I totally see your point.....but, I still want a sequel....
:)

She's not writing another book. As of now, she plans to keep it as she intended when she wrote it.. No Sequel.

Omg you are delish and yes we all feel this way, this should be a sequel and dammit if we have to petition her for more twitch we really need to do it. I have to know what happens to them THEY HAVE TO HAVE MORE THAN THAT SHE HAS TO FIND OUT HE'S ALIVE AND HE HAS TO MEET HIS SON ITS JUST NOT FAIR. GOD DONT GET ME STARTED!

Why would the boy have to be an adult?

A Sequel is a must !!!

Why would the boy have to be an adult?
I think IF a sequel were to come, that it would be more interesting to read about at the point where their son is a young adult or basically close to it. For many reasons. Especially when u consider the absentee father aspect. How this has affected their son, if he knows the circumstances surrounding his father & mother's relationship etc.. And how he has chosen to live his own life due to this. is he bitter? Is he stronger for it? etc.. How has his mother fared? Is she still in love with Twitch after all this time? Does he love her?
The circumstances of Twitch and his relationship with his son's mother, were unconventional to say the least. And filled with extreme happenings. To all of a sudden read a story about them covered in sugar & happiness & heartfelt sweet reunions & grand gestures, or ur typical romantic trope, would not feel true to form with them AT ALL, IMO. It would certainly take the "Raw" factor out of the purpose/experience of book 1 and meeting them in the first place. And just who these people are & how their choices/circumstances shaped them in the future.
Some stories aren't meant to have a perfect little bow at the end of it.
Sometimes I like an ending that is more true to form with real life. Cos more often than not, this is what happens. But a story like Twitch's can never really fit in a perfect HEA. It would just feel completely off, considering what we were given concerning him throughout his whole story. And on top of that, the choice he made in the end. To allow them to think he was dead.
I personally don't need a sequel in order for their story to feel complete for me. But if Belle were to write one, I hope she approaches it from a more realistic angle that may or may not end with an HEA for the couple. Heck the HEA could be with his son. Father-Son type of thing. I just wouldn't want her to fill it with hearts & flowers BS. Cos again, that would not feel true to form concerning these characters.
The sequel wouldn't have to be so cold/dark like book 1, but it can't be no Kristen Ashley fantasy Alpha sh*t either. That just wouldn't work for me. Not with these characters & how their story ended in book 1, anyway.

I agree some parts with your argument. I understand and agree with no sequel by reading your point view. I don't however like the idea of twitch son as a adult because I have seen usually with book like raw if that's the case the other book is about "oh I am the son I hate my dad. I am prejudices and labelled as related to the mob when I am not . My life suck , then bam romance girl comes try to sort suit out". Raw is just so unique that I wouldn't want that to happen I get it you meant a more realistic take how he handle his dad history etc. But as I think back the heroine was to in oven with twitch it was like she had colour glasses on he did mistakes in front of her . She was a social care work of that child he put his life in danger once then got him killed. I can't remember because I read this like last year but I do remember while reading the book thinking where did the heroine bravo go, so therefore if there was a sequel I don't think she would be true to the sun at all and if you see it maybe that's why twitch backed out because he knew his gf is blinds and she won't back out.

This is partly why I wouldn't want a sequel to their story. It's one of those tales where, I'm happy with writing the "ending" in my own head. Cos all the variables concerning Twitch. The type of person he is as well as his life, lifestyle, & perspective and how all these things affected the one female he's ever loved & by extension his son, I don't think any sequel would live up to what I would like to see happen if ever a follow up was written. Maybe it could work if it were approached from the angle regarding Twitch & his son, years later & by that happening, opening a door for Twitch & Alexis too. Maybe this could work. But it's all in the approach. In how it's executed. Cos there were so many dark & beyond hurtful circumstances regarding Twitch & her. A revisit with them would have to be poignant. It would have to be deep & layered. It can't be just about a romance & being reunited. But if it came from the deeper angle, then I wouldn't mind reading a sequel. Otherwise I think it should be left alone.
Plus if the author never saw herself writing this story as a 2 or 3 book trilogy anyway, then I think it shouldn't be approached. Cos if the Author was never feeling the story to continue, it would suck anyway if she attempted to write one cos everybody wants a sequel.
It wouldn't be or feel authentic if she did it for that reason alone. It would all feel forced.
And like I said before, even though there were things in this book left open ended, things that I was curious about learning more about, I was still pleased with how it all closed. Cos it's just one of those books that's more true to life as far as circumstances & choices go, rather than a fantasy fix/ HEA.
