My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book and due so many mixed reviews I wasn't sure how I would like it. I have always loved fantasy books of all kinds, the fact that they are fiction is the best part it means no matter how the characters are written, weak female or whatever kind of character, that it is a work of fiction not real. If the book is good I can lose myself in that fictional world. The world building was pretty good, I like how that brothers interacted with each other and looked out for each other. Wrath and Beth were pretty well written as were all the characters. The story was good and I am looking forward reading the next book in the series.

Keepers

I read the entire book again this week and it was just as good as the first time. Such a sad and poignant story, brought alive by Death.

What a different and very interesting book! I've seen the film several times, so I came to the story knowing the big twist, but I still really liked it.
There's no doubt that it would likely have been even better had I not know the twist as I was constantly aware of it throughout the book, which made some scenes more obvious. However, the premise and the message about how our consumer-driven lives can become so meaningless that extremes are needed to feel alive, are very sharp and spot on.
Highly recommended!

sorry no computer access at the moment gotta post from phone.
i read Blood Rites by Jim Butcher off the Keeper shelf.
I rate it 4 stars.
Harry Dresden, my favorite wizard, is back, this time working with Murph, Kincaid, and Thomas the white court vampire on an entropy curse that is killing off starlets, and also trying to find and kill the den of Mavras vampires and Renfields. Harry gets a puppy, finds out he still has a remaining family member, and finds out several people are not who they say they are. the book was quick moving and dazzled with Harrys usual quick whit.

We got a:

I would like to thank the author for sending me a hard copy of this book for my honest review. Once I opened this book and started reading, I did not want to put it down. This novel deals with the hard issue of child abduction and child porn without being graphic to make a person feel uncomfortable reading the story. The characters are well written and the plot is very good. The ending has you wondering if there is going to be a series involving Walker, Munoz and Stansky, that would be great as they all work well together and are very talented at what they each do. I look forward to reading more from Thomas Hall in the future.

I listened to this on audio, and again just want to say how much I love James Marsters' reading of these books! He just IS Harry to me :)
This is not one of my favourite books in terms of the storyline, but we do find out something VERY important for the future stories and we meet Mouse, which makes this book lovely in my opinion :)

This series is a fast read. I liked it when it first came out but it is kind of dragging out too long. It's full of typical teen drama 90s style.

Night Broken is the 8th installment in the Mercy Thompson series which happens to be my all time favorite series. Mercy is a coyote who happens to be living with a pack of werewolves. The story is captivating right from the start I had a hard time putting it down and actually finished the book in one afternoon. The author has created a beautifully written story that sparks the imagination and the mind. I honestly love this series and can't wait till the next installment. I would be sad when she stops writing these books.

I haven't yet been able to come up with a star rating for this title and I won't have much of a review because I'm going to have to sort out how I feel about it.
Pearl is a great character. She seems like she's got it all figured out and she comes off as very self-assured. She's smart, there's no doubt about that. She knows what she wants as far as business and career. It's men she has problems with. I'm trying to decide if she just had problems choosing a man, problems sorting her emotions, problems with commitment - or if she is just a whore. The line is hard to draw.
I'll repost when I've sorted it all out in my mind and I am able to come to some decisions about how I feel.
The book is well written with good dialogue and a believable dialect. The characters are great, all of them are very well written and believable. This is my first book by Tabitha King and I know I'll read more at some point in the future.

I rolled a 9, which puts us on space 77. Read the 7th book in a series or a title that starts with W.
I hope 77 is good enough. It does put us past #75. What do we have to do to win? Finish our books first?

Sorry I wasn't here to roll after we had all our reviews in for this week!
I will pick a book now and start reading ASAP, so hopefully we will have a chance to win :)

Looks like Team One have won this round!
I just wanted to say thank you for a fun game - while we didn't talk as much as some of the other teams, I had a really good time playing this with you all :)

This was my second attempt to read Lisa Jackson. My first was a bust and so was this one. I was so disappointed because all of her books sound good. The writing is horrible, the plots are good but poorly executed with people being nearly killed one minute and having sex the next. Where does that happen? I also don't care for descriptive sex in books. Seems like a crutch for poor writers. The dialogue is ridiculous. Anyway, I haven't anything good to say, so I'll stop here.
Needless to say it's my last Lisa Jackson book. I wouldn't have finished it, but I needed it for another challenge too. I'm glad it's over.
