I love best friends to romance stories! They don't seem to be as popular as other hooks, so I grab them up when I see them. :)

Laura AKA Loves 2 Read Romance | 909 comments I like all different kinds of romances. I can't name a specific type. However I would say my favorite era is Regency. But I enjoy all the different time periods it really just depends on my mood.

message 203: by Carole (new)

Carole Jarvis Welcome, Sherri! JoBeth and Garrett seem like a couple with lots of chemistry and I look forward to their story. What is the setting or location for your stories?

When it comes to my favorite kind of story, I'm hopelessly addicted to mail order/marriage of convenience, probably because I like to see them already committed and learning to work things out in the midst of a growing attraction. I'm also especially drawn to Regencies, but would love to see more stories set during the American Revolution era.

message 204: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Shackelford (sherrishackelford) | 169 comments Sarah, I don't necessarily base them off people I know, but I do think about personality traits of people I know :)

Ausjenny | 4959 comments Im late replying love the sound of the book and now I need to know the secret. sounds like a really good book

message 206: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Shackelford (sherrishackelford) | 169 comments Jenny, you are never late! Now, according to my foreign rights, the Marshal's Ready-Made Family should be available in ebook in Australia :)

message 207: by Sherri (last edited Feb 06, 2014 06:56PM) (new)

Sherri Shackelford (sherrishackelford) | 169 comments Ahhh, Thank you, Cheryl!

Laura, I love Regency as well :) I miss the old Zebra/Signet Sweet Regencies. Someday, I will bring them back all on my own!!!

Karen, I am going to think about the 'best friends to romance'...we do need more of those.

message 208: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Shackelford (sherrishackelford) | 169 comments Carole, Oooh, there aren't enough American Revolution stories!

Renee, Hello ..I had so much fun with JoBeth. She's fearless. I love that in a heroine ;)

message 209: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 4959 comments yes we can get it through mills and boons. its actually cheaper to get it via the bookdepository. I can read a book better now cos I have reading glasses but I just tire so quickly still.

message 210: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Sparkes (wendysparkes) | 340 comments I'm with Dorothy ~ I also love a strong hero with a love for children. This hero sounds great!

As for favourite kind of story, I'm a sucker for the "Love Reunited" stories, but enjoy others as well.

What a great Q&A we've had this week! Thanks to our fabulous February authors and our wonderful group members!

Now I have a little announcement. A couple of months ago I told the LIH authors I wouldn't be able to continue hosting the Q&A after February. My June book that winds up my Glass Slipper Brides series will be my last for LIH and I have a couple of self-publishing projects I'm working on that are going to take a lot of my time.

Several awesome volunteers stepped forward to help keep the Q&A going! Starting this month Dorothy Clark will be taking care of the giveaways. Then in starting in March Karen Kirst Louise Gouge and Patty Smith Hall have all volunteered to take turns hosting. Naomi Rawlings offered to host another Q&A later in the month for indie inspirational romances by LIH authors.

I was so grateful for their support and generosity that I decided I could continue to help out by being part of the host rotation! So, a big thank you to Dorothy, Karen, Patty, Louise and Naomi!!! I'll be helping behind the scenes as they learn the ropes and I know our members will help them out too.

message 212: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Sparkes (wendysparkes) | 340 comments Deb ~ A big Thank You for the fun you have given us with the monthly Q&As, the Easter Hunts, & last January's 600 member party. I have had fun taking part, whether I have won anything or not. It's a lot of work, & I've been very grateful for the time you've spent organising these events.

Thank You also to Dorothy, Karen, Louise, Patty & Naomi who have offered to continue with the Q&As for us.

Paula-O (kyflo130) | 2257 comments I have not been able to be here much this week but look forward to others and these ladies are awesome to volunteer...we will love seeing them , Hope you have productive times with your writing Deborah, you have been swell to work with us on these get togethers and so thankful.

Sherri Shackelford (sherrishackelford) | 169 comments Jenny, I only recently discovered the book depository! What a great resource.

Wendy, Love Reunited! Another great trope.

message 215: by Valri (new)

Valri Western | 964 comments Hello Sherri! I wasn't able to get on here yesterday. Here in Oregon we are in the middle of a huge winter storm! The rest of the country has had their share but not the west coast...until yesterday. Our little town got 13 inches of snow in one day yesterday! That's a lot! We are pretty much snow bound. It is good though because we need it. You know I love this book. I still have the one you sent me and I can't wait to read it :)

message 216: by Nina (new)

Nina | 42 comments this sounds really good, Heartland Courtship, wish some one would do a story set way back about a woman falling for a ghost that she doesnot know that he is a ghost, lol

Thanks to all the authors who will be helping out I love the Q&A week. Thanks Deb for all you have done also and best wishes for your indie projects. So good to hear Naomi is going to host indie Q&A. Just cos you will not be LIH we still want to hear all about your books. I personally feel like you are a good friend and i know others feel the same. I actually feel that friendship with so many in this group.

message 224: by Valri (new)

Valri Western | 964 comments Sherri, I'm trying to stay warm! I HAD to drive into town today to get some groceries! It was crazy - the roads were nothing but snow & ice - but I have a fantastic Subaru that drives like a dream in those conditions so I had no problem! It's snowing once again so we will be snowbound I suppose !!!

I personally feel like you are a good friend and i know others feel the same.

Thanks, Ausjenny, that was such a lovely thing to say! And thanks to everyone else for the kind words.

I started the Q&A in part because I wanted more of an opportunity to interact with the members of this group and with the other LIH authors. That has been a real joy for me because you are the BEST! That's why I'm so grateful to the new volunteers. With so many helping hands, it meant I could still keep involved while taking a break when life gets hectic with other projects and family commitments.

I also wanted to share the enjoyment I've found in being involved with this wonderful group!

message 238: by Brittany (new)

Brittany | 220 comments Sorry I wasn't able to hop on in the discussions this week much, but I was reading back through some of the posts and am glad to hear that these Q&A sessions will continue. It is such a fun time to come and chat and ask questions. Thanks for all the organization you have done, Deborah, and thanks to the other authors who are stepping in to take over :-)

message 239: by Dorothy (new)

Dorothy Clark | 1393 comments Attention: Due to a lack of response, I have conducted another drawing.

CONGRATULATIONS, PAULA-O! You are the winner of Sherri Shakleford's book! I will be contacting you. Watch for it!

Thanks for doing a great job on the giveaway, Dorothy!

message 243: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 4959 comments Found it.
I cant believe how much better I feel now the gall bladder is out. I walked this morning for over 40 mins without being exhausted. I haven't walked that far since the end of Oct. I dont feel sick all the time or exhausted like I was. I still have the headaches so that issue is still there but its not as bad as it was. I haven't felt good for so long that its feels so good.
My wounds are healing still a little sore but are healing nicely. they dont like having anything on them but are doing good

message 245: by Paula-O (new)

Paula-O (kyflo130) | 2257 comments Great news Jenny...that was a long walk.
Happy to be a winner and surprised as not in on all the authors days...hubby had double hernia operation in January and not doing well at all, he has lung infection too so guess both are keeping him down.

message 246: by Ausjenny (new)

Ausjenny | 4959 comments Paula sorry to hear about your husband. I hope he starts to pick up quickly from now on.
