Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu was now on the outskirts of the town. This wasn't his first assignment and wouldn't be his last. He'd been waiting for the last week to finally take her. It was over four weeks since he's been home and the trek back would take just as long. He sighed silently as he entered the town. Silently he moved from one building to another and finally found his target. It was a girl? He had no idea why, but he knew that it was his mission to capture her and bring her back to his village. As he snuck into her room he found her asleep wrapped in warm sheets. Something could be heard downstairs which made him ready his sword. Before anyone would notice, Isamu reached for the girl.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima slept lightly in her bed as she was taught since she was little. The lesson on not cutting one's self while sleeping with knives and daggers was a mandatory one. Her ear twitched a she heard the floorboards of her room creak slightly and gave no signs that she was awake as she held onto the hilt of her dagger. When Kima felt heat come closer to her arm, she reacted, grabbing the attacker's wrist and pulling them to her as she puts the dagger to their throat.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu was expecting as much from a ninja girl so as her blade paused at his neck he quickly blocked with the hilt of his wakizashi. There was little to no sound from the collision. Realizing that the girl was probably around his age, he began to wonder why the heck someone wanted her. He smiled slightly as he pulled her to her feet and whispered in her ear, "Wanna go on an adventure?" With a slight mischievous tone, Isamu beckoned her to come with him.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima glares as she watched her dagger fly out of her hand and onto her blanket with a soft thud. With a light yank, she was pulled onto her feet by the guy who had woken her up. Was these some sort of test? Did her brother, the leader of the ninja village, feel like she was too pampered and set this up? She was no pampered princess, well she is the princess, but that really didn't matter to her. The whispered comment in her ear had caught her off guard and made her blush faintly. She pushed him away from her. "Why would I go with you?" She growls under her breath.

message 12: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu smiled and thought 'feisty one'. He took a silent step back and sheathed his wakizashi. "Why not? Besides your brother wants to test you. Or are you that pampered princess everyone thinks you are?" Isamu had the intell prior to the mission and had a lot of time to read it all over. What he gathered from the intell and his own observation was that she was a princess and always took a challenge, especially if her brother's name was attached. "Don't worry we'll be quick," he assured her.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima was a bit peved that her brother was involved but what clued her in was there was no respect for her brother. No master, sama, or anything like that. "You are no test." She glares at him and pulled the twin needles that kept her long black hair up. She took a defencive stance with the poison tipped needles in each hand. "Why are you here?" She says as she felt her hair move against her arms.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu was happy now as he said, "Follow me and you'll find out." He flew out the window and landed gracefully on the next roof. There he ran from roof to roof knowing that she'd follow indefinitely. As he began to get speed he glanced back slightly to see if Kima was following. Finally he reached the gates. Easily, he flipped over the gate and waited for her on the edge of the forest.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) "Cheeky bastard." Kima growls, grabbing weapons before running after him. Her being the fastest in the village was something she was quite proud of and insured her catching up to him. She stops dead in her tracks at the wall of the village."Like hell I am following him any farther." she mutters.

message 16: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu waited at the edge of the forest unsure if she'd follow or now. He waited for a while not wanting to go back for her. As he waited someone yelled something within the village. Suddenly an alarm was sounded and lights began to turn on. Isamu silently snuck back to the wall and glanced over. People were running around like little ants. He smiled slightly thinking that he caused his mayhem, but in reality it was something else. A neighboring village was attacking. He could see the scattered forces surrounding the village. Before he could get a better view something 'clacked' below him. Ninja were engaging in battle. Without panic, Isamu found Kima again. One of his priorities was to capture her alive and relatively unharmed. He would uphold this part of his mission. Drawing his katana, Isamu began to battle who ever came near him or Kima.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima threw poison needles at those who came near her. She didn't even bat an eye at them as they fell to give her a view of the next opponent in her way. Her hands went to her pouch to get her shuriken as she saw the guy from her room defending her. "The hell." she mutters as she threw the three shuriken in her hand at the ninja coming at her side.

message 18: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu smiled at Kima and said, "I'm on your side." He then sliced through another opponent. It was exhilarating to be fighting. As he swung his sword, Isamu found himself surrounded by corpses. Unlike ninja who were more long-distance fighters, Isamu was limited to close combat. Though he could throw the sword, he always opted against it since he'd lose his weapon. The battle was heating up as the night continued. He looked over to Kima who was holding her own. That made him smile slightly as he killed another. During the battle the sleeve of his kimono was stained with blood. It made his arm heavier, but only slightly. To Isamu it was more of a challenge that way.

