Jack got out o the truck, ran a hand through his hair and said confidently, "You ready?"
He entered the building and started signing up for his classes for the semester, "I think I'll get the required classes out of the way. Whabout you?"
"Nikki, your fine. I bet you'll become friends with the first girl you meet and I'l find some other guy with a truck to chill with."
"Just ralk. After we fillbout our stuff, I'll go with you and socialize until you feel comfortable making your own friends."
He finished filling out his forms, "Done with yours and ready to socialize?"
There were loads of people showing up for orientation, meeting people, talking. He turned in his papers, "Well better get your game on. Let's go. There's a group of people about our age. Guys and girls. No awkwardness whatsoever."
He walked over, "Howdy. I'm Jack and this is my best friend Nikki. We're freshman here, are you guys?"

Jack laughed, "Nikki chill. It's no biggee." In truth it stung but he didn't want to let them no that. They backed off in response to her, "Alright. Fine. What;s your name?"
Jack shoved a hand in his pocket. He knew this wouldn't be his crowd but he wouldn't let that stop her from making some friends. He'd just chill until she felt comfortable and try and make some pals of his own. He didn't mind a few jerks as long as they weren't mean to Nikki.

He shrugged, acting nonchalant, "Hey, city parties probably aren't my thing. You go 'n' chill with your new friends." He couldn't help but notice that she was fitting in and he wasn't exactly. He said casually, "You keep talkin', I'll go meet a few others."

Claire called, "We'll pick you up at nine! Wear club attire!"
Jack looked up as she came and smiled, "How'd it go?"

He shrugged, heading towards the door, "Not really, but hey. At least you found some. I'm here to study. As long as your happy I'll be fine."
He nodded, smiling at her happiness, "Hope I don't get lost trying to get to my classes."
He wrapped a friendly arm around her, "What'cha wearing to that party tonight?"
"Sure. I'll tell you how nice you look in everything so you don't freak out when they pick you up."
He laughed, "AFter we dress you up for the party."
He laughed, sprinting. He was very fit and athletic.
He knelt next to her, teasing, "I can, but that's why I don't. You okay?"
He sighed, "Let's get you home and fix you up and THEN go dress shopping for you, 'kay?"
"But your limping..." He muttered reluctantly, not in the mood to fight.
He got in the car, "You mind if I drop you off at the store? I'm not feeling well. I'll set up the video games..."
He drove towards a dress shop.
"Have fun," he smiled as she left then drove home, once again alone. At least she had friends and was fitting in. MAybe he was just having a bad day.
He went home and made himself some hot cocoa.
He was waiting outside, got out and opened the door, "Pretty dress."
"It'll look nice on you. All your friends'll be jealous."
He smiled back, "I have call of duty set up."
He drove to their creepy little place.
"No, but I can't get the heater to work. Guess it's just old."
He went into the TV room and turned on the remotes, "Will you be eating out?"
"It's fine. I needed some time anyhow. A power nap."
"Like I said. Just needed a power nap. I'm sure it was just a bad day."
He asked, "You wanna be player one?"
He chuckled and handed her the remote.
He half laughed and started the game.
