Ria de Vera | 4 comments Rabbit is rich by John Updike. I think it won the Pulitzer some years back, which is primarily what made me decide to read it. It's very insightful and real at the same time, though I can't relate to some of the author's references and frequently have to look things up on the net.

Hi! I suppose I might as well, though not right away. Have you read them?

message 3579: by Angus (new)

Angus (angusmiranda) | 4337 comments Hi! I suppose I might as well, though not right away. Have you read them?"

Not yet. I plan to read them on December. A Rabbit month for me. My friend raves about Rabbit at Rest. He read that first, and he no longer intends to read the first three because a.) he already knows the end (an unsound reasoning, haha), and b.) he is not a big reader.

I can see why. Updike is hilarious and clever. I don't know though if I can read all four books consecutively (are there four? haha). He's a bit heavy for me, to be frank, and so overwhelmingly American. Anyway, December is so far away! It looks like you have plenty of books lined up for you there :D

Yep, I'm obsessed with planning, hahaha. But really, I'm not good at executing plans, but I try my best to follow the plan 80%. I'm allotting 20% for the books of the month.

ABKD: Wala namang nagmamadali!
