Sige Gl haha, a free book is a free book even if it's a bad one, lupa sinusurvey niyo, engineer ka ba?
ah sorry, I just remember we had this conversation before when I ask if you're an architect...aaaaah Alzheimer's?...sorry yeah I already know you're an engineer
I actually have a good memory but really sometimes I'm also forgetful
Do you know that reading books can actually prevent Alzheimer's? That was really true btw I'm not making that one up
My friend told me that already when I confessed about my being forgetful. Then he told me about reading and solving can actually prevent Alzheimer's. Luck for me that i could do both.hehe
solving math problems? that would just kill my brain cells though I'm fond of solving crossword puzzles, sudoku (did I spell it right?) and rubik's cube, I can solve a 2x2 and a 3x3

.I tend to read a few chapters of 2 different books everyday, and I only read Graceling during the weekends. All of my current reads are surprisingly GOOD, with Graceling probably relatively the weakest. I just started Life of Pi today even though it's been in my TBR pile for months and I didn't expect to like it much, but 90 pages in and I'm enjoying it a LOT ^_^
Currently reading The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom and Halfway to the Grave by Jeanine Frost

Ey tintin, so far, how do you find Life of Pi? someone gave it to me, and i want to know if I should move it up in my TBR list.

"I like it a lot so far, but it may not be to everyone's taste. It's about an Indian boy with multiple faiths (Hindu, Christian, and Muslim but predominantly from a Hindu perspective as he was born in India). It's a very thoughtful book, and not one I can neatly peg down to a specific genre (literary maybe?). I think it takes an open mind to fully appreciate it, as we know a lot of people are very sensitive about their faith and beliefs. I have yet to find something I hate about the story, but then I'm only a quarter into it so I can't make a complete judgement yet :)
thanks Tintin! your comment is well appreciated! insightful too. Will try to read it on Christmas break.
My first Picoult book. :D A friend recommended this when she saw that I have read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time.
Exactly. Joyzi: it will be his first. If you check his read books, they are mostly "young man's books": fantasy, sci-fi, etc. So, I was surprised to see him adding Jodi Piccoult. It's like you if you pick say a classic foreign book like Elias Canetti's Auto-da-Fe.
Lyle try to read My Sister's Keeper and Nineteen Minutes, maganda mga books ni Picoult parang mix ng drama, ethics and legalities, very informative din dami ka matutunan.
Next year ko na babasahin. I tried My Sister's Keeper before. Huh? Okay. Fine. *closed the book* Kinabukasan *handed out the book back to the officemate* Nagustuhan mo? "Oh hum..."
