Thank you, Kath. Oh yes, I've spotted 'that' section! I'm impressed by the the amount of interaction in this group. By the way (dreadful, I know, I'm chattering off topic already) your book, Ravenfold, has been sitting in the number one position of the 'Also Boughts' on my book's page. Quite some time there now although I haven't checked today.Thank you, Matthew. I remember when you were new on KUF - now it's the other way round! And boy have you moved on since then. As has Kath! Congrats to both of you.
Thank you, David, for your welcome. I'm happy to be here and doing more than just reading the posts, though there is no way I'll catch up with your 2900+ posts. When you get to 3,000 do you throw a party?
They'll probably throw me in the sin bin. To be honest, most of it is waffle, and its no where near Darren's thread. You'll be surprised how they tot up if you talk a load of rot :~)
Waffle? I can do that too!I notice you've been sitting on your books for years. I know how that feels too. My wip is coming along sloooowly.
David wrote: "Yes. I had to get off eventually; they were beginning to chafe!"I've just checked your hatchlings - oh cool! Lots of them and all doing well.
Indeed, and I think there's a different genre among them, needs a little more nurturing before I let it out into the world ;~)
Thanks, Patti. I keep adding an 'e' in my mind to your baconater and it's cruel - I can almost smell that bacon.
Hi I'm Rachel. I live in Newcastle upon Tyne, I love animals and reading. I just can't get enough :-)

Philip (sarah) wrote: "Hello Anna and Rachel, welcome!"Thank you - I've just taken a look at your profile, Sarah, and gently chuckled. Yes, we've all had to learn so much since computers got their foots in our doors. It'll be robots next.
What I need is a robot who could sort all my IT problems and free up more of my time for reading Anna.Computers make me swear ;@)!

To save myself from being found dead slumped over a destroyed computer/internet connection, I am teaching myself to be cool, calm and in another room making a cup of tea.
I have fewer cups of tea now that we have changed our broadband provider.
Hi everyone I'm Debbie, not published yet but the aim is to self-publish by the end of the year.I'm a Riding Instructor and lived in Canada for five years. Have two kids one cat, dog and horse.
I love to write, albeit not very well and of course read. Just finished The Book Thief and about to start Twelve Years a Slave.
Will read lots of different genre's, my own is a young adult fantasy. (Think Black Stallion meets Percy Jackson meets Hunger Games!)
Anyway that's me for now, looking forward to making friends and finding new books to read.
Hi, Deborah, and welcome to the general mayhem that is the UKAKF.Good luck with writing and publishing your book.

David wrote: "Scarlett, put some clothes on; it's very distracting ;~)"Ha ha you should see the pic for the interview I did called *posing naked* with the author Francis Potts on his blog lol now #THAT would be distracting lol Morning All
Your picture is rather tasteful, artistic even, but distracting nonetheless. I'm not going to seek out the other picture, honestly!
Jud (Disney Diva) wrote: "Hope you've just popped in today David :o)Welcome Deborah!"
Yes, carefully popped, and now off to work :~(
David wrote: "Your picture is rather tasteful, artistic even, but distracting nonetheless. I'm not going to seek out the other picture, honestly!"Didn't expect you to to be honest :) Yes they were professionally done for a future book cover thanks
Hi Elizabeth, welcome to the group :~)If I'm yawning,it's because I've only just get out of bed. Well... not literally, I took the time to dress and make a brew.
Dressing is so over rated.I reckon all that's necessary is a sarong while the villa is being cleaned.
Jud (Disney Diva) wrote: "Welcome by the way, Elizabeth. Please don't be put off by our nekkid Patti, she's on holiday."
Yep. And I've told Dave he's gonna have to pry my fingers off the side of the pool to get me outta this place.
Elizabeth wrote: "Pool. Villa. Is it a real pool and real villa? My overactive imagination has taken off into Stealing Beauty land. I know, it was in Italy not England but still.

That's alright Patti is a Canadian living in Baku on holiday in Thailand who also lives in Wales when not in Baku.
Patti, how come you don't have an identity crisis?
I haven't looked in on this thread for a week or so and I see we have lovely new members.A big welcome to Elizabeth and Deborah. See you around and about this group, I hope.
Elizabeth wrote: "I'm a Kindle author, who lives in Portland, Oregon USA.I would say that I have all British ancestors (and some Anglo-Irish ones). From deep reading of British and Irish sites, I've gathered that ..."
Hi Elizabeth I have Irish blood too xXx Welcome :)
I'm a Kindle author living in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas. My ancestors are a mixed lot and probably yawn-worthy except possibly my Canadian grandfather. A wandering spirit, he was...I haven't wandered as far as Baku like Patti but I've done a bit of country-hopping in my day, to include three years in the UK. So..can I stay and play?
