I'm always worried people hate my character templates because they seem so boring

I must interject with heaps of praise on most everyone template/characters. I am fairly new to RP so I know there is leaps and bounds to go before mine get anywhere near as coherent and detailed as some of the ones I've seen here.

When I first started roleplaying *shudders*
My characters were really really really bad
I just have a problem with coherency. Like it sounds great in my head I promise but maybe with a little collaboration I can improve. I am much better at the actual role-play. And I have read everyone's characters on here at one time just because I get bored >.> can't promise I catch all the changes but once they are up in the final thing I re-read them.
Read our collaboration thread for the family, we are working out details now. Hoping to get everyone's input so everyone can make the character they want but still share a common theme in their histories.
So I'm pretty sure people were talking about Eleanor and Park on here.....So I read the book

I just realized how long its been since I've been in an advanced group where they ask for actual details. o.o damn, I think I became a worse writer. urghirh;agvk.
I mean, in real life. Ugh. I am like the person with the highest IQ in my classes. It's like everyone on the internet is so smart(in a geeky, fangirl way ;) .) and in real life the kids in my school, run around yelling "Unicorns are real!" and start screaming "Don't ruin my imagination!" when you tell them they're wrong(I'm Usually fine with that kind of stuff as a joke, but they are so persistent and I swear some of them can't tell simple literary differences. We're on Michael Murpurgo at the minute and I mean oh my gosh. Can't wait till we go Charles Dickens, they're going to be so confused.)
I know. I made the mistake of writing; "short paragraphs". I like to be subtle, because if I make them long, I spend hours pondering over whether they are worthy enough to be published. (perfectionism issue I developed last year. I know, it sucks.)
Just realised, a kid in my class doesn't know what IQ means. T.T

Or if people (in real life, I'm usually more confident over the internet) enjoyed talking to me. In my maths, though, I suck. I'm labelled "class retard" until it comes to English where the children poke me and ask me why I'm such a nerd(you can't win. Seriously...) But, oh well, I guess, at least I have Tris and Tobias to keep me company(Divergent Series, at the minute. Almost finished)