As he continued to battle something caught his eye. He went back to back with Kima and spun her around to deflect an onslaught of shuriken and kunai. With both of his swords drawn, Isamu created a shield that protected both of them. Once he felt it was safe he slowed. Bending over slightly, Isamu was exhausted.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima looks at him like he was crazy. "You saved a dummy." She states with a raised eyebrow. "Why did you do that?" she questions his ethic on his fighting. She was well aware of her ability with jutsus. Why wasn't he? She shakes her head lightly

message 20: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu should have expected as much as she reprimanded him. "You're welcome," he stated moving back a bit. She seemed slightly peeved, but when he turned to her to get a view of her face he was truly caught off guard. She was really annoyed, yet quite beautiful. As he gazed a bit, something plunged into his side. He inhaled sharply before realizing that a shuriken had dug itself into his back. Spinning around he dug the piece of metal out of his flesh and sent it back where it came from. A ninja fell out of a tree as the shuriken hit him.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima stares at the blood that seeped from the guy's wound. "Have fun with that." She mutters before turning back to him and headed back to her room. Her conscious didn't even alert her to his condition, meaning it didn't really matter to her.

message 22: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu rolled his eyes as she walked away. What am I going to do with her? He wondered while holding his side. The sun was beginning to rise as the view of the battle field came into light. Bodies were lying all around as people from the village. Isamu stood up to breath in the fresh scent of death. It was so familiar to him that he almost relished in the moment. Before he realized where he was, he was surrounded by ninja. His eyes narrowed as he removed his hand from his wound. They didn't want him there. That was obvious, but did they know who he was? "Stop, intruder. Don't move or we'll kill you," one stated as they all brought their kunai up.

"I'd like to see you try," Isamu replied as he took a ready position where his thumb pushed the blade slightly out. Isamu was ready for their attack and would slice through them without much problem.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima looks back at the guy when she heard her brother's voice. She smiles and appears at his side. "Good to see you are well, Oni-sama." She says before looking to the guy again.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu smiled and relaxed a bit. His blood had soaked the left side of his kimono. "So we meet again, Daitaro." [[feel free to change his name if you'd like]] Isamu remembered years ago when the two had met on a battle field. They both agreed that the war was pointless and that the bloodshed should stop. Although they disagreed in the ways to get to this solution, they both agreed it should end. They spared each other's lives that day.

Daitaro stood tall and replied, "Long time no see. You've changed a bit, Isamu." The two stood for a moment longer before cracking up. Laughing hurt Isamu, but he couldn't help himself. Once he saw that reaction on Daitaro's face he had to. So the two laughed heartily as the rest watched dumbfounded.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima shook her head. "I'm not even asking." she says as she turns to head back to the house and away from the men. "Men." she scoffed as she jumped down from the high roof of the house they were on. She stopped in her tracks as she came upon wounded villagers. she stops and helps bandage wounds while on her way through the whole village, taking the longest way home possible.

message 26: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu smiled slightly as he watched Kima go off to help others. As he watched Daitaro asked in a more serious tone, "Why did you come?" He didn't think Isamu had malicious intent, but who knew. They were on different sides during the war. Isamu turned to face Daitaro, still holding his side. He began to realize how deep that shuriken really went and he felt a bit light headed from the loss of blood.

Isamu kept his smile as he stated, "Just passing by when the village was attacked." With that Isamu excused himself. Although he was hurt, he was still pretty fast. Only Daitaro could keep up. They both reached a secluded spot in the village. Isamu took a knee as he took off the first layer of his worn kimono. Ripping off the hem, Isamu made a make-shift bandage that he wrapped around his torso. It helped with the bleeding a bit.

"You know I can take you to the hospital. You are welcome," Daitaro stated as he watched Isamu. He moved closer to the wounded samurai and said in a lower voice, "I know you're up to something. I don't want to hurt you. Besides, you're in no condition to fight so why not let us help you." Daitaro was trying to be friendly, but he could sense something darker within Isamu.

Much to Daitaro's surprise Isamu agreed and they both made their way to the hospital where Isamu nearly collapsed from exhaustion and blood loss. Immediately he was taken care of and placed in a room. Along with his swords, Isamu rested in the hospital with a bandage tightly wound about his torso.

[[sorry ab the long post. Feel free to make your posts obnoxiously long if you'd like]]

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima finishes helping around the village as she walks home. when she walk in the gate to the main house, she was tackled by her wolf-dogs. She laughs heartily as she was licked by them until she got back onto her feet. Her hands leisurely combs through their fur as she walks through the stone garden in the back of her family home. The wind calmed her and let her forget all the turmoil that had happened not too long ago.

message 28: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu rested as the world continued to revolve. He didn't really care as he drifted off to sleep. The world was so messed up as it is, so why did he have to get involved? As he rested he remembered his mission.

