Beng stopped using their accounts suddenly. Bakit kaya?

Hehe. Thanks. I bought my copy at Booksale SM San Lazaro. I was about to leave the store when I saw the book displayed at window. Pikit mata kong binili kasi 400php eh.

Nyhar... >_<

I would definitely recommend it to anybody who love to read good classic fiction. One problem I encounter with the book is its use of British colloquialisms and slang words in the 50s so that might put you down a bit, which I experience too when I tried to read the book during the previous year. Good thing I found my Arrow British Dictionary that really helped. What I attracted me to it is the theme of the book about human nature. I'm looking forward how will events will turn up... who'll have the upper hand: is it Ralph or Jack. Civility vs. Savagery! Yeah! \m/

Jzhun: It does sounds a LOT like GONE then. Sam vs Caine. No wonder, a lot of people are comparing these two books. I might read it, few months after finishing LIES when I already missed the series. :)

Definitely read it Aaron!
Napansin ko lang, parang pagkatapos mong "i-book push" sa akin ang Gone, nai-book push ko naman sa iyo ang Lord of the Flies... Ehehehe... Now that's what I call a mutual book relationship... Ahahaha!!!

Im not too sure but I think mga early last year. Alam mo naman sa Booksale, chambahan. Hehehe.

Nakita ko rin yan. Expensive nga. I liked Life of Pi. Hayup! Sayang ang time mo. Parang Alice in Wonderland. Panaghinip lang ang lahat. Hayup!

Violeta used to be very active din. Bigla lang siyang nawala ah.

Ah, nakakamiss SM San Lazaro. Maganda choices dun; I tend to spend a lot relative to other booksale branches, but I haven't been there lately.
Speaking of "Lord of The Flies", I join the consensus in saying that it's also one of my favorite books. It's well written, fast paced that you really feel like a part of the group. I love how it illustrates that disintegration of society, more so by using children to push that point. By the way, if I were a character in that book, I think I'll end up as poor Piggy or Simon. Ehehehe

As for me I relate with Simon's character a lot. Mukhang magiging tragic ang mangyayari sa kanya... [sad:]

Definitely read it, Jamaica... Parang Survivor, out-wit, out-last...

i have the book sitting on my shelf for a while now, maybe it's the time to pick it up and read it... hehehe!

Ay, sori ha. Akala ko kasi nabasa na ninyo. If you check the previous monthly books last year, naging group read na ang Life of Pi. So, I felt free to share my view.
Kelan tayo magpra-praktis? Akala mo, di ko kaya yan ha.

break dancing daw kuya don ang number mo... hehehe

Ganon ka-brutal??

Ganun nga, Jam...
As in!"
@Jzhun: Oo nga. Ayan, spoiler din yang ginagawa nyo.
@Ace: nag-breakdance ang pilay! ha ha ha

But see here Kuya Doni I still spare them the details unlike your Life of Pi post. For now I'm letting them speculate and be intrigued by the story. Ehehehehe... :D
Tara break-knee dance na tayo! Ayus! \m/
