i love the new series more... The Lost Hero..and all that follows is <3 for sure! :DCURRENTLY READING: DIARY OF WIMPY KID.
Same here Tricia. I have Book 1 of Percy Jackson and it is somewhere in my cabinet. I will read it when I am totally bored with the 1001 books.
Depends on the person I guess. Some say the book is similar to Harry Potter (I also think so) and the movie is less Harry Potter-ish
I saw the movie, Jessica. I thought it was similar to Harry Potter except that they are all teens (in HP1, Harry was even an infant/toddler/kid). HP1 is a lot better than PJ1.
love the Percy Jackson series! mas maganda book over movie. funny and hilarious :) adventure tlg! i like the new series also, The Lost Hero, kaso too early to judge if it will surpass Percy Jackson's
@Ian: i haven't read Dorian Gray but I already saw the film adaptation! Breath-taking! Hope I can grab a copy of that classic book.I'm finished with Jasper Fforde's The Eyre Affair. ANG GANDA GANDA NIYA! I CAN'T BELIEVE NGAYON KO LANG SIYA BINASA. Ang awesome ni Thursday Next! I want to be her. Hihihi. I won't be reading the next book yet, gusto kong ma-miss muna sila so I'm picking up Louis Sachar's HOLES.
Reading my kind of nerdy love story...
And the good thing is it's told in the guy's point of view!
Sana kiligin ako... o baka hindi rin... Pfft!

Interesting... The beginning is sooo true good to be true for a guy kind of love story but I think the author has something up his sleeve, and I'm eagerly anticipating it. Candy, the girl, is too shrouded with mystery, an enigma, if you will - my type of girl, I suppose.
Ahahaha! :D
I love Percy Jackson and the author Rick Riordan I really respect him. I cried when I learned that Haley his kid has ADHD and Dyslexia and that's why he makes a character like Percy Jackson. He just wants to inspire these kids. And he also an advocate for people to look at this condition especially with the parents in a more positive way.

But in fairness, I love the 5th book of Percy Jackson series..that's where all the action picked up...SORRY
and BTW... the book after Jason will feature Percy (who is stuck in the ROMAN camp for demi-gods) so I bet you'll love the new series na..LOL

The first two parts are promising. It is written in the first person. I prefer this point of view because it allows one to go through the thoughts of the narrator. If I weren't riding a bus on my way to work, I would have finished it in one sitting.
