Rollie (zheick) | 2096 comments netgalley is the best when it comes to ARCs. I just don't like reading e-books which the only way they offer.

I read the claiming of sleeping beauty long long long ago...my tummy ached after a few chapters and I felt like vomiting...OMG...it's so evil... but kudos Anne Rice!

K.D. Absolutely (oldkd) | 6065 comments Haruki Murakami and the Music of Words by Jay Rubin
Jay Rubin's Haruki Murakami and the Music of Words answers many questions about Murakami and his works. Nice to read if you are a fan (like me)!

Ken (kamui) | 53 comments Lullaby I like the concept very much but I feel a lack of execution. The plot idea was just enormous that it could rival Death Note but I guess Chuck Palahniuk had no intention to go that way at all. I found myself saying "OK, one more chapter and I'll sleep" multiple times! Definitely a page turner.

I even made a reading plan for this one, haha. Target finish days: 20-26. I am currently on Day 2. :)

message 1468: by Joyzi (new)

message 1469: by Angus (new)

Angus (angusmiranda) | 4337 comments Haha, oo nga eh, kaya I had to make a reading plan. 50-70 pages a day, tapos I made sure na sa chapter/book/volume ending siya. What is OC? :)

message 1470: by Joyzi (new)

Joyzi (joit) | 1768 comments anong OC? Obsessive compulsive?

message 1471: by Angus (new)

Angus (angusmiranda) | 4337 comments Yep. Kasi naman I wrote that W&P reading plan while reading. :D

message 1472: by Joyzi (new)

Joyzi (joit) | 1768 comments Ganun? Why are you reading that pala, for school? or trip lang?

message 1473: by Angus (new)

Angus (angusmiranda) | 4337 comments Hmm. I was planning to read Gone with the Wind for this month. Then I visited Jessica Zafra's blog. There's a W&P Reading Group going on. So I joined in the fun. The participants are encouraged to chronicle their experience with the book. Kaya hayun, parang trip lang ang reason (and 95% yun ang reason ko for reading, it's supposed to be for fun diba, tapos yung 5% for school, eh I'm done with that), pero this should be productive. So far, enjoy siya. And I am ranting, sorry, hehe. :D

message 1474: by Joyzi (new)

Joyzi (joit) | 1768 comments Ganun ba? Pero I've heard maganda daw yung Gone with the Wind kaso ang kapal din nun.

message 1475: by Angus (new)

It's my first time reading a thousand-pager (not counting anthologies). Thanks for the add pala. :)

message 1476: by Joyzi (new)

Joyzi (joit) | 1768 comments Ganun ba sige good luck^^ No probs dun sa add.

message 1477: by Angus (new)

Angus (angusmiranda) | 4337 comments Thanks, ngayon pa lang kasi ako nagbabad dito sa site, I'm still working on getting used to it. :)
