Why in the movie was there no cannon for Marvel and Rue?

I was just re-watching the movie and saw that there were no cannon for them and the only conclusion I can come to is that they forgot.

or it could've ruined the whole drama vibe Katniss was getting into, besides for Rue's part it was just all music and no sound at one point when she died, it could've "sounded" at that point.

Either way, lacking a cannon sound for either one of them is understandable since it was such a traumatic moment for Katniss. It's a little more objective in the movies, but just like in the books, the things the character sees and hears are emphasized and the rest is sort of muted. So like, maybe we don't hear the cannon because Katniss didn't hear it because she was so overwhelmed at the time.

I think it was true, but I also think they wanted it that way because it was a tragic scene with music and all.

They also cut to the district and family of Rue watching the scene along with music, possibly the cannon would have disrupted and lessened the pain and anguish of the moment in the movie version.

Honestly there is no cannon for either Marvel or Rue and personally I believe they just wanted the moment to be a sacred and special moment in the movie. It shows the death of Katniss’s ally and only friend in the arena. Adding a cannon would have ruined the muse of the scene.

Well I don't know if anyone cares but let's keep in mind that the movie is Katniss' perspective and Katniss lost hearing in one ear. So it probably did go off but Katniss didn't hear it because of her ear so we probably didn't hear it either.
