Jason (desiderio) | 23 comments Hello! I just joined the group and I'm excited to find like-minded folk (queer as, of course). A bit about me...I am the proverbial eternal English major (although I gradauted way back in 94 from UNC-Chapel Hill) and I love literary, dark, gothic, gay, fantasy, and a bit of sci-fi fiction. I'm also very keen on live indie and alternative music and have a blast listening to all 80s alternative especially post-punk. Revered writers include Angela Carter, Shirley Jackson, Elizabeth Hand, Ian McEwan, Alan Hollinghurst, James Baldwin, Carson McCullers...ah...it goes on and on!

Hi Jason and a belated welcome. My reading tastes are eclectic too, though lately I've been tending to escape into SFF and gay YA. But even amongst those I've found some real literature, most recently The Sparrow and The Brothers Bishop

This months group read Two Boys Kissing is quite worthwhile, much mores o than I expected.

Hi...Kernos...sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I'm currently reading _Two Boys Kissing_...so far so good. I have read _The Sparrow_ and thought it was very well written and also interesting. I need to read the sequel (I have it but haven't gotten to it yet). Right now reading In Awe and Mira Corpora I guess it's a very gay goth boy phase....plus i just re-read _Lost Souls_ by Poppy Z. Brite...so definitely gay goth boy phase!
