Review:
The tale of Sophie and Phin is fast and interesting, and beyond the inevitable conclusion of boy gets girl (or girl gets boy) it wasn't at all predictable. I enjoyed it immensely, they weren't stereotypical, they weren't one dimensional and they weren't boring. I loved them. In fact I already want to read the book again and am pretty much prepared to do so. It isn't amazingly deep and it doesn't make any unfathomable statements it's just a spectacularly good read and as long as that's all you're looking for then go for it.
Anything that can turn your week around and put it back on the happy highway of life has to be good. Welcome to Temptation takes us into a world where the sex is great, the movie quotes keep on coming and the characters are all more than huggable.
I don't think I can stress how much I'd like to thank Jennifer Crusie for making this book as good as it was meant to be. For now I think I'll settle for reading it again.

I've not heard from her.

Review: I enjoyed this book although I wasn't sure I would. The main character, Raven, has been a nasty piece of work in the earlier books in the series. The perspective in this book, when you could hear all of her thinking and learn about her past, made her easier to like. Jonah was not as developed as a character, but what we saw looked perfect for her. Some the the changes were a little too much, too quickly, but I did enjoy the book. I also liked revisiting the characters from the earlier books.

Review:
Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy this one as much as the previous books in the series. I loved the Cinderella-esque beginning and the end, but the middle part frequently had me gritting my teeth in frustration. I liked Sophie a lot, but Benedict came across as a pushy, condescending ass for a large part of the book. He has no respect at all for Sophie's wishes - when she says no to becoming his mistress he bullies her into coming to London with him and after she starts working in his mother's house he keeps on harassing her constantly. Whether she secretly wants you or not, if she says no just back the hell off! And it just goes on and on like that and just gets worse. Whatever their differences in status, such behaviour is appalling and absolutely unacceptable to me which diminished my enjoyment of the book considerably. But I guess all's well that ends well, so I'll simply hope that book 4 will be more to my liking.
