Steve Anderson | 15 comments Anyone familiar with Joseph Hone? I just started his The Private Sector and am really enjoying it. It's the first in his Marlow series and reminds me of Le Carré or Littell. Can't remember who recommended him, but I'm glad they did.

Mark | 3 comments Steve, I read The Private Sector last year and found it at once interesting and slow. I will try another one of the Hone novels because the series looks like it might fall under the forgotten gems file, Mark

KOMET | 35 comments Steve,

Thanks for the tip about Joseph Hone. I had never heard of him before. So I did an online search last night and Hone's oeuvre looks rather impressive. I hope the local library has some of his stuff available.

Mark, Hone does take his time, but the writing is so great to me that I let him get away with it.

KOMET, you're welcome!

Steve Anderson | 15 comments Congrats, Ron. ; ) David Downing does good stuff. Some think it's a little slow-moving, but the details and realism are always good.
