In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.

The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them....

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 41 comments I got advice from someone to read the first three TMI books, then TID, and then the 4th and 5th TMI books. That's what I did and I thought it was perfect. It helped to know the future from TMI in order to understand the past in TID, if that makes sense. So I'd recommend reading it that way. However, technically you'll be just fine starting with TID and the connections are so loose between the two series that it won't really hurt your reading experience or be confusing or anything :) Enjoy!!

Nyxie Icegale (wintergirl7) | 1 comments Clockwork Angel is one of my FAVORITE books ever. You should definitely read it. I read TMI first and then TID, but it doesn't really matter much what order you read it in. I personally liked TID better than TMI.