A dark figure stated, "Get the girl and you can have the reward." It was unclear who the figure was. Isamu liked it that way. No faces, just the mission. As a samurai he was bound by certain honor codes that he'd thought he broke free from years ago. Although he was no longer 'bound' by them they still found a way to rule his life. Isamu got up and left the dark room. He was greeted by a lady who handed him the file.

Isamu began to wake up and found Daitaro in his room. "What's up?" Isamu asked nonchalantly. Daitaro had a serious face that implemented something much darker.

"I will allow you to stay, but please don't make trouble." With that Daitaro left the room. Isamu got up himself. He wouldn't let a wound keep him bed ridden. As he stood he felt the stitches in his side. He dressed and tied his swords to his waist. He too left the room by means of a window. There he made his way though the streets of the village.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima found her favorite spot in the yard, a small undesturbed clearing she often used for training, and lays on her back on the soft grass. Her wolf-dogs curled up at her sides after having calmed down. She sighs as she closes her eyes as she relaxes. The cool grass tickled her back as she moved slightly to setting more comfortably in the grass.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu found that the villagers weren't exactly welcoming, but rather looks of suspicion. It was obvious they didn't want him in the village, but what could he do. Now that he was there he might as well complete his mission. Making his way back to Kima's house, Isamu found her lying in the grass next to a wolf-dog. "You look content," he stated as he made his way into the yard.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) "I was." Kima opens her eyes and tilts her head up to see the guy who laughed with her brother. "Leave me alone." She growls as she pets her wolf-dog behind its ears. Her gaze turned back to the sky as she tries to relax once more in the grass.

message 32: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu didn't listen as he took a seat next to her in the grass. He smiled and looked up, leaning on his hands. It was serene in this place. Could he disregard his mission and go back to running? What would happen? Isamu thought about his options. Now that he's fully assessed the mission and also the village, Isamu realized that he didn't want to leave.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima scoffs and sits up. Her glare settles on him as she stood up to leave, seeing to her only place of peace was disrupted. Her wolf-dog gets up and follows her as she walks back to the house.

message 34: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments "Where you going?" Isamu called out behind her. He had somewhat of a playful tone to his voice, like a child. Deciding not to follow, Isamu sat there staring into the sky. It was quite peaceful here. Maybe he could get away with not returning, or they'd place a bounty on his head and call him a ronin. If that happens then what consequences would follow?

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima ignores him and heads into the house and was bombarded by her dance teacher. She merely stayed quiet as she was yelled at for trying to skip her lesson. It was like the fight didn't even happen in the village for her. With a strong hand, she was dragged into the room used for training.

message 36: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu looked to see what was going on and found Kima being reprimanded. He smirked as she was dragged into the house. He called back, "Good luck!" He resumed his comfortable position and forgot about the world for a few minutes. It was so peaceful. Could he really live like this? He decided that maybe he could. He'd have to tie up some loose ends.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima was force into her practice kimono and a fan was placed into her hand. She sighs lightly as she follows her instructors every command.

message 38: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu got up and went over to the window to watch. He found Kima in a beautiful kimono. 'She danced,' Isamu thought. She looked the part, but you could tell she didn't want to be doing that.

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima relaxes after awhile and ignored her instructor completely, doing her own thing. A small smile touches her lips as she moves gracefully through the room. To her, her feet didn't even touch the ground as she danced.

message 40: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Isamu watched as Kima did as she pleased. It was quite a sight. He couldn't believe that this was the same girl. She seemed to float as she moved across the floor. He marveled before realizing that he needed to decide his next move. He already decided that he wouldn't continue with the mission. What did they want with this girl anyways?

ɛƈɧơ ۷ąཞıɛƖ (luniccharm) Kima's eyes were open as she dodged shurikin that were aimed at her. She smiles to her brother and flicks him off before dancing a bit more. "You know you come join me Oni-sama, oh powerful leader of the clan." she sasses.

message 42: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Leave it to Daitaro to make Kima's dance lesson into training. Isamu smiled as he watched. It was quite entertaining to see the two going at each other like this. Getting up Isamu left the house and went back into the village. Still he felt out of place. As he got further from the main city he realized how the people changed. Once near the walls of the city, Isamu was greeted instead of ignored. People smiled at him and stopped to make small talk. It seemed like they were hit the hardest during the attack, but they didn't seem to care much. They could obviously tell that he was not from the village. Even so, they welcomed a stranger.
